The tour was okay, the guide was not the best. The redeeming factor was that it was cool in the catacombs which was a relief from the outside temperature.

This was a really interesting tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the history of the Roman catacombs come alive with his story telling. It was also an awesome way to beat the heat on an extremely hot afternoon!

Very interesting tour, and guide Daniel was excellent! Very comfortable clean transportation included from Rome to and from the tour which is within Vatican City. This is great place to escape the summer heat.

This tour was awesome! Especially in a 104 degree heat wave - the underground space is cool and interesting. Francesca (our tour guide) was so knowledgeable, personable, and made sure our group had a great experience despite there being multiple field trips at the catacombs at the same time as us. She shared incredible levels of detail and had a cute sense of humor that we enjoyed! Would recommend

Met with agency sign on street (helpful if looking for storefront). Excellent guide - Daniel who was knowledgeable, welcoming, and had a great dry sense of humor. The catacombs were cold! (16C/61F). Gift shop on site, toilettes, and seats inside the basilica, if tired. Many other groups there but just shuffled about. Daniel had a flash light, we could use our phone flashlight but no pics allowed. Mildly ‘dark’ due to touring graves (shouldn’t be surprising) and my children did ok, however when I did this tour the year prior with 70 middle schoolers, there was a kiddo having an existential crisis - which was surprising.

While the tour of the forum was good and the guide was great, not having a guide in the colliseum was very disappointing. We were told guides were not permitted and once we got in there were many groups with guides.

It seems like this review was posted to the wrong business, as you did not have a Colosseum tour with us. Your tour included the Domitilla catacombs.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and the catacombs. He was professional and friendly to everyone. We had 3 young children (ages 3 to 9), so the express tour was perfect for their attention span. Overall, our family had a fun time exploring the catacomb.

Tour was mildly interesting, but not what was expected since there were not really any bones - mostly just some holes in the walls and some frescoes. No photos allowed at all. It also says it's 2 hours but it was closer to 1.5 with half of that being drive time to/from the catacombs site.

We understand that not everyone can have the same taste. There are not many "bones" in these Catacombs and photos are not allowed out of respect.

Fascinating exploration of the catacombs of Rome. Daniel spoke perfect English and was a history geek extraordinaire. I learned more about the beginnings of Christianity on this tour than a similar tour of the Basilica of St Peter. I highly recommend you include this tour on your trip to Rome.

Dan was not only extremely knowledgeable of the history of the Catacombs, but also had a very unique and welcoming personality. We had the tour scheduled for 16 people but it ended up only being just my husband and I— our tour guide Mario was AMAZING. So personable, informative, and truly made it a wonderful experience. The catacombs were full of macabre history that allows you to go back in time. I could not recommend this enough!

The tour felt very underwhelming. The guide seemed enthusiastic about the catacombs and sympathic, but the detail of explanations and the mid-German-language-knowledge were rather limited. It felt like the entire tour being approx. 1.5 hours and containing around 45 minutes (both ways) of transport by car to/from the catacombs, and the rest was just going a bit through some corridors in the catacombs itself. For us, unfortunately rather underwhelming.

The transfer takes 15 minutes max to get there and 15 mins to come back, and then the tour is around 1 hour once you get to the Catacombs (due to safety reasons, and to avoid overcrowding).
We hope that you enjoyed our guide's commentary nevertheless.
