Cheaper to go to Ticket office on site

Andrew_B, Apr 2026
When I booked I thought I was getting a guided Tour , but all I got was Tickets when I met the guide , which turned out to be more expensive than if I had bought them at the Ticket office ,

Good pick!

Carrie_R, May 2025
Good pick if you want to walk around on your own while getting good information from the audio guide. The super pass is a must!

Self Tour

Lisa_H, Oct 2024
While the Forum is an amazing part of Rome’s history I would opt to do a guided tour next time instead of a self guided tour. This one came with an audio version that was out of order. We had no idea where to start and didn’t realize at first that we were listening to one thing while looking at another a simple map would have helped.

Major disappointment

Debbie_P, Sep 2024
Ticket location pick up was not at the entrance to the forum, but up by the coliseum. 300m away. RIDICULOUS We had a 3:00 tour and did not get our tickets until 4:30 when we were able to get WiFi! Unbelievable Needless to say we never got to take the tour! A waste of money. Just get in line and do your own thing. Skip Viator for this one! Not even worth the money. I would give this a zero star if I could

Response from Host, Sep 2024

They came 40 minutes late, We sent the ticket but they were not interested and went away not listening any thing from us. They were 40 minutes late and they were very angry and impatience . We have all kinds of prove with us. Sorry , We can not accept 40 minutes late , Yet we wanted to help them, But they showed their immaturity. We are very Disappointed to get this kind of people. They told about the location not checking the voucher. (meeting point is written in your Voucher) When they came (40 Minutes Late )We sent the ticket to them, It takes a moment to upload in a very crowed place. They were impatience (Although they were late) Sorry we are not interested to talk about against this kind of poor minded people .

A must do day, I hope you are fortunate enough to get our guide

Christopher_K, Sep 2024
The whole day was wonderful, but brought alive by a brilliant guide who made the experience come to life, explained the history with humour, knowledge and skill. We cannot thank her enough for making our day so memorable.

Confusing and difficult

Patricia_L, Jul 2024
Wondered around amlessly trying to find entry point and/or contact per instructions. Finally after asking 4 persons we came in contact with a person who validaded the ticket and told us we had to enter the Collisium in order for us to enter The Roman Forum. (We've already had a tour of the Collisum years ago and were looking forward to spending all our time at the Roman Forum and Pallintin Hills) We had to ask information at the Collisium how to get entry to The Forum and then proceed to the next ticket booth. It was very hot that day, and took us hours to finally arrive at the Forum. Very confusing and time consuming. Would not recommend.

Response from Host, Jul 2024

Many companies are working over here, the meeting point is almost same place. If you do not find make phone call, You have to follow the instruction so that you can visit spontaneously. Thank you

Even though we were late,...

Anna_V, Dec 2023
Even though we were late, the guys found an option to let us inside the Forum. Everything was fine but really, it’s better to come at least 15 mins in advance

Response from Host, Dec 2023

Anna , thank you so much for your review. We are happy to give you our best service .

Waste of time.

John_C, Sep 2023
It was supposed to be "Skip The Line" but it took an hour finding the agents and then being passed from agent to agent 4 times and waiting for them. So what was the point? We might as well have joined the queue.

Response from Host, Sep 2023

Thank you for the review , Yes Indeed, Its skip the line but there is a security checking line a couple of moment like airport .Everybody has to follow it. It is not a ticket line. Already, our team observed your review, Our staffs always want to connect with the clients. On that day, One of our staffs made phone call many times to find the location. (the meeting point), He couldn't reach you. When he found you, he told you to take the service from the another staff. It is not the agent. They are our staff. Everyday many clients are visiting over here and taking our service .We would like to give you our best service to make you happy. Thank you so much.

Terrible and rude

Lisa_R, Sep 2023
What a horrible experience. Rude, rude, rude guy who got us in. We were supposed to be there at 2pm... confirmed by tour company. At 1:40 got nasty phone call asking where we were. Gave crap directions and didn't even hold up small sign at location to meet. Made us (most people over 70) sprint to front of line. Would never, never use TravelR tour group again!

Response from Host, Sep 2023

Thank you for the review, TravelR is a small company but broad minded didn't learn any rude behaviors . Every tour company has rules and regulation as well. well, As far as I know, you were supposed to come at 2,pm that you booked, but you didn't come on that time. you came after the tour time that is unexpected for a tour company because there is time slot. You should have come 20 minutes before your booking time that's written. For example, If your flight is 2pm , when will be there, after 2pm or before 2pm. However, Our staff made a phone call to come early, finally you came late and you were busy to buy something instead of not going entrance .Everyday many people are visiting over here, you are the 1st person who blamed this way. you know, the big company doesn't accept this situation. we respect all kinds of people as well. However, thanks a lot who are visiting everyday over here with travel R, We do believe they are satisfy. The team of TravelR are trying to do the best service for the clients . who wants to visit ,welcome and see by your own eyes. Thank you so much

Forum Romanum on short notice

Jan_D, Aug 2023
I needed a ticket on short notice for the same afternoon, and wasn't able to buy it anywhere else online. TravelR had some tickets prebooked and available for a reasonable markup. Handover went smoothly, they got in contact via WhatsApp.

Response from Host, Sep 2023

Thank you for your review, We would like to give the best service for our clients. Thank you so much indeed.

Skip the line access is a must!!

Jennifer_W, Aug 2023
Skip the line access is a must if you are visiting the Roman forum and Palatine Hill! We couldn’t locate the meeting point and Raju went out of his way to find us and brought us directly to the entrance!

Response from Host, Sep 2023

Thank you Jennifer, We feel proud to give you the best service. Thanks once again.
