The show was very short less than 40 minutes and the seats were awful. 100% not worth the money I could have watched it for free if I walked along the side by the lagoon. Dont waste your money
The diamond premier seating is worth it. We did not have to wait in line to get in and had great seats.
Been to over 5 Hawaiian luaus in the past. This one was the least enjoyable for several reasons.
1. No lei, puka shell necklace, or kakoa nut necklace, or reusable grocery bag gift (available for purchase, not included like the other luaus).
2. No imu kalua pig unearthing viewing.
3. Food was average.
4. Show overlapped with dinner service. Could not watch the show as closely because of this.
5. Show was very short (1 hr, 15 minutes), not the 2 hours that was advertised.
For the price, I recommend Paradise Cove luau in Kapolei instead.
Everything was beautiful, loved the location and the people was helpful and friendly. I would definitely book this luau again.
This was a highlight of our trip. The experience was so beautiful. What I liked most about it was that it opened up my kids' eyes to the beautiful, rich, strong culture of Hawaii. The staff were great, and welcoming, we were able to take photos with the performers afterwards. I recommend doing it after a few nights there if you can so you can truly enjoy and appreciate the experience. The backdrop of the sunset and the Hilton Lagoon was an added blessing. The buffet was a great with lots of options.
Sit close. It’s hard to see the stage. They should raise the stage up so everyone can see the dancers.
The show and food were awesome and delicious. 👌.. I recommend for anyone to experience. Particularly the atmosphere was great.
The experience was well put together. The food was excellent and I appreciated that there was a kids bar aswell. My toddler loved the Ube sweet potato!
It was a great time and getting up close was well worth the price. We will definitely do that again!
Traveling solo and I loved the show, food and being educated on Hawaiian history. I met some awesome people and had great conversations over dinner
I made a change to our reservation to a Luah and Viator helped me so much with the change all the way up to and including our arrival .
They moved the luau inside. Lost a lot of its authenticity. They did the best they could with what they had but the experience would have been so much better outside where a traditional luau is celebrated.
The experience was awesome! A few recommendations: book early if you want a meal, make note that there are show only seats when you’re booking, and watch your email for last minute changes (they alter locations sometimes).
Wonderful performance by Hawaiian dancers!! My wife and I tollally enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Honolulu
The Luau was amazing! I suggest getting the premium package so you can sit upfront and won’t have to wait in line to get in. Food was great as well. We did the Aloha Friday fireworks Luau. You don’t have to do the luau to enjoy the fireworks, but it was a nice combination.
This was my first Luau and it did not disappoint! We had heard mixed reviews from family who had been to another Luau (not at this resort) and said it wasn’t worth the expense and that the food was not that good. That was NOT the case here! The staff, entertainment and food were wonderful!! The performance group that included the drummers, announcer/singer and dancers were incredible.
Great food, amazing show. Best food I’ve had at a luau. We had second row seating which made the show easy to see. In our party of 11 3 had never experienced a luau
The atmosphere was a little chaotic as directions were not clear where to go to check in. We purchased the highest tier ticket and other than being closer to the front (the man in front of me still covered 1/3 of the stage and tables were so close together I couldn’t move to get a better view) and getting our food from the buffet first there wasn’t much more benefit. The food was terrible, other than the beef brisket. Plenty of flies greeted us at the buffet too. Even though we paid for top tier we felt nickel and dimed. The leis were all for purchase. I remember when I was a kid I would at least receive a shell necklace as a greeting. Not much of an aloha feeling at arrival. More like cattle being herded in. The show was good. We especially enjoyed the fire dancers but again everything felt a little too going through the motions and not enough aloha. I would think as top tier ticket holders we would at least be priority to get a picture with the performers but even that was a free for all at the end. We chose this luau because it was walking distance from our hotel but would rather have no luau. It was overall disappointing.
