The cook was amazing he will teach you all the tricks. And the food was great! I’m definitely going home and trying my skills for my family. And he made a list of things to do and eat around the area. Which was very helpful.

We had such a great time with Chef Scott!!! He taught us some new knife skills, New Orleans history, and how it make a lovely mimosa. We laughed and ate for hours. A definite must do!

We had the best time at the Mardi Gras School of Cooking class! Chef Scott answered all of our questions, made us laugh, and we left feeling like we could actually cook! We highly recommend this experience!

We had a great experience. It was just myself and a girlfriend in the class so it felt like a private class. We learned more than just cooking the dishes. Peston, who was very personable, taught us safety knife lessons and how to properly cut the ingredients and peel the food. Food was delicious and abundant. Actually took some home. New Orleans cooking is not fat free so be prepared for adding some calories! My only comment is that it would have been nice to have the recipes written down (on paper or blackboard) so you could follow along. I attended other schools in the city that where just observation based. Participating was much more fun!

My wife and I took a three hour cooking class with Laurent and Preston. They were friendly and made us feel at ease. We learned many good cooking techniques that we will incorporate in our everyday cooking. Additionally, we prepared and enjoyed a great meal with the other class participants. Highly recommend.
