We had a private tour guide, Tommy, he has stacks of advanced degrees in Art and history. He was attentive, passionate and very knowledgeable, we highly recommend this tour, it's super interesting and impressive and only takes about an hour

This os the best way to visit. Claudia is as knowledgeable and funny. She contacted us prior to confirm and gave us recommendations for other things to do in Rome. This is exactly what we were looking for. We did not want to have a tour longer than an hour.

Tommy was great! Pantheon was much more interesting than I realized. Tommy did a great job giving some of the more interesting details of the Pantheon. We did this yesterday. Short but interesting. I highly recommend.

Our guide Tommy was more concerned about our American accent and our Astronomical signs and less about giving us the correct historical facts about the Pantheon.. The least professional guide I’ve experienced

Claudia met us as planned and took us on a information filled tour, of this 2000 year old temple. She was rich in the history and clearly and passionately explained the origins, its usages and relevance through the ages.

The Private Tour itself was fine. The guide was knowledgeable. What turned us off was that the Guide took us to the very front of the Skip the Line where there were others who had been waiting. He just butted in and we didn’t know. We were just following his lead. As you can imagine, this almost started WWW III. 😂 One of the angry patron even grabbed my arm cursing and the guide did very little to defend us, let alone explain himself.

Larry, thank you for the honest review on your Private Pantheon tour experience. Sometimes the surrounding variables such as other visitors to the site create havoc as they are not aware of the regulations - not necessarily their fault either as the Pantheon itself has ever evolving logitics. It was just one of those days - in this case the 1st of May (your Private tour date) was a National holiday - people didn't understand where to go, the ticketing system was faulty (luckily we pre-book all our entrance tickets for specific time slots). It is not because random strangers shout that they are right nor because the security at the entrance overstep the line that they are right to do so either. I am sorry that you felt hassled during a moment where your guide was in front of you, a little insensitive perhaps because he too was embarrased, he should have explained - surely too focused on getting you inside. Pleased that you enjoyed the content and your guide's knowledge. All the best.

Thanks John for your feedback, the Private Pantheon tours are advertised as 1 hour and we keep a very close eye on this (I checked with the guide) - the tour can go a little longer depending on the particular circumstances - but never less than an hour (unless requested). Booking last minute is an option (when possible) but not a reason to cut corners, rest assured - the Private tour means you have the guide all to yourselves for 1 hour; the Private Pantheon tour does effectively cost more than a group tour.
