José was our favorite tour guide that we had in Rome. He’s an art historian and gave a lot of context for the Pantheon which you wouldn’t have known from just visiting the place. Highly recommended!

He is an amazing wealth of knowledge about the experience in the pantheon. Of all the time periods and the transformations of use.
Second, just as biggest bonus, what’s the tour of the church afterwords I know nothing about Art and paintings but what he showed us that nobody ever knows blew us away. He is also well-versed in architecture and construction of the ancient buildings and churches.

It was fairly short, less than 2 hrs, but our guide Claudia was engaging, entertaining and full of great knowledge to share! A few of our small group had mobility issues and she patiently waited for them.

The company tourist group called me the day before the tour and asked if I could change from 1030am to 4pm. I agreed and they told me they would send confirmation via email and not to attend at 1030. I never received an email for the new time of 4pm. At about that time I checked the site and went to message the tour person. That is when I saw a message in what's app (an app i never use) that was my confirmation of the new time. Obviously it was too late to go and I lost the amount of money I paid for 2 people for this tour which we were really excited about. The tour company was very unhelpful. NEVER change your original tour time unless you get an email from Viator. Horrible experience.

We had a fantastic experience. It was super nice to have such a small group with the tour. I could see the other larger tours there and it looked very distracting, not as personal and I doubt the people in that tour learned as much as we did with Claudia. She was amazing. We had an overall enjoyable experience, though with a few mixed feelings. Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and shared some fascinating stories about the history of the Pantheon and its significance. It was definitely great not having to wait in line, which saved us a lot of time.
However, I wouldn't really classify this as a “walking tour.” The walk from where we met the guide to the Pantheon was quite short, so if you’re expecting a long stroll around Rome, this might not be what you're looking for. While the guide was informative, it felt more like a brief introduction rather than a full walking tour.
That said, if you're mainly interested in skipping the line and getting a good historical overview of the Pantheon, this tour does the job. Looking back, we think we could have just bought the Skip the Line tickets on our own and visited the Pantheon independently, which might have been a simpler option.
One recommendation: after visiting the Pantheon, head over to Osteria da Fortunata Pantheon for some delicious, fresh pasta.
Overall, the tour was fine, but it didn't quite live up to our expectations as a full walking tour.

Booked separately from my friend and both of our booking times were changed even though we had booked months ahead. She eneded up having to cancel hers because it was too far after our original time and we had tickets to the Pantheon we would have missed had she kept it. Very disappointed to have to split up and that she missed it completely. Emailing 3 days before the event when you are on vacation not paying attention to emails and have other plans is not okay. All that being said, my guide was great. You should be able to link reservations so that if anything happens, you are at least moved together.

We adored Theresa’s wit, evoking our Italian-born grandparents—traditional, no-nonsense, and delightfully funny. Her deep knowledge of Barbaretti and Bernini history enriched the tour. While the experience focused on the Pantheon’s surrounding history, we explored its interior alone. Our only critique: Theresa’s guidance inside would have perfected the tour. Still, she’s a brilliant guide, and the experience was unforgettable!

The tour starts in Piazza Navona, but they don’t talk about the piazza at all. Instead, we took a really strange route through Campo di Fiori around to the backside of the Pantheon. The info shared along the way was incomplete and didn’t tell a compelling story. Then we sat behind the Pantheon and the guide spoke for way too long, before she ended the tour and we all went into the Pantheon on our own. Why didn’t the tour go inside the Pantheon? It was so strange

KATARINA was the absolute BEST tour guide to prepare us for visiting the Pantheon. We walked through the cobblestone streets and she gave us a history lesson on the foundation of Rome. Incredible tour of the critical points around the Pantheon, to learn about the ancient temples, Caesar’s execution site, etc. Then loved not having to wait to get inside! Being the day of Pentecost with non-stop people inside, we saw what we wanted to experience inside - and thought this tour was the best!! We found it to be perfect.

Quick walk where the guide almost lost the people in the group multiple times, made comments suggesting she wasn’t a fan of the Catholic Church and a comment apologizing for the tour saying they needed to make a profit. Wouldn’t recommend, you’re better off getting your tickets at the door and saving some money.

Missed my group and showed up late but was able to be provided our tickets. Was unable to skip the line but it took only 5-10 minutes. The pantheon is one of the best in Rome so would recommend, however you can get tickets at the door for 5-10$ and not spend ~$50 on the tour. Line is long but deceiving
