Our guide - Laura - had so much info to share with our group of 22 people. She manouvered us around a very crowded Forum and Colosseum on Saturday and kept us engaged and fascinated. Highly recommend!

We were lucky enough to end up on our tour alone with our guide, so we felt very special having a private tour! Cecelia, our guide was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, and was a brilliant guide. She knew where to enter the Forum so that we avoided a long queue, and then we spent 3 hours together, which flew past as there was so much to learn, and it was all fascinating. An excellent way to spend the afternoon, can highly recommend . Our thanks to Cecelia.

DO NOT use this tour group. They canceled my tour 20 minutes before the tour start time which denied me the chance for a guided tour of the Coloseum. They promised a refund which I am still trying to get back.

The Roman forum is not to be missed. Many want to go straight to the colosseum. The form is full of history!! Our guide did a wonderful job presenting the importance of this area of Ancient Rome.

We had a good guide that was able to walk us through the coliseum and the Roman form. She was a very knowledgeable and ancient Roman times + how the coliseum and the form were used. She came with lots of graphics to show what Lyft was like back then that really helped my family envision it envision it. We would absolutely recommend this tour to our friends and family.

Our guide was great, but due to challenges and frustration we never got her name. Despite the challenges she gave us a great tour albeit short.
I booked this tour a few months before our travels to Rome. I was unaware that every first Sunday of the month the Coliseum is open for free.
The tour operator notified two days ahead that they could not buy the tickets in advance due to a special event (it was a holiday weekend but this was NOT the reason, free Sundays have been happening for a long time) nothing we’d have to stand in the queue, they never mentioned that the tickets were free and that would be the reason we needed to start early. Our understanding was that ticket office opened at 8:00 and we needed to arrive 30 minutes earlier than we booked, by 8:30 and they hoped to have the tickets by that time. Instead we had to wait in the queue that wrapped all the way around the coliseum in the hot sun where we acquired sunburns. Even if there was a lack of communication we shouldn’t have had to pay for free tickets.
The company refused to refund the 18£ x4 tickets which we paid for and they got for free. I don’t mind paying for the tour guide service despite the challenge. It’s great the city offers this free entrance, this company should NOT be selling the tickets when they are free. The company declined the partial refund and I’ll be following up with my credit card company on our return home.

Dear Joanna, that you for taking time to review the tour. I'm very glad you were pleased with the tour guide, her name is Ivana. I have also let her know that she did a great job despite the difficulties.
I want to add some comments from our side. Like you said, we did get in touch with you prior to the tour (more than 2 days) to explain you the dynamics of the tour on that specific day and offered you also different options.
We agreed with you to meet at 8:00 AM ( and you even suggested to arrive earlier), but in the end you arrived only after 8:30 AM.
This made a huge difference as the line were much shorted at 8:00 than it was at 8:30 (we had another group with another guide starting on time, at 8:00)
Consider, your guide Ivana was there waiting for you already before 8:00. So clearly this made the time being in line much longer.
What comes to a refunding the tickets, it's true we did not pay for them, but instead of having a group of 24 people, as you have booked, you had
a (semi-)private tour. And we also informed you about this in advance. The money we did not use for the tickets, we used to cover the cost of the guide.
Consider, since you arrived 30 minutes later than agreed, we had a onsite staff member who needed to stay longer waiting for you and another person in the office
occupying the communication over the phone.

There are no pictures to share. We missed the tour because of a transportation strike in the city and our efforts to arrive at the tour were thwarted. We tried to use the Hop On Hop Off bus to get there only to be hung up in traffic for hours. Once we were in a position to try a taxi, there were no taxi's available. The tour guide did call to check on us but that was little comfort. The piece de resistance was the fact that when I requested a refund, I was told that I was out of luck. I spent $ 140.00 for nothing.

Worst experience and Actually you can buy tickets directly for a small portion of the ticket if you are early. Do not invest in this tours. Very bad experience from the beginning. Bad organization, I meet at pick up point on time and nobody show up. After a few minutes I contact the office but not solution, no refund

Our onsite staff members arrive to the meeting location 30 minutes before the tour starting time and will stay there till the tour starts or some minutes extra.
I remember you calling after the tour had started and most of the times this means missing out the tour.
I case running late, I recommend, in the future to contact the organisers before the time and not after, to give them a chance to help you out.

Unfortunately we did not do the Colosseum tour as it wasn't until we were there that I read in very very fine print we had to meet at another address to collect the tickets. Because I had the QR codes sent from Viator on my phone I thought they were tickets. Buyer beware. Read the fine print. I lost over $300 AuS. NOT HAPPY

Very knowledgeable guide and his accented English was very understandable. Covered all the advertised locations. Pick up point was hard to find. Lots.of tours leaving the same location. They said under the big line tree. I counted 6 pine trees in the same area.

Dear Shawn, I'm very sorry you had a bad experience with us. Unfortunately we did not have all the full names to all of the participants from your group to reserve the Colosseum tickets for you, and add you to the tour.
Instead of filling out the reservation form with proper information, you decided to write instead of names "Traveller one", "Traveller two", etc
Since 18th of October the Colosseum tickets are name based and the names have to be provided at the moment of reservation. We did try to contact you and get full names of all the people from your group, but you did not respond to us directly, instead of sending the information to Viator and we never received the names on time to add you to the tour..
In the future I recommend you to fill out the reservation forms as requested and not try to be funny or whatever reason you though to write down false information. This situation was easily to be avoid by you.

As well as we gave you different options to provide the tour for all of your group

The Pace was very fast and did not allow much time for photos at the colosseum. we had an infant and stroller with us and we’re instructed to use the elevators which were far, and ended up losing the group because they did not wait for us and did not specify where to meet. We ended up spending 30 minutes looking for them only to leave the tour early. However we would give 5 stars to Paula who helped us manage the kinks with arriving and leaving the tour.