The location was very nice and convenient and check in was a breeze. Because we had to wait for the rest of our family the staff tried to give our table away several times even though we paid extra for our premier seats. The buffet food was plenty and was not bad for a buffet. There was not enough time for the pre luau activities and the entertainment was quite short. We started our meal around 6:00 and the entertainment started around 6:30 and it was over by 7:15.
Overall, I feel this luau was not a good value but it was nice to see the family having fun together.
This Luau was amazing!!! The food was great and the show was extraordinary. All dancers were amazing especially Tatiana, she pulled me up to the stage and I was the last one to dance with all the lgorgeous ladies!!!! Had a bladt!!!!!
It's not worth the cost. We spent over $600 for a family of 4. The food was mediocre , desert was blah and the show was ok. The event lasted about 2 hours. Instead go to another event and spend your money wisely.
The dances tell a story about who they are and their history. The food was good but we didn’t experience it coming off the pit. They had pork, fish and chicken.
Excellent show, food was good. Would certainly recommend to anyone. Very much enjoyed and weather was perfect
We loved every minute of it! It was very nice to have the chance to get to know the performers before hand with the sharpie tattoos table and orchid bracelet table. Food was delicious and performance was beautiful, you can tell they love what they do and love to share their culture!
Very well organized, energetic, fun & entertaining❤️. Staff was very attentive and the food selection was great. Very tasty.
The reservation that were made were not promised. My children did not get to participate in the extra activities as stated in the booking. Also we were let in after the show had already started stating they don’t let the show only viewers in until after it has started. My party of 7 did not get to participate in all activities they were done by the time they let us in. Also wasn’t able to get drinks as the bar closed once show got started. Also did not get the option to purchase photos and Extra show exclusives. Will not book again due to false advertisement . Spoke to the Luau director and he stated I would have to contact the company directly . Did that and they said they would have to investigate. No help at all and what a terrible experience we had.
We would suggest don't pick this Luau, it's not worthy your $185 at all, spend some other Luaus which cost less and you will enjoy much more than this.
We have joined at least 10 different Luaus and this one is the most disppointed one. First, the activity started at 5:30pm, so they exactly won't let you in until 5:30pm, we were waiting outside in long quene for abount one hour, this experience never happened on us before when we joined other Luaus. 2nd, no welcome leis. 3rd, when we're ready to take pictures, the photographer command the kids stay in the middle, why? 4th, it was raining constantly, we're eating and watching shows with rains, the hotel didn't even express any regrets or offer some credit for clients. 5th, the wetsite says the total hours of event is 3 hours, but the event finished in 2 hours. 6th, we have to asked for the emergency raitcoat when we saw other paticipants had raincoat. 7th, the performance is realy very pale, the fire dance is not an excited one compared with other Luaus.
Generaly, we're very dispointed, only thing we like would be the food, but it mixed with a lot of rain and we lost our appetize totally.
Extremely overpriced. Disgusting food. Very unorganized. We weren’t let in until an hour after the event had started because there wasn’t clear direction of where to go. We had to ask three different employees at the Hilton to be directed to the event. When we got there, there wasn’t a clear place of entry. There was no direction. We were just sat down and not told what to do. Lines were extremely long. There was bugs in the water pitcher. No protection against the rain. My partner and I became sick after eating the luau food. This event is worth about $60 not $250 due to the fireworks and the show, not the food. we had to wait about 30 minutes for the firework show standing in the rain when they had said it was going to be 5 to 10 minutes. The show was about 10 minutes long and lackluster. I would honestly like a refund, but I know that’s not possible. So the least I can do is warn people to the honest truth.
If you get the show only - no dinner, you will have to wait until everyone that chose the dinner tickets to finish eating dinner. You will not get a chance to do the activities they have for children and families. You will also not get a chance to get your photo taken.
The show only tickets don’t have a good view and the area where the show is at is open to people walking by so practically, you pay for your ticket while others watch it for free. It was a very short show as well. It doesn’t take the amount of time the ticket says. I wouldn’t book this again.
Everyone should experience a luau. The food was delicious something for everyone! The show was great loved the audience participation.
