Just Fantastic! Fulvia our guide was amazing and very kind. Everything happened as planned and the experience was smooth.
Michelle_L, Apr 2026
Tour guide was great but when we arrived, everything was different. Our name was not on the list. The tour did not include St. Peter’s which we paid for and was expecting to do. The tour through the museum is very long.
Wendy_F, Apr 2026
Very crowded and we paid for Skip the line tickets for the Basilica and we were not given them because something was going on. We couldn’t even get the tickets for later after they opened up the Basilica and we paid extra for this and we did not get a refund.

Hello
The tour guide for this tour was rude and rushed. We did not make it to St. Peter's. He instructed us to do Sistine Chapel on our own. Others were calling on him
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Customer,
The voucher issued clearly specifies that, on days when religious services are held inside St. Peter's Basilica, the church may be closed. This circumstance is beyond the control of either the tour operator or the guide.
Furthermore, this eventuality was communicated to you in the reminder sent before the tour.
We would like to point out that all tickets and admission costs are covered by us; however, any closure decisions by the Vatican are completely beyond our control.
We remain available for any further clarification.
thanks

it is 3 hours long. the information by the guide was very detailed. you walk through the museum very slowly,it is extremely crowded with tours. not the best for young kids. FYI you cannot take pictures in the Sistine Chapel, we knew this but it was a disappointment to many around us, the perks of being on tour was that you skip the lines! we had only one mishap by the guide, she had no internet, so she could not download the qr codes for us to get into the Basilica...but after a few minutes, with calls to her office we got through. and skipped having to go outside to get into the Cathedral...that is a huge perk. once in the Cathedral, you are on your own..
not part of tour but recommend going up the dome.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the visit great! 3 hours visit is definitely not enough. Will have to come back
Sarah_C, Mar 2026
Obviously we were blown away by all of the museums, the Chapel and the Basilica but we were so grateful for Valeria’s knowledge, good humor and organized tour. Highly recommend.
Jason_W, Mar 2026
Tour guide did not show up, no prior communication. Didn’t answer calls from us or Viator. Very disappointed. Viator said they couldn’t do anything as they were only a facilitator. Extremely poor service
John_B, Jan 2026
Good value for money. Guide was very knowledgeable of sculpture, Greek and Roman art and tapestry. Sistine chapel is a must see. We were on our own in St. Peter’s and a guide would be nice. Check the tour information carefully.
Jillian_G, Jan 2026
Overall a fairly okay tour. The guide talked way too much and we stood outside in the cold for almost an hour while she flipped through a picture book. It was so crowded that you needed to keep moving.
Aryan_S, Nov 2025
Good tour. Except that they lost track of my parents for a while and they had to make their way out on their own. Otherwise very good and informative.
Natalie_S, Oct 2025
Very badly organised. The person who we met up with was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. She printed 3 tickets and then shouted at me when my ticket was sent to my phone as she was walking with us which she didn’t communicate to me. We also had to explain to the guards why our tour was change which was a huge inconvenience. Not impressed.
Janice_P, Oct 2025
The actual activity was good and the guide was very knowledgeable - however the service provider Rome Way was not good.
We were told on the 25th hour that they couldn’t accommodate us for our entire tour package (we had already paid) we were only given an early morning slot for the same day and once we confirmed that only then they told us we can’t do the St Peter’s basilica. When we met up with the person on the tour day she was dismissive and not friendly we also all had to stand infront of the guards to explain our situation and she became abrasive towards one of my friends. Not friendly and poor communication - not very attractive for a tour operator
Pablo_P, Oct 2025
The Vatican Museum is a must see. This is a good option for a tour. Very enjoyable and a good value.
William_B, Oct 2025
Make sure to get a guide that speaks your language clearly! Our guide spoke broken English, very fast pace, and soft spoken. It was very hard to understand anything she was saying, except for follow me. We had to listen to other English speaking tours around us to get the details we needed.
Also, the hearing aid and microphone combo was poor, lots of static due to guide rubbing her microphone against her shirt or lanyard.
The guide was very nice, energetic, and knowledgeable. However, had a hard time relaying her knowledge due to communication breakdown.
The sites were remarkable, and the ambiance was great.
Go early in the morning to avoid bigger crowds and cooler temps.
Stan_G, Oct 2025
Very crowded venue. The pace can be hectic when considering the competition with other visitors to see what you want to see. Get the earliest tour possible, make sure you have everything you need. Check in advance regarding holidays or other reasons that parts of the tour may be shortened due to closures. We couldn't get into St. Peter's Basilica. It was also not clear how to enter St. Peter's square and we missed that.
erin_e, Oct 2025
Our guide was hard to hear. She focused on one area way to long. Half way into our guide half of our group didn't have ear pieces in. Because she focused on areas to long we didn't have time to see other things. When she was explaining the Sistine Chaple board only one person was up there. Disappointing.
Elizabeth_D, Oct 2025
Lovely smart tour guide Martha and Silvia. They are super informed with great stories of the sistine chapel , the artists, and museum collections.
William_M, Oct 2025
Although you may think this is a guided tour of St. Peter's, it's not even a skip the line entry to the basilica. We understood this tour would allow us to go directly from the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter's with a guided tour. When we finished the Sistine Chapel, the guide basically said we are on our own. We had to get back in the long line to enter St. Peter's. Our tour was in English. The guide was hard to understand at times. While touring the Sistine Chapel our guide continously snaked through the packed crowd. We spent most of the time trying to follow her flag so that we didn't get separated.
Cheryl_H, Oct 2025
Well the day we went was awful. Never met up with guide and I called the guide several times and no one answered. So unfortunately never went on the tour. I will be contacting the company for a refund
Maria_R, Oct 2025
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and wonderful and explained everything in detail. It was a great experience that we will never forget.
Geraldine_D, Sep 2025
Firstly our tour originally for 8.45 was cancelled by the operator and rescheduled for 14.00. The guide didnt show till 14.30. Then we entered the vatucan museum, where we were taken about but the guide was prone to rambling quite a bit and sometimes hard go understand. Half way through the tour one of our group was missing, she it turned out was recently diagnosed with dementia and had wandered off, the tour continued without her, we were left in the stiffling heat of the sistine chapel without the guide for 30 minutes while the guide went to organise a search for the woman thankfully we heard at the end of the tour that she had been found safe.

