We did the hands on cooking class with Chef Bobby. He was highly engaged with the group, friendly, and patient in explaining the steps and food. The recipes were simple to follow and all our dishes came out delicious (to our surprise). Nice experience for those who enjoy cooking and eating!

A Definite MUST Do!!!

Michele_V, Mar 2026
This was amazing. Yes, the price is steep, but the experience was outstanding. I will definitely do this again.

Highly recommend, wonderful experience

Sandra_S, Mar 2026
Chef Rene was absolutely amazing. He and the entire staff at this location made me feel welcomed as a solo participant. I learned so much from this experience and whether you are sharing this experience with someone you know or traveling solo, like I was, it was an amazing time. I didn’t realize how much would be included in this experience. I bought so much from the store because I wanted to duplicate all of the food that we made. I highly recommend this to anybody who wants to learn new cooking techniques and eat some good food.

Tons of fun

David_W, Mar 2026
Lots of fun learning history and cooking from chef Rene. We prepared BBQ shrimp, gumbo and bananas foster. All you can drink too.

A great activity to experience culture and food while meeting new people. Bonus in that you get a three course meal and wine (we did the dinner time experience).

I’ll do this again!

Jason_L, Mar 2026
Very knowledgeable and fun class on cooking. If you’re worried that you can’t cook! You’ll be surprised. For those of you that are good cooks like my wife you’ll still have fun.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

We hope you come back! Thank you for the review.

Exceptional Experience!

Mary_S, Mar 2026
What an absolutely positive and fun experience! Chef Ricardo taught the class. He was so engaging and conveyed so much history about New Orleans cuisine. He was extremely well prepared and each work station was outfitted beautifully. He was very supportive and instructive. The food was amazing and we are anxious to cook the recipes we were given to our friends. Out of a group of 8 in the class we were the two that hardly can cook at all and one couple own a pub in Australia. He made all of us feel successful despite our disparate skill level. Wonderful and we’re anxious to do this next time we are in New Orleans!

Seeing a City
