Definitely well worth the experience and a great sampling of New Orleans: the variety of food, the history, and the culture. Jack was our tour guide and kept us on schedule and laughing throughout our day. He's wonderful! The cooking lesson was not hands on but Vivian, our chef, was entertaining and informative at the same time. And, of course, the food she created was delicious. I'm looking forward to trying the recipes myself when I get home. These folks really put a lot of time in organizing and prepared our tour with love. Oh, and wear comfortable shoes!

Samples of traditional New Orleans cuisine are defined and provided. Our guide Milton was entertaining and extremely informative about many aspects of the city's history and about the people who live here. Make sure you come hungry!

Kristi was so amazing!!! We rate our experience with her a 10!! She talked about the history of each place we went and talked about the food we tasted. Her outgoing personality really vibed well with the atmosphere we were in. We did cooking demonstration after and Chef Eric did a great job cooking and keeping us entertained. All the food we tasted was so good!! My family and I had a great time on the tour. Thank you for the memories!!

Susan, our tour guide was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable not only of the foods we ate but of the cultural history behind the item. Everything I ate was delicious and it was great to get restaurant and bakery recommendations from her. Renee, the chef at the cooking school was also very knowledgeable and I was happy to learn about making gumbo, jambalaya and pralines. This tour convinced me to take food tours in other cities!

The Walking Food Tour and Jack were great! We purchased the cooking class and it was not clear that this would be an additional 2-hours at the end and we had to wait around 40 minutes for it to start. Although it was a lot of fun, there was some redundancy in information.

Chef did an excellent job of providing a historical context for the food of New Orleans while demonstrating how to make each dish. I got a lot of great tips from him, and learned some new techniques that I am now using to cook for my daughter and her husband :)

Jake was extremely knowledgeable, and it was a joy to hear him speak of the city he obviously loves. The food was truly fantastic. The shrimp poboy was the best I have ever had. The cooking demonstration with Cindy was a fantastic lesson in the Cajon vs Creole cooking differences. Also, be prepared to be full by the end of the tour!
