Unfortunately, our tour guide was an old lady with a low voice that you could barely understand. Also her most concern was to pass fast around other groups as it was crowded and she did not stay too much in one place to offer some good info to our group.
That is why some members of the group even left on their own mid tour.
After the Colloseum tour we were given 5-8 minutes to stay around souvenir shop and to meet her afterwards at the exit in order to go the Forum and Palatine tours. As we were 5 mins too late at the meeting place she has already been left so we only had half of the guided tour.
In conclusion, it is not worth to pay the fee unless you are guaranteed a certified good guide.

The massive structure and architectural style when most things were done manually.
Seeing the arena also brought to life the things that happened there in the past as captured in some books.

Cancelled tour the day before event. Paid $200 for tour, seller provided us with tickets worth $35. No guide. No VIP access, No gladiators gate and not on the floor.
Seller stated they would refund us ( I have the WhatsApp conversations) however Viator have said the tour operator provided the tour and would only offer 20% refund.
The tour operator is a fraudster. The details are being passed to my bank if Viator cannot provide me with the refund I will be raising a fraudulent payment claim to my back to forcibly reclaim my money from this scammer.

The tour started two hours later than scheduled. A very expensive tour with a lot of people. The guide was sleepy and we left a 3 hour tour after half an hour.

Paid for the Gladiator tour, it’s a sham.
What you basically get is a standard tour and then they try to tell you it’s not their responsibility and that it’s a miscommunication.
You’ll spend more time arguing with the sales agents who try to say it’s a technical error and they don’t want to correct the problem
Do not book this tour !! Extremely poor service from both the company and the booking agents

The description stated that it would be a 3 hour long tour with a tour of Colosseum with the arena and gladiators den with a tour of Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. Our guide took us to the second floor of the Colosseum then left us there and walked us through the entrance of the Roman forum and ended the tour there. The guide stated that he thought he was only doing a short tour and that we got scammed by this website.

No ticket , we have to follow the person. They refuse to give our ticket, when the tour the coliseum was done . We were force to get out. They told us that we won’t have a guide for the arena and the rest also no ticket for the arena .

Even though you pay for the guided tour through Colosseum plus Forum Romanum and the Palatin Hill, the guide made just a very brief tour through Colosseum (very very brief just about 15 minutes of commented work) than he left us alone having said that we should walk it through by ourselves. We had 30 minutes for the next meeting at the exit of Colosseum and the guide should have continued with a commented tour through Forum Romanum. THE GUIDE DIDN'T APPEAR AGAIN. We literally lost half of the paid service.

If there is a negative star i will give to this tour company. We booked this tour on 4/7/23, even though the whole Rome seemed to understand the colosseum was closed due to special event for Easter and Pope. However, both the sham tour company and viator listed it as available for 4/7 at 4pm.
When we try to call them asking for explanation, they just lied said they sent us notification and try to move it to the next day. When we told them we already have plans the next day, they just flat out hung up on us. Further calls could not be connected.
I am trying to get my refund from viator at least. They told us they have to get approval from the local tour company??!! Viator is a US san fran company, how can we trust viator's quality control to book a sham local tour company?

We are very disappointed with this tour. Our tour guide Andrea was fantastic, but that's it. Our tour in the title says we get to enter the gladiators gate and arena. That didn't happen. We were put in an express tour. We were suppose to get a guided tour of the forum and Palentine hill. We got no tour , missed out on seeing all of that. Abs we paid a lot of money for just the colosseum. Very disappointed, we deserve a partial refund. Let's see if Viator makes this right

The site showed 2 timings with this operator: 2.30 and 5pm so we booked the 5pm one. We got a message and a call same day in the morning saying we have to meet them at the location at 2.20pm, thats when we called them to confirm the time. They said there has been a mistake from their side and they can offer us 4pm slot which we took. But they showed us only the Colloseum untill 5pm as the other two places Roman Forum and Paletine hills was closed for the day. When called they reluctantly offered us a refund amount and upon chasing for a day they gave us a refund of half the amount that had been decided. Safwen was the guy who duped us. Worst experience.

