While it was very cool, I had a hard time listening to the tour guide and understanding him. This tour is all history based with no chances for pictures (of yourself/group).

Thank you for your review, we appreciate the honest feedback. While we will definitely look into our audio devices to see if there were any issues, please understand that the area you visit during this tour is very small and can easily get overcrowded. Therefore, for safety reasons, it would be difficult to stop and take photos. However, please note that our guides are always happy to snap some pictures of you at the end of the tour!

Disappointing and not for us.

Review If you are expecting to see the aqueduct behind and under the Trevi Fountain you will be disappointed. The underground refers to ruins of a Roman apartment block and a water cistern which is surrounded by a walkway and located 2 or 3 minutes away. It was interesting but express means just that, we were in and out in 20 minutes at best and didn’t get to see the upper walkway though it was probably just a different view of the same ruin. The Trevi part was an explanation of the statues, and who they portrayed on the different levels. That was interesting however after about 5 minutes the headsets were collected and the guide was off, leaving us thinking “is that it?”. For us it was overpriced and disappointing - we could have self guided ourselves at a fraction of the price and spent an extra 5 minutes underground (the tour is stated to be 40 minutes so could have been covered). If you understand what you will see and that express means just that, you will be fine, it just wasn’t for us unfortunately.

Thank you for your review. We would firstly like to apologise about not delivering the experience that you were expecting after purchasing the tour with us. We would, however, like to clarify that the tour inclusions and exclusions are all specified and mentioned thoroughly on the voucher. We always mention that you do not go underneath Trevi, but to the Vicus Caprarius - Città dell'acqua. The tour includes a brief explanation in front of the Trevi Fountain and then the entrance to the Underground of the Vicus. The length, as you mentioned, is 40 minutes. Meaning that the whole tour (inside and outside) will take 40 minutes, as we believe that no longer is required. However, we will definitely take your comments into consideration and do what we find necessary. Thank you and, again, our apologies for disappointing you.

We were quite disappointed in the tour. As many others were, we felt misled by the title and truly believed that we would be seeing Trevi fountain included. Ok we went afterwards but still Marko was our guide, started by telling us more than once how boring this tour was. Partly tongue in cheek but hey it was a bit. He spent some time talking about the fountain but we weren't even close enough to take a decent picture. He spent time talking about the old church. Then he walked us to a gelato shop. Then we finally went to the museum, yep it's just a museum. 3 euros entry or 5 with an audio guide. We wouldn't have spent 15 minutes in there . What an overpriced tour... Lesson learnt ...

We had a wonderful & very knowledgeable tour guide! She was great! It was disappointing to find out at the end that this tour did not allow any express access to the Trevi fountain. I found that misleading. We were told that we would have to stand in line with everyone else at the end of our underground tour.

This tour was not what I expected - I thought we were touring the underground aqueduct of the Trevi fountain. This was a boring tour of a corporation sponsored ruins. Tour guide was nice and all but very boring. Communication was good and the guide was nice but wouldn’t recommend this.

Great tour, very interesting and unique, unlike any other tours we have done thus far. Our tour guide was very kind and very knowledgeable. I recommend this tour if you are interested is seeing something that is different than the “normal things” you see in Rome. Also the location where the aqueducts are is a hotel and bar/restaurant, so if you are interested in eating/staying there!

Viator and this tour operator do not care about tourists only money

What tour? They left without us, and the tour operator or Viator declined to assist us. We wasted $160 on nothing! Terrible customer service. Very untrustworthy company both Viator and the tour operator. We were scheduled to arrive at the meeting point 20 minutes early to enjoy the sights before starting our tour. We were stuck in the underground metro for 25 minutes. We asked the tour operator to wait or reschedule and were told they would only wait 5 minutes then go on without us. We arrived 3 minutes after the starting point and they had already left without us. They did not wait the measly 5 minutes we were given to run through crowded streets (with teenagers and my senior mother in tow). And then did not offer to reschedule or help at all. We were just told to contact Viator and the conversation ended. Viator did nothing to assist us, left me wondering how they were going to assist, if at all, for 5 hours. Nothing. Then when I followed up, I was told there was no possibility of assistance and that the tour was a no-show. Thanks Viator! You lost 5 customers so far. Going with other tour providers from now on.
