What a FANTASTIC TOUR with our driver/tour guide AUGUST (Oahu Grand Circle Island and Haleiwa Tour). August was great 100%; very knowledgeable, professional, (( was traveling Solo with a group of people I did not know prior to tour) and August offered on ALL stops to take pictures of me "capturing the landscape, signs, etc. We had a delicious lunch at Tanaka's Shrimp Shack and August had me find a table, sit down and he picked up my lunch from counter up front and brought to me along with drink. August was helpful to the other passengers as well but showed a genuine caring interest with me because I was traveling along. All the tour spots we stopped at were so beautiful, interesting and awesome views. I learned SO MUCH while on the tour with August. I plan to travel to Oahu again and I would definitely book this same tour again. Thank you SO MUCH August for a wonderful tour!!!

Our tour guide Brian was great. The scenery was breathtaking…but the snorkeling was a big disappointment. The water was nothing but mud. You would not want to get in the water. They need to take this option off their website.

The driver was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the vehicle’s speaker system made it difficult to understand/hear her commentary. The air conditioning on the bus was barely functioning, and it was very warm in the bus all day. We passed many beautiful beaches, but the beach where we stopped for snorkeling, was not beautiful. It did have turtles, which was nice to see, but the water was brown, muddy, and the shore rocky. you weren’t able to see anything underwater because of those conditions.

Very unpleasant experience! The entire itinerary felt completely senseless. The stops were far too frequent and completely lacked substance or educational value. To make matters worse, the bus was outdated and the speaker system was horrible.
For lunch, we were dropped off in the middle of nowhere with almost no options. Our only choices were a disgusting shrimp truck or a 7-Eleven. Frustrated and hungry, I ended up cutting the tour short and taking an Uber back to our hotel. Save your money.

The Grand Circle Tour is a great way to see a lot of the island in a single day. I would do it early in your visit so you can see areas that you might want to revisit. It was a long tour - about 11 hours. We knew that going in though, but we had some older family members that were wiped out by the end of the day. Most of the tour is spent on the bus driving to the various destinations, but our tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and provided a lot of history about Hawaii. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because of the “snorkeling” stop with sea turtles. We did see a few turtles, but the beach we stopped at was a little sketchy with what looked like several homeless people living there in the surrounding woods. The water in that area was murky due to fresh water rivers mixing with the ocean. I doubt we would have seen turtles in the water while snorkeling. We got lucky and saw a few on the beach. No one in our party of 8 got in the water except my 12-yr old daughter up to her knees. If we had known that’s what it would be, we would have preferred to skip that and perhaps visit one of the much nicer beaches we passed with the beautiful blue water. Overall, it was still a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it. Honestly, I’d probably give it 4.5 stars if that was an option.

Darcy, our tour guide was great! As a local, he was so informative. Not only did we learn about the history, culture and facts of the various sites, he sprinkled personal anecdotes throughout. What he referred to as “useless information” really gave our tour a personal touch and we learned so much!
Darcy was also very attentive to everyone’s needs. Between health issues and food allergies he made sure we were all safe and comfortable.

Definitely a great day. Cousin Darcy was charming and friendly. Lots of great island anecdotes. Make sure to confirm where you will be picked up.
Donuts! Coffee! Dole pineapple whip!!! Some places do not take cash so have a card or Apple Pay ready.
Great lunch plate (the spicy #3 shrimp is NO JOKE spicy… you are warned)
Great trip for the driver in your group so you get a chance to view the island.
Snorkeling spot was very muddy from recent rain but driver told us of alternate spots we could try on our own. And hiking trails. And beaches.
Take notes for sites that are suggested that you’d like to revisit at your own pace.

This tour guide was not a people person. I am on a cane he saw that and did not offer the step to board the bus. I know how waivers work had I suffered an injury it would have been legally my fault. As a patron I had no knowledge of the safety features on the bus but your driver knew and never offered. Another passenger saw my struggle and asked about a step the driver smugly said yes he had one, but he never offered before.Very unprofessional.

Waste of money. Wouldn’t do it again. Everyone in the group wanted to be done with the tour and decided to be finish early, some people even got an uber and left earlier on their own.
Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Would really appreciate a refund.

HORRIBLE TOUR BEWARE
1. The air conditioning in the bus did not work. It was so bad, that other participants abandoned the tour and took an uber back to their hotel. I even called in advance because there are many reviews that say AC does not work and they assured me that it did.
2. Tour instructions say to bring cash because there will be stores that do not take credit card and only cash. THIS IS A LIE. Everywhere we went, they took credit/debit and many refused to take cash. The only reason why they ask you to bring cash is to ask for tips for the driver/tour guide. That is it. It was obvious too that where they took us to eat, was coordinated and the driver got kickbacks.
3. The tour guide was not really that good. She spoke about things like we were an inconvenience. It was almost like she was being forced to do something she didn’t want to. Lazy work comes to mind.
Overall the experience sucked and I would not recommend at all.

An engaging and very worthwhile trip to see main highlights of the island of Oahu. Plenty of breaks and suberb food stops. Snorkeling experience with turtles cherry on the cake. Johnny the guide is very professional and knowledgeable - looked after us all very well and made it a great day, keeping us all entertained. This is a good trip to take at start of holiday to familiarise you to the island especially if you're going to hire a car.

The tour was interesting with many stops. The driver was knowledgeable and friendly. The bus was a little old and the air conditioner was not working. It was very hot in the van! The microphone was not working correctly the whole time which made it hard to hear her. The lunch was not that great. It would have been nice to stop at the food trucks that were nearby.

A/C did not work full strength. Beach stop was disappointing! We must’ve passed 2-3 nice bleaches and stopped at a rocky beach and were told to ignore the unhoused people (there were several encampments). Little to no sand area.

Overall I’m glad I got to experience another part of the island. However, I would not recommend this tour company to provide that experience. It seems that we knowingly were transported on a bus without a functioning air conditioner. The bus was extremely warm. The driver pulled off the road a least 20 times to turn the bus off and back on again to try and fix it. We made stops not listed on the itinerary (souvenir shops that seemed unnecessary). Our driver made us choose between beach time and the Dole Plantation because she did not have enough time to take us to both. Therefore, we were not able to experience Dole Plantation even though it was a highlighted stop of the tour. We were not able to snorkel because our beach time was at a beach not listed on the itinerary. The one highlight of the tour was being able to spot turtles at the beach.
