Standard tickets to Palazzo Altemps cost €8 and can be purchased online or on-site. You can save money by buying a €15 ticket for entry to all National Roman Museum sites, which is valid for one week following the first visit. Palazzo Altemps also offers free admission on the first Sunday of every month.

Palazzo Altemps is a 15th-century mansion that houses a collection of classical sculptures. The building itself is impressive, with walls adorned by 15th-century frescoes and a central courtyard. Collection highlights include the Ludovisi Throne, a 5th-century BC marble relief depicting the birth of Aphrodite, and the Ludovisi Sarcophagus, featuring exquisitely carved Roman soldiers in battle.

Palazzo Altemps is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 9:30am to 7pm, and is closed on Mondays. The last entry is one hour before closing. The hours for the other National Roman Museum sites are the same; check the website before planning your visit, as some sites may be closed for restoration.