Good tour, started on time, no wait line and entered through special access gate. We were happy that the group size was only 10 people. Tour guide was very informative about the Colosseum. After we finished with the colosseum, our guide walked the group into the Roman Forum/Palatine Hill. However, most of the group wanted to go off on their own, so the tour ended at that point. I was perfectly okay with the tour ending early because my legs had hit their limit for the day (I have Parkinson's).
It was hard to find the meet-up spot, but they called my cell phone and we found them. The tour started kinda weird, with us standing in a walk way for almost 30 minutes as the guide talked; we were in the way of people/groups entering the colosseum and couldn't see inside. Literally, 100+ people walked past us.

Three hours tour only had the guide for one and half hour. It is supposed to include the guided tour for forum but no guide and no tour. The guide said we can provide email and get the ticket to the forum tomorrow. But I didn’t receive the ticket. The 2:30pm tour started after 2:40pm. And it ended at 4:10 since the Colosseum is closing. If they know it will close around 4, why did they still say 2:30pm ticket? This is the worst Viator tour I have had so far. I sent complaint and nobody replied.

An amazing experience being able to visit the Colosseum and walk around the arena. Our tour guide George was very informative and explained everything with great detail. Only negative I have is that he spent an hour talking in the cold, which resulted in people in the tour walking away and exploring themselves.

The tour started at 5pm and said it would be 2 hours but the colosseum closes at 6pm. So it did feel rushed and the tour information in all prolly only lasted 45 mins. Which the information provided was good. I wished they told ppl that if you get a 5 pm tour that it would be a limited tour because of time. Based on the tour I thought we would have access to a specific area where the gladiators emerged from.

The tour I signed up for was to allow participants to enter the arena floor and get a tour of the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum in addition to the general Colosseum tour. When I arrived at the meeting point, a representative brought me to another tour guide who could not accommodate me. The representarive then pawned me off to another tour guide, Giovanna. Although Giovanna was friendly and enthusiastic, she only provided a tour of the Colosseum and not the arena or the Palatine Hill or Roman Forum (as outlined in the activity's description). The description of this activity is highly misleading and inaccurate and costed me more than it should have. I had to be my own tour guide on the Palatine HIll and Roman Forum and was very envious of those I saw who actually had a guide in these areas. Please save yourself the hassle and avoid signing up for this activity unless you're only looking for a tour of the Colosseum. I'm sure the tour company will try to claim that I did not read the description carefully and try to update it after this review, however I have saved screenshots of everything.

Horrible. Where do I start. See my photo for what the tour was supposed to include. We were never able to see the Roman Forum or Palantine Hill because when we arrived 1 1/2 hour early we were told that we had to wait where we were for the Colosseum tour. We asked about the other places and were told that we could go on our own if we wanted but that we didn't have time then. When we asked about the fact that the tour description stated that we would have a guided tour that included those places we did not get any response. So, after waiting (where we were told to) for some time we were then told to go to a different place. So we went there and waited. After some more time, another person told us that we needed to be in another different location and did actually give us a name and description of who we were to meet. With some work, we did find both the location and the woman. The young lady (that we were told to meet) acted as though she had no idea what we were talking about and was incredibly rude. She did finally make a call to the gentleman who had sent us in her direction and included us in a group for a tour. Every person that we came in contact with was terribly rude and did not want to be bothered with actually helping us. Our 5:30 tour finally started at 6:00. While our guide was no where near as nasty as the others, she was not exactly pleasant. We practically ran through our so called tour and were then rushed out of the Colosseum. We never got to see Palantine Hill or the Roman Forum. Horrible. Once I get home I will be attempting to get my nearly $300 refunded. We never truly got what we paid for. In all my years of traveling, all of the tours, excursions, etc. Not once have I ever had an experience like this.

Le prestataire sur place ne nous a fait que la visite simple, dont le tarif était beaucoup plus bas, et nous a indiqué de nous retourner contre Viator pour obtenir le remboursement des visites manquantes.
