Great experience. Great date night activity. Not only learned about the food we made and how to cook it, but learned a lot about New Orleans history and culture. Chef Lynn was a great host and teacher.
If you are looking for a fun way to connect with food, DO THIS!!! We went to the evening hands on demonstration and were there for 3 hours and it was amazing. Chef Austin was not only knowledgeable but he was funny and engaging and we can’t wait for more of our family members to do this! We are locals (anlmost everyone else were tourists) but the size of the class was perfect and everyone was so nice. The meal and wine were DELICIOUS!!! You won’t be disappointed! My daughter in law gifted this and it was the PERFECT gift for Christmas, birthday, etc.

That means so much to us! We love when our locals come out to support us. Thank you!
The class was great. Chef Erick did a good job. We have done quite a few similar classes and this was as good or better than any others. The meal that we prepared was fantastic- can’t wait to get home and try the recipes.

We are so happy you enjoyed your time here! Let us know how it turns out!
It was a lot of fun and we’d recommend the class! The host was knowledgeable and added to the experience! We may be going back for a hands on brunch class.
I’m not any kind of a chef or cook, but she was slow and explaining the instructions. It was a fun alternative, to the regular type tours we take.

Thank you!
Chef Ricardo was really fun and entertaining. Intimate setting in back created a great atmosphere for cooking and dining. Amazing time and highly recommend!
This was an awesome experience! We had a great time with the hands on cooking class! Chef Eric was not only a wonderful teacher but very informative about the history of the food we were preparing. Had a great time and the food we made was really good! We may have to come back to New Orleans just for the class again!! Oh and bonus you get to meet people from different places!!

Meeting new friends is one of the BEST parts!
I had very little cooking experience before this class. So, I was outside of my comfort zone. Last night I made 3 delicious dishes under Chef Greg guidance. I'm very thankful I took the class.

You don't have to be a great cook to enjoy our classes, that's for sure. Thanks for coming!
it was a wonderful experience. The chef was patient and great and created a very collegial atmosphere. Everybody got to enjoy plenty of food in addition to making it. Highly recommended.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the New Orleans cemeteries! He is a wealth of knowledge and shared so much history with our group. I highly recommend
Take the early tour, it gets hot!
Ricardo and Melinda were so friendly and helpful. Everyone in the group was enjoying themselves and made delicious food
We like to find cooking classes when we travel, but sometimes it's hit or miss. This time was definitely a hit! We had a great teacher, chef ricardo, and another couple. He was very informative and funny and made the cooking experience a treat! We made a three-course meal, traditional to New Orleans, and everything was delicious. It was a very fun time and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to do something different while on vacation, or a date, or a friend's outing.

We really enjoyed this class. This is a full hands on class where you cook all the food, although it is pre-portioned and organised for you. This contrasts with the demonstration class which I have done before, where you watch the chef cook.
We had Chef Lynne as our instructor who was wonderful. She explained everything clearly and constantly helped all the class members. Our menu was chicken & sausage gumbo, shrimp & grits, and bananas foster crepes. This included making a roux for the gumbo and flambé for the banana foster which was fun! I recommend this class and would do it again (worth a different menu) the next time I’m in NOLA.
Fun, interactive experience for people who like to eat. Chef Ricardo was informative and entertaining.
Excellent class & experience! Chef Rene and Janel were wonderful. Highly recommend when visiting NOLA & you love food! Who doesn’t love the food in NOLA!!!
Make sure you taste all the ingredients for salt level, especially stocks and sausage. What we made ended up being too salty. We had no control over salt levels. That was done for us.
They really should not put salt in their stocks. It makes it difficult to control salt levels. Better to provide salt as a separate ingredient and teach about proper seasoning as you go. It is possible they are avoiding this subject as it takes time. However, it is fundamental to everything else.
Otherwise we had a very good experience.
Thanks!

Chef Ricardo was very personable and engaging. Felt like having a dinner party with friends. The food was delicious and fun to prepare.
It is a wonderful hands on cooking experience. The chef gave a great explanation of Creole cooking and the Gumbo recipe was great.
Lovely cooking experience that provided hands-on skills for making some regional dishes. Instructor provided some neat historical details of the NOLA food scene as well as providing culinary technique guidance. Would definitely return for another class.
Had the most amazing time. The food turned out great, dessert was even better. Met some nice people from all over the U.S and had some laughs and flambe! Chef G was awesome!

Christina,
Thank you for the review! We love that you had a good time.
Chef was very entertaining. Organization of ingredients and the flow of events and instruction was very impressive. Food we made was delicious. My wife and I enjoyed this experience and would definitely attend again.
We did the hands on cooking class with Chef Bobby. He was highly engaged with the group, friendly, and patient in explaining the steps and food. The recipes were simple to follow and all our dishes came out delicious (to our surprise). Nice experience for those who enjoy cooking and eating!
This was amazing. Yes, the price is steep, but the experience was outstanding. I will definitely do this again.
Chef Rene was absolutely amazing. He and the entire staff at this location made me feel welcomed as a solo participant. I learned so much from this experience and whether you are sharing this experience with someone you know or traveling solo, like I was, it was an amazing time. I didn’t realize how much would be included in this experience. I bought so much from the store because I wanted to duplicate all of the food that we made.
I highly recommend this to anybody who wants to learn new cooking techniques and eat some good food.

Lots of fun learning history and cooking from chef Rene. We prepared BBQ shrimp, gumbo and bananas foster. All you can drink too.
An absolutely fantast experience! It was a great choice in menu and Cindy, the Chef was a terrific mentor in helping us create the dishes. The food was exceptional.
Great experience! Chef Teri was great! Good food! Our husbands are now sorry they didn't go with us.