Too good to be true, the beauty and talent is unbelievable. The feeling you get when you view it for the first time is breathtaking.
Luciano_B, Sep 2025
Our tour started late; we were escorted to the Vatican museum where we waited over an hour for the tour to begin. No explanation was given for the delay and the person who brought us to the museum inexplicably left the tour. We finally had a replacement arrive- she was very regimented and knowledgeable. She got us through the tour albeit feeling rushed. That was not her fault so the poor rating is not reflective of her efforts. Whoever was initially charged with putting this tour together is the person who should be held responsible for this shambles of a tour
Response from Host, Sep 2025
HELLO,
We sincerely apologize for this delay.
You have the right to be upset and offended, but the main loser is the operator, whom you blame.
Unfortunately, the cause of this delay is the same person you have evaluated as organized, informed and knowledgeable. Please do not misjudge and prejudice. Everyone should know that they should respect other people's time. but...the money is more important ......
The operator has great respect for customers' time. The operator has spent a lot of money to organize this tour. The operator has prepared Vatican tickets and has separately purchased the entrance ticket to St. Peter's Basilica for this tour. Only for the satisfaction of their customers because their satisfaction makes the operator happy and continues to work in the future.
Contrary to your imagination, the main culprit for the chaos and late start of your tour and the waste of money and expenses of the relevant tour operator is the same person who is aware and organized in your opinion.
In order to get more money, She had gone to another place without conscience and irresponsibility towards the commitment She had previously given and was busy wooing others like you And she had faced the operator and the Tour Leader Supplier with a big problem and challenge.
Unfortunately, she ruined all the money and effort we put into having a great and organized tour.
We wanted everything to go well and perfectly, but unfortunately it didn't. We are truly sorry.
Matthew_M, Sep 2025
The tour group no showed our booking, and we only found out because they messaged someone else in our group, otherwise we would not have known. I’ll never use them again
Melinda_H, Sep 2025
Our guide was beyond pleasant and so knowledgeable!! She navigated our small group throughout with precision and we got the most out of this adventure!!
Lena_F, Sep 2025
Anna was a lovely guide to go through the Vatican with. She was knowledgeable about how to view each wonderful piece of art, and pointed out as many as she could. I especially loved the map room, I hadn't seen that before. We really enjoyed her easy going nature in a very crowded time, due to it being the jubilee! She got us through the crowds and grabbed special moments to answer questions along the way.
Thank for a great tour Anna!

Truly a disappointing tour. I am never one to complain, let alone write reviews about it, but those looking to spend their time and money on this tour should be warned. We originally had our tour scheduled at 8:45am to see the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, last minute, they switched the tour to 11:45am. We arrived and the group organizer couldn’t locate the tour guide. The tour guide (Chiara) came late so we didn’t start until around 12. She introduced herself and said “if you get lost, my name is Chiara.” Cool. She continuously walked ahead of the group, talking even though we couldn’t hear her. Once we got to the Vatican, we got our headphones to hear her better. She was monotone, seemed disinterested, rushed us through most of the interesting parts of the museum, and dwelled on very unimportant details. She spoke mostly broken English and it seemed like this tour company had to find someone last minute. Throughout the entire tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel - two of the most historic places to visit on earth - I learned nothing. The entire group I was with (approx 17 people) all were talking the entire tour about how terrible our guide was. Once we finished the Sistine Chapel, we all assumed we were going to the Basilica (since, you know, we each paid over $100+ for tickets to this tour) but were told that it closed to the public after 1pm today so we couldn’t go. That’s WHY we booked the 8:45am tour so we would be able to go see all three? Anyway, someone at Your Way Tours, please fix this for future tours. I think you will be getting a few negative reviews from today and many of us are hoping to get a partial refund for not being able to see the Basilica due to the tour being delayed 3 hours.
Samina_B, Sep 2025
We paid for a tour that included a visit to St Peter’s Bascillica on the £60 x 2 tickets.
The Bascillica tour was dropped by the operator on the day and the guide left the group to join the public queue that was a thousand people deep.
We ended up paying another 28 euros x 2 to another company to get us in.
We were missold and misled and we won’t be recommending the tour company concerned. Can Viator compensate us for the tour company’s mistakes?
Kathy_W, Sep 2025
It was lovely to tour the three sites. But the tour operator was very disorganised at the meeting point as well as in the museum entry. PDF tickets did not work on the entry scanners.
