Fantastic experience!!!! I booked this the day before and it may now be the highlight of my trip! You will probably spend the same amount of money in a restaurant so you might as well book this instead and have so much more fun. Lis provided an excellent and informative tasting experience and Sid had high energy and made the pasta lesson so much fun!

A wonderful experience. Made a lot of friends with our fellow travelers and staff. Carlo & Nina were fantastic guides and teachers. The food we made turned out delicious. They even toasted to my partner & I’s recent engagement! Be prepared to drink 6+ cups of wine/prossecco for hours. It’s how the ancient Romans would’ve wanted it <3

Loved this event! We met fun loving people from around the world, and learned about and tasted true authenic Italian prosecco, olive oil, pestos, balsamic vinegar, parmigiano reggiano, and truffles. Everyone had a great time with endless prosecco and lots of laughter. Plus, we actually made and ate our own spinach and ricotta ravioli, fettuccine, and tiramisu. Delish! I highly recommend this outing. It was our favorite Rome activity.

This tour/cooking class was excellent and well worth the price. We did this as a family of 6 and we were able participate in the full food making experience and ate everything after. Thank you to all of the staff for giving our family an awesome experience!

Amazing experience and great surprise with the tasting session. The staff were so helpful, courteous and friendly. I would book this again over visiting the Vatican and coliseum, which are so busy with queues. This experience was well worth the money and a true tasted of Italian hospitality and culture. Superb!

Highlight of Our Italy - Trip Three Generations, One Pasta Table

    Kimberly_P, Feb 2026
This is a MUST do with this tour company! We did this pasta-making experience as a group of six — my two daughters and their grandmothers — with ages ranging from 9 to 75. It was absolutely phenomenal and very possibly the highlight of our entire Italy trip. At the first stop, Liis (forgive me if I’m misspelling her name!) was incredible. Her love of food truly shines through in the way she teaches and tells the story behind each ingredient. She’s knowledgeable, engaging, and makes you feel completely immersed in the culture. We learned so much and had such a fun time doing it. The pasta-making portion was equally wonderful. It was hands-on and genuinely engaging — everyone participated, regardless of age. Watching all three generations roll up their sleeves and work together was such a special experience. And of course, sitting down to eat the pasta we made ourselves was a huge highlight — especially for the kids, who were so proud (and rightly so!). I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Italy — families, couples, friends — it’s meaningful, delicious, and unforgettable.

Our chef in the first part was funny and such a joy! She was knowledgeable and very entertaining. The second part was a short walk, with the second chef helpful and charming. We had so much fun, making our pasta and tiramisu. It was delicious!

Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Lots of knowledge about the produce, the food was delicious and the wine and prosecco was free flowing. I went alone and I met lovely people and felt very welcome from the hosts - thank you :)

    A Rome Highlight!

    Maria_A, Dec 2025
This was a highlight of our Rome trip! The class we attended included a tasting of local specialities and wine followed by an upbeat, fun cooking class where we learned the fundamentals of making fresh pasta and tiramisu. This class was worth every penny. I highly recommend making time for it during your trip!

    Must do food tour!!!

    Lisa_G, Dec 2025
Excellent experience from start to finish. The tour was approximately four hours long. It started at a beautiful shop where we had many appetizers and learned about Italian cuisine and traditions. We were then led to a wonderful restaurant and then made tiramisu, fettuccine, and ravioli. The whole one time we had our fill of Prosecco and red and white wine. Our first guide was Lise who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different types of foods of different regions. She let us to Patrick at the restaurant who was our guide to cooking. The whole experience was magnificent.

Fantastic experience. Great value for price. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic value for the price. Excellent explanations. Just the right amount of participants in the group to encourage exchanges and laughter. First step was tasty food and wine pairing experience at "La Nicchia" followed by preparing and enjoying our very own homemade pasta and tiramisù (with more wine!) right around the corner at "Il segreto". All staff at both locations were amazing. We very much appreciated that we were not rushed to complete the experience within the alloted schedule: those extra minutes were perfect to savour and enjoy the full afternoon without pressure. Cleanliness 10/10 I would definitely recommend this experience.

