Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered our questions. The tour coordinator was great at getting us through lines to connect with our guide. We saw St. Peter’s on our own.

It was the best choice we made and guide was super helpful. She has so much knowledge about place and she was very friendly and enthusiastic personality. She kept the tour fun and intriguing while also providing solid historical background.

No vale la pena

Alma_S, Jul 2025
We booked this tour with high expectations, paying €135 per person, for a total of €735 for the five of us. It said there would be no queues and a Spanish-speaking guide. There were certainly too many people, but it's not really worth it because the “no queues” part is relative; it only applies to the entrance, and even then you still have to queue to get in. What I mean is that you can pay just 56 euros for a tour with no queues and it will be the same. The guide was irritable, forgot to explain many things, such as the golden orb at the entrance to the Vatican, was in a hurry, and we were rushing around everywhere (to be honest, there wasn't much room to stop), but when asked questions, she answered without much enthusiasm and too briefly, which left me with doubts, but I didn't want to ask any more questions so as not to bother her. Even so, there were 15 of us on the tour. I expected it to be a smaller group for the price per person. It's not worth booking it this way or with this agency. Poor value for money. Buy a normal skip-the-line tour and it's the same thing. I really regret it, and we couldn't see the Basilica because it was closed for a Jubilee mass, and the guide said we could go in later but that she wouldn't be accompanying us. I don't recommend it at all.

Dear Alma, Thank you for sharing your opinion with us. We are truly sorry to learn that your experience did not meet your expectations. At Touristation, customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we deeply value all feedback, as every review is considered an opportunity to improve our services. However, we would like to point out that the maximum group size is clearly stated in the product description, where it says: "This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers." Therefore, the presence of 15 participants was entirely possible and in line with the advertised service. Regarding the queues you mentioned, we would like to clarify that security checks at the venue are mandatory for all visitors, and during peak periods, some waiting time may occur, regardless of the type of ticket purchased. If you need further assistance or wish to discuss your concerns in more detail, please feel free to contact us via email at info@touristation.it. Our team is always available and ready to assist you. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide a better experience in the future. Best regards, Touristation Customer Service

Our tour guide was sweet, energetic, personable, and very knowledgeable throughout this Vatican tour. We really enjoyed our time as a family with her and the group we were with. Viator made it very simple traveling to a different country at a very, very busy time of year to keep us informed of the status and exact location. It made everything about this tour simple

Viator bad tour scheduling

Mike_G, May 2025
Viator didn’t schedule enough time to get from this Vatican City tour to the second Viator tour of the colosseum so we had to walk away from this tour and didn’t get a refund.

Response from Host, May 2025

Dear Mike, Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We greatly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify critical areas for improvement and develop the right solutions to enhance our services. To assist you better, we kindly invite you to share more details with us via email at info@touristation.it . Our customer service team is always available and ready to assist you. Thank you once again for your valuable input. We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction and look forward to serving you better in the future. Best regards, Touristation Customer Service

It was ok

Anita_H, May 2025
Well, the Vatican was holding the conclave to elect a new Pope so we could not see the Sistine Chapel (not the tour groups fault, of course), but they abandoned the guided tour and offered us either a partial refund along with our tickets so we could still walk through the museums and see St Peter's basilica, OR we could choose another of their guided tours without a refund. These options were ok, but we didn't understand why they didn't do the guided tour. There were plenty of other guided tour groups inside! There was also no way to get a refund of the actual tickets. Again, not the tour groups fault. We did the self-guided tour they had inside the Vatican museum.

Sometimes stars lie. Stay away from this company.

Absolute garbage. Cancelled my booking the day before my tour. Re booed at midnight and went to bed. Woke up to find it was cancelled again. Re booked last minute as it was the last day of our vacation and it was sold out. Booked a lesser tour and it was cancelled too. This company was highly recommended but for us it was THE WORST SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE EVER! #neveragain

Our guide, Fiona (?) was knowledgeable, patient, and very careful to keep track of us. Though the tour was fast paced, we learned a great deal.
