Very confusing ticket purchase

One star was not for the experience of the Pantheon which was very impressive and jaw-dropping. However our experience buying our tickets thru this website was terrible, hence one star. We were refused entry three times using three different forms of what we thought were tickets which were emailed to me. Even though it said ‘Ticket’ we were told it was a voucher for a ticket which we had to exchange for a ‘real’ ticket. We finally said screw it and ended up buying tickets at ‘the door’. Now maybe it was me, and I didn’t understand what I was doing, but I’ve downloaded many tickets which I’ve purchased on line for flights, trains, museums, guided tours (not with Viator tho), etc. and always received THE TICKETS in an email, not a voucher for a ticket. I’m just glad this didn’t involve a lot of money.

The Viator reps in Rome are absolutely amazing. Helpful and flexible. I will book with them again! Traffic in Rome is bad so always a lot more time than necessary and have your uber driver take you to pickup ticket point!

Buy your tickets with time from cultura.gov.it for a fraction of the price. The tour company is just scalping tickets, they are very rude and they me made go twice because they only have tickets ready less than an hour before the entry time. Zero adde value.

The absolute worst...

The absolute worst service. The email sent to you provides a 'ticket' that you can add to your Google wallet, but that is not a ticket. Its a voucher that needs to be collected around the corner at a completely different location that has nothing to do with the Pantheon. The lines are really long because everyone buys an online ticket. So after waiting and then being told I would have to leave and go to a different office, my reserved time space would no longer be valid. Really disappointed and will never use this company again.

It was very, very hard to figure out where to go. We ended up having to buy a ticket because we were in the wrong line, and the lines were extremely long even though it says “skip the line“

Not Happy with Viator

I booked a last minute Pantheon ticket. The only way to retrieve/ my voucher was through 3 email options that I do not have (Outlook, Apple or Gmail). We were denied entry and never got to see it.

When I got to the location to pick up my 9:30am tickets they claimed they no longer had it. They said they tried to call and text but I had no missing calls or texts from unknown numbers. I think this company is very dishonest. Unfortunately, because of this, my wife and I had to try to wait in line. After 20 mins of waiting they shut the line down and said they were full until 12:00. So we didn’t get to see the Pantheon at all. I don’t know how I paid for a 9:30 ticket days before and then the day of it’s not there…?

This is the only way to see the pantheon - you need to skip the line and the audio guide is all you need. It will only take an hour but is a must see in Italian history.

Beautiful place, but you wouldn't spend more than an hour there. Little bit of difficulty getting to where we needed to validate our tickets, but once there the staff were so helpful.

Skip the line is Great, audio not so much…

The ability to skip the lines & get right in was fantastic. We went later in the day, 6pm, so there weren’t huge lines anyhow, but essentially walking right in was a plus. The Pantheon itself was amazing & historically awesome. It is a sight to see & shouldn’t be missed. As for the audio, it’s an app you have to download on your phone & the person you pick up the tickets from logs you in….& it just ends up being the Rick Steves audio tour of the Pantheon, & since it’s on your phone, you need headphones (which aren’t provided) to hear it or let it play out loud on speaker & hold your phone to your ear for 30 minutes. While not the most terrible problem, would have been good to know in advance.

Eventho you have a ‘skip the line ticket’, you need to wait in line with everyone else who has a ‘skip the line’ ticket. Everyone sells “skip the line” tickets; therefore, the line of people with “skip the line tickets” is longer than the actual /regular line to enter.

Fabulous for avoiding the queues - head over to the centre left of the main entrance with the skip the line tickets and a little note - start the audio guide before you go in!!

Leave a bit of extra time. The on-line purchase is for a voucher you redeem for tickets approx 3 min walk from the Pantheon. The skip- the-line ticket was well worth the price. You can download an app for an audio tour, which we did not do.

$26 a person so I’m not sure what the cost would be to skip the line & just enter but honestly you don’t spend much time inside… maybe 10-15 minutes. Outside building is worth the walk around

This IS NOT a ticket, it’s a voucher. In order to get the ticket for entrance you must go to the ticket office which is located at via germanico 27, which is 33 minute walk away. Nowhere on the ticket purchase page does it mention this. Do NOT buy this voucher.

Skip the line was great but go early to find the office

Skip the line tickets vital for this and got us in very quickly. The office was not easy to find as it was not clear on the map as to where it was. Also the free audio tour not great. Worth getting for the skip the line access alone.

The app was misleading. I signed up for "today" but that was actually tomorrow. When I went to get the ticket, I was told my time slot was the next day. The guys there were awesome and made sure we got in. I can't thank them enough for their help!!!!!!

The Pantheon is an absolute must to see. We arranged for skip-the-line tickets. On the morning we went, our queue was far longer than the ticket office/entry but moved fairly quickly. The guide who ensured we entered without issue was extremely helpful and polite.

We took the audio guided tour. It was easy to claim your ticket from the tour office. You download the audio guide while in the office. Then you simply walk to to the pantheon with a tour representative and it's only steps away from the pantheon.

Easy to follow instructions were provided by the gentleman in the office. We were early so there was no guide available but this was incredibly easy to use. If you do the audio guide start it as you leave the office. The office is located very close to the pantheon.

The collection point to get the tickets is not at the Pantheon. In the basic description it states to pick up the tickets at the designated point which one would assume was at the pantheon ticket booth, but nope. It’s not there, and when it’s 90 degrees out with 80% humidity, two elderly people and me with a hurt knee, having to walk even further was not fun nor was what was expected.