Lots of fun and great value! Food tasted amazing :) Had food tasting at the start then made fettuccine and ravioli plus the tiramisu.

BOOK this activity!!! You won’t regret it!!!!

For the price, this is the best experience you can get! Absolutely wonderful!!! My family had the BEST time! Our family vacation, including mid-20’s ‘kids’. We all had so much fun and bonded over the 3+ hours we spent together. Absolutely wonderful tour at 2 separate locations. This is the best value you will find! We were all stuffed when we left and didn’t need dinner. This activity actually cost less than our typical dinner in Rome! We each drank at least 1 bottle of wine each! They mean it when they say ‘unlimited wine’. Both instructors were funny and knowledgeable..everyone was successful at making the pasta! Book this tour/activity!

    Pasta cooking class

    Clare_H, Nov 2025
This cooking class was the best experience ever! Firstly, we learnt about Italian food products and had a wonderful tasting experience. Nina was really informative and delightful. Then we went to the restaurant and learnt how to make pasta and Tiramisu with Patrick. It was so enjoyable. We would thoroughly recommend it!

A hidden gem of cooking classes

    Paul_F, Nov 2025
This was an amazing experience and half the price as others located in the center of town. Take the Metro, go one stop beyond Vatican, and prepare for an amazing experience.

    Wow! What fun!

    Best part of our trip!

    Katricia_Z, Nov 2025
There is a reason this experience has 5 stars! The tasters to start were incredible! The history given by our host was so fun and interesting. We learned so much about the history of Italian food while enjoying good food and company! The walk to the restaurant was nice after all the prosecco we had. Really impressed by the attention to detail given that I was with someone that was hearing impaired was great. They made sure she was catered to but not more than others. There were others in our group with food restriction that received the same attention. Our host Lees (spelling) was without compare. Our drinks were always topped off. Her story telling was incredible and the time flew by. Our Chef Patrick was so good at teaching us how to make our pasta and tiramisu. He was funny and knowledgeable and made us feel like we were not as inexperienced as we were. He gave help where needed and made our group of 16 feel like a family together even though we did not know each other at the start. Don’t go anywhere else! This is going to be the highlight of your trip!

All day activity for friends and family!

    Elle_T, Nov 2025
The pasta class was a great experience! We started with a nice tasting of different Italian products and prosecco and the pasta class was a hit! The wine was flowing and we had fun making the tiramisu as well! The only downside is that it lasted well over 3 hours, closer to 4-5. This kind of took our whole day up when we just wanted an afternoon activity. So if you have multiple days in Rome I'd recommend but if not than I'd say explore the city! Really friendly people and a fun class overall, but 5 stars if it was shorter!

    Yum Yum Yum!

    Sierra_D, Nov 2025
The location was very easy to find and well marked! Lize and Jan were amazing! Both of them were very kind, insightful, and hands on with our group. My husband and I enjoyed this experience so much it was one of the highlights of our trip here in Rome. From learning about different Italian delicacies (truffle, aged balsamic, parmigiano reggiano, etc), to learning how to make incredible pasta. We enjoyed our experience from start to finish. We walked away feeling like we just had Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you so much to everyone at the Roman Food Tour, we would definitely do this again and we will definitely be attempting to make this pasta at home. Grazie Mille!

    Must do!

    Jessica_P, Oct 2025
Absolutely brilliant experience! It was such good value for money, we had a great tasting session at the start and then the cooking lesson - you don't normally get both things included in an experience like this. The staff were brilliant and we learnt a lot as well as having great fun!

Learning and playing while on vacation

    Carolyn_S, Oct 2025
The tour was loads of fun. By the time the evening was over we had eight, brand, new friends. We were shown how to make pasta, ravioli, and tiramisu. Then we were able to make it ourselves! I think with a little practice we will seriously be able to make good pasta without taking too long, and make a good tiramisu as well. We loved every minute of it. The tour guides were interesting, extremely informative, and willing to share their very delicious wine. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
