I would not recommend this tour. Our small group tour ended up being a mixed Italian/Spanish/English group. The guide spoke very little English and gave the tour in mainly Italian and Spanish. The group of English speakers and I found it frustrating and disappointing because we were so excited to learn about the history. The last church, the guide just dropped us off and left. He told us go explore for 30 minutes. There were zero secret basilicas on this tour. Just the usual famous ones. This trip was basically an overpriced ride to the catacombs and drive by of two basilicas. Don’t waste your money on this one.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us a lot about the history of Rome and churches would 100% recommend this tour. Underground catacombs were very interesting. Would recommend if coming to Rome

This was a really interesting tour! Our guide Alessandro knew his subject and did a great job explaining points of interest. The tour was cut short because of police closures due to anti war protests, which was disappointing, but out of the tours control. Alessandro tried hard to make due by showing us the basilicas from the outside.
This was a nice way to see an area outside of downtown Rome with a talented guide. Would recommend again!

The Catacombs are truly incredible. A highlight of Rome for me. The guide of this trip is not the guide in the catacombs, however, and he was mediocre. Visits to Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni were excellent, though we didn’t do much more than walk through. Our guide was impressively multi-lingual and spoke in Spanish, English, and Italian.

We were so excited to see 3 of the sites we have always wanted to see in Rome the catacombs Saint John Lateran in Saint Mary major churches. Our tour guide had a good knowledge of everything we had a great time.

Muy buen tour, tanto el guía de las catedrales como el de las catacumbas fueron excelentes. Hubo un poco de retraso con los tiempos pero entendemos que fue por el tráfico en la ciudad.

Comprei um passeio em português. E em nenhum momento se falou português. O guia era bom, porém, falava espanhol e inglês. O motorista nos buscou no hotel mas não nos trouxe de volta e isto não fica claro quando compramos. Me senti enganada e gostaria de metade do meu dinheiro de volta.

We can only suppose you were the only reservation in portuguese that day, so Operations decided to squeeze the customers in just one bilingual group as opposed to cancel or reschedule your departure. As you can understand, the costs we bear for a single tour wouldn't allow to hire a single guide for a single customer in a specific language so when this happens we try to incorporate the guests into one big group and guarantee departure. If you haven't done so already, you can always try to contact the Viator Customer Service. They will open a ticket and tell you whether a refund or partial refund is possible or not.
