This company "Prince Kuhio" has been out of business since Oct 2025. Be careful guys. We booked this for our trip and went to the location, but nothing was there.

Arrived for our cruise and no one was there. They're neighbors let us know they have been out of business since October 2025. Viator requested a refund on my behalf, but unlikely I'll get my money back. Thankfully it wasn't much.

Do not book this particular whale watching trip. I called the vendor numerous times with no response. We arrived early but no boat! The boat never showed up. Viator did refund our money.

This trip doesn’t exist anymore. We booked it in December for this February as part of our Hawaiian vacation. Wasted most of a day, plus Uber fees for an empty slip at rage harbor. The company shut down months ago and Viator still charging for tickets.

This is a non existent company no longer in business!! Went to the boat dock and the slip was empty and a dock worker said the company has not been in business for over two months.

Did not see a whale in sight . They kept driving us around in circles by beach . Did not go out far just kept circling in one spot. Never again. Saw a family at dock they just got off a catamaran they saw a lot of whales from the catamaran. Not this cruise. I will just book catamaran next time at least catamaran will take you far out. Not just circles.

The tour was very well organized, and a lot of families joined this tour.
The tour guide told us that the earlier tour saw no whales. We had at least 10-12 whale sightings--exciting! For me the only difficult part of the tour was the choppy water which made the catamaran bob up and down. And not only did we see whales, we also saw dolphins. The 2-hour time limit was just right, and the crew's narration was on point. It was an experience of a lifetime!

The crew was spectacular. They worked really hard to ensure everyone had a great time and even turned back around so that we could see a whale. They were so kind and welcoming, and wonderful with our kids. And the food was incredible! I couldn't say enough great things about this experience and would 12/10 highly recommend.

The chef canceled on the morning of the trip because they were sick. They bought pastries and juice. We were told we’ll receive a partial refund but it’s almost a month later and I have not received anything and none of my emails/calls received a response. I give 2 stars because they tried really hard looking for a whale even after the tour time was up so that was appreciated. But if I paid for a chef prepared breakfast and don’t get it then why am I not being refunded or responded to? Unfortunately from the other reviews it seems quite common that the chef doesn’t show up.

We went in the morning. Unfortunately the whales were not very active during the trip. We did see one at a distance and the captain did his best to locate a pod. Food was good and the crew was very helpful. We met a Texas gal from Ole Miss on the crew. She was a hard working crew member.

My expectations for this experience were to have a decent meal and to see whales. The meal was fantastic. There was a choice between loco moco and French toast. The French toast portions looked kind of meager but the loco moco was both exceptional in taste and also a good portion. We saw a lot of whale action, no breaches but a lot of tails. The ship itself was fine, nothing to write home about but fine. The crew was great.

The captains did not know what they were doing. We could hear on the radio where the whales were at, but it took them so long to get that way, we had to turn around. We seen a couple of blow ups, but it was so far away we couldn’t even see the whale. They called it a successful whale watch, but we disagreed. The only reason it was even a one star rating, was because the breakfast was good

The tour operator canceled the whale watching tour on us the night before because not enough people had signed up for the tour. This did not give us enough time to find another tour for the day we had planned to go whale watching. We had booked at least a month in advance. We were offered a refund or an opportunity to rebook. Another boat operator said that their boats go out no matter what even if they are not at a certain capacity so it felt like it was greedy to cancel due to this. The booking confirmation did not say that this was a possibility. Disappointed.

Through this tour, I was able to go out to sea on a boat and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Honolulu and the ocean in a sunny day.
The tour to see dolphins, turtles, and whales was very impressive.
However, the chef was a no-show, so breakfast was not provided,
and our family had to buy breakfast ourselves at the farmer's market and get on the boat.
The guide mentioned that they would refund part of the meal cost because the breakfast was not provided, but it has been a week and the partial refund has not been made yet.
Please check the partial refund again.

What a great tour. We chose the 9 am with breakfast and the catering by Chef Cater was wonderful. We had a sighting right off the bat and again upon returning to port. We got the history and activity of whale season. The knowledge of the crew was incredible and we even saw a breach at the last minute. We were extremely lucky. Even without the sightings, the boat ride out to Diamond Head and overlooking Waikiki was a wonderful experience with dolphins and surfers alike.

Great service. Staff very attentive. Food was tasty and something I had never tasted before. We saw at least a dozen whales (or just one 12 times) including a mother and her baby. Fantastic view of Diamond Head. A misty rain for a while but that resulted in a beautiful rainbow.

Our activity did have a wrinkle and we await a response from our tour operator. The gourmet breakfast prepared by a chef didn’t happen as a result of an accident or injury. Had to run to a nearby food truck as our calendar didn’t allow any room to reschedule. We did see whales which was fantastic. We just want to be credited for our own breakfast expense and refunded a portion of our costs to account for the lack of a prepared breakfast.

We would not recommend this tour. It said to check in 30 minutes prior for check in but no one was there to check us in. Tour started late. Captain and deckhand were very unprofessional in dress code and how they engaged with guests. We did not appreciate seeing the Captain's naked butt cheeks as she steered the ship. The same went for the deckhand when she she was pulling the ropes on and off the boat. Luckily my grandson was not with us, very inappropriate. We had to ask for water and cold drinks if we wanted any, deckhand never offered any to us. The breakfast was a bust because the Chef broke his foot so no breakfast (they did offer us food from the food truck we we declined). We hope to get reimbursed for that part of the tour. We are paying guests, not a local known friend group, and expect to get treated as such in a professional manner. We will not be booking with them again.

This was a rocky boat even though we didn't go out far. Take Dramamine if needed. There were only 15 of us on the boat but the food was slow getting to us, and was cold by the time we ate it. We saw just a brief spout of a whale. Saw more whales just off the shore in Maui in case your going there too

Driver unable to go out because of the current we should have been given a refund on this tour.
I’ve had great experience in the past but not this time.
There were other companies offering guaranteed sittings for whales but I went with Viator because of your reliability.

It was nice, but we did not see whales. They say you can come back for free of you don't see whales, but they did not say anything at the end of the tour. They said Maiu is a better place for whale watching...

Such a great and beautiful experience to have breakfast on a boat and look for whales!! The water was so blue and to see the island from the water was incredible! The crew was so welcoming and interactive with everyone! Great tour!!
