It was a nice family/intimate friendly setting. Not the best that I’ve seen before but not bad either. I like how the host did engage with audience, so 👍🏽 for that!
Flora_H, Jun 2026
This was a very pleasant experience. I enjoyed the dancers, the laughter. The people that were there at the part of the food was delicious and the drink the free my ties was the bomb. I would encourage anyone that comes to the island to stop by the luau

Excellent Luah. Perfect location. Wonderful dancers, host, and food. My family and I enjoyed the show so much.

Wonderful experience!!! So much fun! My wife and I were recognized for our 50th Wedding Anniversary!!!
Linda_B, May 2026
Very talented performers. Convenient location to our hotel. Food was good. Located within the International Mall.

Donald_A, May 2026
Great entertainment but only a so so meal. Make sure you try and do all the activities but don’t expect a great meal
CEDRIC_P, May 2026
Unfortunately we did not know this was going to be in the middle of a mall. The food was not good at all. They did not give us any knives to cut or chicken. No salt pepper or butter for the rolls. It was sad it was my mom’s 73d birthday and I wanted so much more for her. They don’t have any decor on the tables either.
David_B, May 2026
I would certainly not book this tour as other people can view the whole show from upstairs and pay nothing.. we paid $226 per adult for show and dinner.. show was reasonable and food was terrible.
Response from Host, May 2026
Aloha, and thank you for your feedback.
Queen’s Waikiki Luau is designed to offer a fun, convenient Waikiki luau experience right in the heart of Waikiki at International Market Place. Unlike many luaus that require long bus rides outside of Waikiki, guests can enjoy an evening of Polynesian entertainment, fire knife dancing, cultural activities, cocktails, and dinner all within walking distance of most Waikiki hotels.
While portions of the show may be visible from surrounding areas, ticketed guests receive reserved seating, full buffet dinner, interactive activities, and the complete hosted experience.
We’re sorry the food did not meet your expectations, but we appreciate you joining us and sharing your feedback.

Wonderful show and meal. An interactive experience also. The dancers were absolutely amazing. Loved hearing the stories and the meaning behind the different dances.
Shaunnetta_B, Apr 2026
This was my first luau and I loved it. The rain, drizzle, was definitely unexpected but it didn’t stop us from enjoying our time or the dancers from smiling and keep going. The only downside was the location I think. I think the show and dinner was worth each penny but I hated that so many got to see the show for free by simply standing on the above decks of the mall. I really would have preferred that the show was set up for only paying customers
Damon_H, Apr 2026
This Luau was so much fun! The MC kept the crowd engaged throughout with his energy and by swinging by each of the tables to say hi. Early on, we had the opportunity to learn different Polynesian cultural activities. Then we had a delicious dinner and were welcome to seconds, which we took full advantage of. Lastly, there was the show- which was fantastic! There were many great dances and the final act of the show was a great finish. This is a great value activity that I'd recommend for visitors to Waikiki.
Lemore_G, Apr 2026
Did not feel like a real luau experience. Very disappointed
Was expecting a real luau and this is not even close
Robin_P, Apr 2026
Somehow, after reading earlier reviews, I did not realize that this was a luau in the middle of a shopping mall. The entertainers were wonderful and we got a good sense of some cultural background, and the food was decent.
ben_h, Apr 2026
It was a great time. I was a little nervous after seeing it was inside the mall but the host did a great job at making us feel comfortable. It was also an intimate sized group so we felt very welcomed. If highly recommend it as it was a 5 minute walk from our hotel as well.
Takira_R, Mar 2026
A representation of each island was good to see and learn
Able to learn a skill and showcase in front of the crowd was fun
Mai Tai was delicious
Andrew_K, Mar 2026
It was during some heavy rains so it was an anomaly. The show must go on right? Tents were lazily placed. Within 30 min of the luau, the water built up on the tent, sending it crashing down. I believe no one got seriously hurt but this shouldn’t have gotten this far. The money makes the poor decisions in this industry and costs the tourists their hard earned money for sub par experiences. A refund was promised so let’s see. I’m sure it can be fun in good weather so don’t want to knock them for that. Just the decision to collect money rather than actually take care of customers

Aloha, and thank you for your feedback.
Safety is always our top priority, and due to the unexpected weather conditions that evening, the show was stopped early out of caution. We sincerely apologize for the disruption and frustration caused.
The severe rainfall and wind conditions that night were highly unusual, but we understand that guests trusted us to provide a safe and enjoyable experience regardless of weather. We appreciate your acknowledgment that no serious injuries occurred, and we took immediate action onsite once the weather intensified.
As mentioned, refunds are being processed for affected guests. While weather in Hawaiʻi can sometimes be unpredictable, experiences like this are extremely rare for us, and we remain committed to providing a fun, safe, and memorable luau experience for our guests in Waikiki.
Mahalo for your understanding and feedback.

