We were lucky to be in a smaller van and only 8 people total showed up. This tour will give you everything the super tours do, but with a more intimate setting. Our driver and host, Quinten was SUPERB! The whole day he gave us knowledge and history on the islands in general, along with showing us some fun things along the way like Jackie Chan & Keanu Reeves houses! Quinten only works on Saturday so if you want this fabulous experience, book for a Saturday. Really there are not enough words to explain how fabulous this whole day was! I can’t recommend this tour enough.

Lots to see around the island out of the city area. We got to see sea turtles along the beach! Be prepared for unexpected events and be flexible.

it was hardly a snorkel with the turtles.
More like walking in thigh deep water,

Basically a sponsored food tour, with stops at various food trucks and Dole. No waves, so no blowhole, the Turtle bay snorkeling was awfil, because the sea churned up the sand, in shallow water with rocks. One of the worst swimming beaches in Oahu

The island tour itself was excellent, and our tour guide was exceptionally friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. He made the experience enjoyable and is a big reason the tour was a positive one overall.
However, the pickup and departure process needs significant improvement. Our ticket listed pickup at 7:00 a.m. with a 7:00 a.m. start time, yet we were not picked up until 7:45 a.m. That delay was frustrating, especially for guests who arrived on time and were ready to begin as scheduled.
The pickup area was also very confusing and stressful. With 20+ buses for different tours arriving in the same area, guests were left running up and down the street asking each driver which tour they were with. A much better system would be for drivers to hold a sign with the tour name, or clearly display the tour name on the front of the bus, so guests can quickly and confidently identify their transportation.
Additionally, departures should remain timely for guests who arrive as instructed. Delaying the entire group because others are late is unfair to those who were punctual, and it reduced the amount of time we were able to spend enjoying some of the stops.
Overall, the guide was outstanding, but the pickup and departure logistics need to be much more organized, clear, and respectful of guests’ time.

Our driver was excellent. Unfortunately, I cannot remember his name. He was very funny, kind and entertaining. It was cool getting to see the entire island. I will, however, mention that I did not like the fact that we did go out of order or certain things. Also, my kids were very disappointed they did not get to snorkel, unfortunately, nobody from our tour was able to snorkel since it is a very rocky area and I would say not the best for snorkeling. Also, the pitstops that we made were extremely short and felt very rushed given the timeframe we were given.

The tour was ok. We seemed to be rushed at every stop. Nobody could snorkel because there wasn't enough time and the water was too churned up by storms earlier in the month. Pickups and parking at some stops were problems because the bus was too large to park at the planned locations.

Great tour guide. Very pleasant and relaxed tour. Uncle D is an incredible soul and fantastic at his tour guide job.
Only suggestion is: I wish there were one or two stops where people could better appreciate and take pictures of the mountains - they could be just 10 min pull over stops at one or two key sites. Also, if possible, it would be great to do another 10 min pull over stop just to appreciate the pineaple plantation. But, I have no hesitation to recommend this tour. It was super nice. I would do it again.

I was more than pleased with this tour. Marvie our guide was great! This is the best way to see many of the major sites. Snorkeling on the north shore was still rough from storms last month. Fantastic lunch stop. Dole Plantation, Blowhole and other parks were all great stops. Don't miss this!

Not what we expected. It was hard to hear the driver, too many people for us and the beach was marginal compared to other places we stopped. Due to other guests being late to stops we didn't stay long at the Dole Plantation.

It was a good tour and our guide “Marvellous” was interesting and fun. Unfortunately he had to be too patient as tourists don't always listen and follow instructions.
We ended up late back due to two groups not arriving back at the bus at the designated time, causing significant delays.
Besides that the stops were interesting and relevant.
We chose not to swim/ snorkel as it was cool and windy and the water very murky. We did get to see turtles there though.
The Dole Whip was a favourite.

Uncle D was a wonderful tour guide and friend. Made us feel like family and had lots of information about the island, its culture, economics and history. I am especially thankful for the time he spent with my husband who was not able to do a lot of walking. Take care, our friend Uncle D.

That said,Travellers should know that group travel does come with a few trade-offs. You need to be flexible with schedules, as everything runs on a set itinerary, and there may be times when you have to compromise on what you personally want to do. Personal space and downtime can also be limited, depending on the group dynamic.
Overall, if you’re open-minded, patient, and enjoy meeting new people, group travel can be incredibly rewarding. It’s a great way to explore the world while building connections you might not otherwise have made.
