The rating was difficult because the people who ran this tour were amazing.!! We booked this the night before at 7pm so extremely short notice, they were able to get us a driver for the tour, which was awesome. Gilia beach club was okay, not much of a “beach club” at all, it is just a beach with chairs and then you do have access to a pool. Bar is small and limited, restaurant (for the minimal choices of food included was a buffet that was sitting out all day with very slim options) we were not allowed to order off menu for the included food. Breakfast is not included, like it says on the description; you do get coffee and a small croissant. Which is okay, but when we saw breakfast included we thought it was a meal not only a coffee. Also the tour description is to go to the beach club as well as two hours exploring another city- that was not included. We went straight to the beach club very early at 930am had a coffee, sat in the chairs at the beach, had lunch buffet included, no alcohol; they did have bar which you can pay extra for. We then got picked up and retuned to Rome. All in all; the beach was beautiful, beach club was not really anything exciting, food not good, drinks extra cost. The man who ran this tour was very friendly, contacted us right away, did everything in his power to get us to the beach, responsive and polite. However it would have been way more reasonable price for us to just taxi to the beach from Rome. Tour did not accurately describe what was offered. I would recommend other tours with this tour guide who I was in contact with but not for this specific day; way too expensive for a taxi ride.

We had a wonderful day at the beach. Our driver was helpful, kind, and informative. This was a perfect “historic heat wave” excursion. I understand why Italians spend their summers at the beach!
