Overview

Marmore Falls, an artificial waterfall built by the ancient Romans, lies roughly 1.5 hours north of Rome in the Nera River Park (Parco Fluviale del Nera). Avoid the hassle of public transport on this day trip, and hike two of five loop trails leading to various vantage points to view the waterfall. That leaves enough time to stop for coffee, fill up water bottles at Santa Susanna, and take a scenic drive along Lake Piediluco.
  • A day trip to Marmore Falls—the tallest artificial waterfall in the world
  • Stop for caffeine fix at an artisanal coffee shop
  • Hike two loop trails in Nera River Park (Parco Fluviale del Nera)
  • One-way transportation from Rome (return by train at own expense)

Chris is an awesome guide. He showed us all around the area and made accommodations for our skill level. Highly recommend!
