Cozy atmosphere, poor views

Nobody will open the door for you, even if you ring the button in the street for 10-15 min. We were lucky that someone who was leaving opened the door for us. Rooftop is on the 6th floor. It is unclear how to get there, as facility (called Navona Suites) is mainly used for accommodation and btw charges money from external visitors of the roof. Roof is spacious, equipped with nice sofas and small tables. Quite music is played on the speaker. Drinks were fine (we asked for Aperol). Snacks were of low level (black olives, potato chips, something else unrecognized). Views from roof do not justify the cost! One mainly sees the old and rusty roofs of the neighboring buildings. Most annying - St. Peter's Basilica is hidden behind other church and hardly can be seen. Overall, cozy atmosphere, but less views to enjoy. Other rooftops overlooking the Vatican City are much preferred.

The rooftop bar was really cool. But, the fact our uber dropped us off and we couldn't find the venue irked me. We had to walk 20 min to find it. There has to be a better job with a hotel name or something for the event. All the buildings look the same in Italy. We almost missed the event because we arrived so late. Thank God the hotel concierge let us still go up and have our drinks and views and hang out for a while. There needs to be clearer directions and the exact name of the hotel. Google maps just showed the center of the street when we pulled it up on the maps. Overall, it was a good experience but the directions need to be more clear cut and concise.

Beautiful view

The evening was relaxing and the view was beautiful. Unfortunately we didn’t realize there were two different codes needed to access the building and the rooftop. Luckily some concerned residents were able to help us out. The young man who helped us enjoy our evening wasn’t quite sure what to do but one phone call solved that. Overall it was a great experience. Thanks very much.