The photos are edited-the actual show looks nothing like this. The only reason for the positive reviews is the bar offers a “free gift” if you show them a review you wrote, so don’t trust the others! It is in a mall, under cheap, dirty tents and sitting at cramped, uncomfortable tables. We weren’t even welcomed or escorted to our table. When we walked in after waiting in the mall for 25 mins they pointed to a table where people were already seated and we had to ask them to rearrange so we could sit together. The “cultural activities” were already underway I guess and some fruit was in a corner with cheap paper cups. No one attempted to explain what was happening. We tried to make the best of it, but were not invited to join an activity or offered anything. We got drinks after waiting 10 mins at the bar. Finally the “show” started and I guess that was ok…a guy made some jokes and the people who had gotten there early and learned the “cultural activities” were invited up to show off their new skills. Boring and uninteresting, nothing explained as far as cultural significance. Dinner was served cattle call style and that was adequate. The food wasn’t awful but there wasn’t even a knife to cut the tough chicken. Line for bar continued to be 10 mins long. The show started again after everyone had gone through the line-again boring and uninformative. Didn’t learn a thing, no atmosphere, cheaply done. If this was $50 a person I’d say maybe go if you can’t do another luau. But this was absurdly overpriced for a pathetic display. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company-photo proof the photos on viator are AI. I’m so disappointed we wasted our luau on this!

Aloha, and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We’re very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We’d like to clarify that our photos and videos are of our actual luau and are not AI-generated. Queen’s Waikiki Luau is located at the open-air Queen’s Courtyard at International Market Place, which is reflected throughout our website, social media, and booking platforms.
Regarding reviews, we occasionally offer small complimentary items at the bar as a fun guest engagement activity, but we never require or exchange positive reviews in return. We welcome honest feedback from all guests.
We also apologize if your arrival and seating experience felt disorganized. Providing a welcoming and smooth check-in experience is important to us, and your comments will be reviewed with our team. Our show is designed to be interactive and family-friendly, blending Polynesian entertainment, audience participation, cultural demonstrations, and fire knife dancing in a relaxed Waikiki setting.
For future guests reading reviews, many visitors specifically choose us because of our convenient Waikiki location, walkability from nearby hotels, and intimate open-air atmosphere without needing transportation to another part of the island.
Mahalo again for your feedback and for giving us a try.

The best part was the dancers and the fire twirlers. The drummers were really good too. Cons: The food wasn't good and the angle of the tables made it hard to see the performance. It's inside the mall, but they have it blocked off from everyone else.
Jane_A, Mar 2026
Great luau. The first one I had ever been to, and it had a good mix of culture and entertainment. The food was delicious. The MC of the luau was fabulous. When me and my friend first walked in, we both were like interesting place and aren’t too sure however once everything got going, and the show went on, the environment was perfect. If you’re looking for a small, smaller more intimate venue, this is the luau to go to. Bonus, when the show was all over the host, stood at the exit and shook everyone’s hand thanking them for coming. A very special touch.
anabel_a, Mar 2026
Love the interaction between the host and the audience. I especially enjoyed the way the host came off the stage to speak with every guest. A very welcoming feeling. The show was jaw dropping, a real nail biter! Quite exciting. Great job. Look forward to revisiting again soon!

Should have been $75
..... wasnt worth the. price we paid, didnt know it was in the mall! Lol very talented cast tho and appreciated the effort.
Lorraine_M, Mar 2026
Entertainment was great Food was great. Loved the crowd interaction with the guests. The staff was polite and friendly.
Lee_K, Mar 2026
Show was phenomenal; dinner was unexceptional. I was expecting a traditional Hawaiian meal; we got chicken, chow mein and mac-n-cheese. Not quite worth the cost!
Hollee_C, Mar 2026
This was a great experience! Great food, incredible performances. It was a little harder to find than expected, but it was really great!
Kari_A, Mar 2026
Great Entertainment! Would do it again. Very impressive performance and the native dancers were fantastic. Food was less than but the entertainment made it worth it.
Kelly_B, Feb 2026
you should specify this is i a mall that part was very disappointing otherwise it was great! definitely need a different venue
Jackie_M, Feb 2026
It’s not worth the money. Go to a real luau on a beach. Food and show was horrible.
You can see a free show if you show up to the mall at the time of the show.
