We had a fantastic experience at this cooking class! Our chef and instructor Ricardo was very experienced, knowledgeable, and engaging, making the class both fun and educational. We learned how to make delicious gumbo, shrimp and grits, and bananas foster Each dish was flavorful, and the chef shared great tips, techniques, and insights along the way. The class was well organized, hands-on, and enjoyable from start to finish. Whether you’re an experienced cook or a beginner, this is a wonderful way to learn new skills, enjoy amazing food, and have a memorable experience. Highly recommend! Don’t eat before you go because you’ll make a lot of food!
Terri and Packy did an amazing job guiding our class - very knowledgeable and friendly. We especially appreciated their personal stories. Cooking experience was fun, food was excellent! Getting to keep the apron and blood Mary’s and mimosas with lunch were both a plus!

We are avid food tour participants so doing a cooking class was a nice change. It was great to learn about New Orleans history and food in a hands-on experience. The food and instruction by Cindy was fantastic.

There are two types of classes, demonstration and hands on. We did the hands on experience and it was phenomenal. Renee was our instructor chef and he made the class very interesting. The hands on class also includes mimosas, Bloody Marys, wine, beer and to go cups ! While not required, drinking was encouraged. We had a lot of fun, learned a lot and enjoyed a very tasty meal that we made ourselves.
Very relaxed time, easy to follow, authentic recipes and great atmosphere. Enjoyed our instructor Chef Bobby; would definitely recommend this experience.
Staff was very friendly, dishes were delicious!! Loved the cultural context and knowledge nuggets by Chef Austin. Great way to meet people on vacation!

Great experience. Great date night activity. Not only learned about the food we made and how to cook it, but learned a lot about New Orleans history and culture. Chef Lynn was a great host and teacher.
If you are looking for a fun way to connect with food, DO THIS!!! We went to the evening hands on demonstration and were there for 3 hours and it was amazing. Chef Austin was not only knowledgeable but he was funny and engaging and we can’t wait for more of our family members to do this! We are locals (anlmost everyone else were tourists) but the size of the class was perfect and everyone was so nice. The meal and wine were DELICIOUS!!! You won’t be disappointed! My daughter in law gifted this and it was the PERFECT gift for Christmas, birthday, etc.

The class was great. Chef Erick did a good job. We have done quite a few similar classes and this was as good or better than any others. The meal that we prepared was fantastic- can’t wait to get home and try the recipes.

I’m not any kind of a chef or cook, but she was slow and explaining the instructions. It was a fun alternative, to the regular type tours we take.

Chef Ricardo was really fun and entertaining. Intimate setting in back created a great atmosphere for cooking and dining. Amazing time and highly recommend!
This was an awesome experience! We had a great time with the hands on cooking class! Chef Eric was not only a wonderful teacher but very informative about the history of the food we were preparing. Had a great time and the food we made was really good! We may have to come back to New Orleans just for the class again!! Oh and bonus you get to meet people from different places!!

I had very little cooking experience before this class. So, I was outside of my comfort zone. Last night I made 3 delicious dishes under Chef Greg guidance. I'm very thankful I took the class.

it was a wonderful experience. The chef was patient and great and created a very collegial atmosphere. Everybody got to enjoy plenty of food in addition to making it. Highly recommended.

We like to find cooking classes when we travel, but sometimes it's hit or miss. This time was definitely a hit! We had a great teacher, chef ricardo, and another couple. He was very informative and funny and made the cooking experience a treat! We made a three-course meal, traditional to New Orleans, and everything was delicious. It was a very fun time and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to do something different while on vacation, or a date, or a friend's outing.

We really enjoyed this class. This is a full hands on class where you cook all the food, although it is pre-portioned and organised for you. This contrasts with the demonstration class which I have done before, where you watch the chef cook.
We had Chef Lynne as our instructor who was wonderful. She explained everything clearly and constantly helped all the class members. Our menu was chicken & sausage gumbo, shrimp & grits, and bananas foster crepes. This included making a roux for the gumbo and flambé for the banana foster which was fun! I recommend this class and would do it again (worth a different menu) the next time I’m in NOLA.
Fun, interactive experience for people who like to eat. Chef Ricardo was informative and entertaining.
Excellent class & experience! Chef Rene and Janel were wonderful. Highly recommend when visiting NOLA & you love food! Who doesn’t love the food in NOLA!!!
