It’s really interesting to submerge inside a sub. Seeing all the ocean life and the places they swim around was really neat. Our guide was great- she shared a lot of good information that I’d never been told.

This was an amazing underwater wonderland! My husband and I took our 8 year old son who was completely captivated! We saw lots of tropical fish along with a few sea turtles, star fish, several sharks, and even a sting ray! We joined the 1/10th of 1% of people who have been that deep in the ocean!! Pretty amazing!

Most people have never been on a submarine so this was a very unique way to view sea life that few get to experience. I took my husband and 6 year old daughter on the excursion and we all enjoyed it very much. It was raining the day and we were afraid it might be cancelled but there were not issues. Highly recommend.

There is a steep lader to climb to get down to the submarine. Other than that it was super cool although young kids may be bored.

We are sorry to hear that your recent adventure was less exciting than you had hoped, but are glad that you experienced the opportunity traveling to the bottom of the sea in a submarine.
Unfortunately, Waikiki has very sparse natural reef environments, and over the past 100 years, the natural reef has been disappearing. In collaboration with the University of Hawaii Sea Grant Program, Atlantis has created many expansive artificial reef environments that have helped reef and marine life flourish. We hope that with a little time and care, our natural reefs will continue to grow.

If you are excited about traveling in submarine it’s a nice one time experience! Tour-wise it wasn’t much exciting. They take us to an artificially created reef where there are boat, airplane and some stuff placed by Atlantis. And we’ll see some fishes around those. Other than that no other sea creatures visible in that area. Might not be worth the price!

The ocean is often quite unpredictable, and sightings of underwater life vary from hour to hour. It is true, at depths past 50 feet, a phenomenon called "color absorption" occurs. This means that fish and coral that would have bright colors near the surface take on a more dull hue, and often everything will appear blue.

Incredible experience and worth the money you pay. You’re underwater for about 45 minutes and visit six different structures that have been sunk deliberately as part of a conservation project. The wildlife you see is unmatched to other water activities we did in Oahu. A truly unforgettable experience and I’d recommend this to anyone visiting!

The submarine tour was a very unique experience. Going down over 100ft is something not many people will experience and was a great time. It was very interesting to see the artifical reefs and the life around them. The guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience very fun.

It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and overall the best. I could dive and take a submarine trip with them again and again. As a matter of fact, I did. They ensured that I had an experience that I would never forget and I won't. From the gentleman that initially checked me in to their last Aloha. Being able to see the plane's wing that was underwater to the boats that had been sunk in order to help protect underwater species helps us all to live together on this place called planet Earth. This was absolutely amazing. I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to ride in a submarine and experience something like this. The views were breathtaking — elegant ocean life, sharks, turtles, sunken ships, plane wrecks, and vibrant reefs.
Our guide (Maya-Alicia’s sister) completely stole the show. Her humour was second to none, she kept everything entertaining, the music choice added so much to the experience, and the history lessons were incredibly intriguing. An unforgettable adventure from start to finish.
