⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing, Personalized Private Tour of Roatán!

Our private tour in Roatán was absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of our cruise. What made the experience so special was that it truly felt like our family’s tour, rather than a standard itinerary that we simply followed. Our guide, Cynthia, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, and made it a point to customize the experience around our family. Throughout the day, she suggested additional places we could visit and added stops that weren’t originally included in our tour. She also made sure we stopped at the Roatán sign so we could get our family pictures. Those thoughtful touches made us feel like she genuinely wanted us to experience and enjoy as much of the island as possible. And speaking of pictures—Cynthia deserves extra credit for being our unofficial family photographer! 😂 She happily took as many pictures as we wanted, with all the different poses we could come up with, and never made us feel rushed. One of our favorite stops was the monkey, sloth, and bird sanctuary. Our guide there, Kelab, was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and made the experience both fun and educational. He shared so much information with us, including the fascinating story of Fiona, a green macaw, and Jack, a red macaw, and their unique offspring. As a huge fan of Friends, I especially loved discovering that two of the birds were named Ross and Rachel and one of the monkeys was named Marcel. That was such a fun and unexpected part of the experience! The rum and chocolate tastings were another nice touch and gave us something different to enjoy during the day. One of the biggest advantages for us was having a private tour for just our family. We weren’t being moved around with a large group or forced to stick to a rigid schedule. Cynthia was able to adjust the day, make recommendations based on what interested us, and give us a much more personal experience. From the sightseeing and spontaneous stops to the animals, tastings, photos, and Cynthia’s wonderful hospitality, we felt like we got to experience Roatán in a way that was tailored specifically to us. Thank you, Cynthia and Kelab, for helping make our first visit to Roatán so memorable. We left with beautiful pictures, great memories, and a real appreciation for the island. This excursion was amazing! It truly highlighted a lot of the Roatán lifestyle and beautiful nature. Our tour guide Alanis and her husband Moises were so sweet! They were very patient, kind, considerate, and informative about the island. At AJ’s, the tour guide Michelle was amazing as well! She was so friendly and funny. She made sure we all had enough time to interact with the animals and take pictures as well. The chocolate and rum factories were cool to explore too. Ending the excursion with a small beach break was perfect! The beach was so pretty and clean. Highly recommend this excursion if you are visiting Roatan, Honduras!

Our favorite port!

JJ was fantastic! Super easy to find him at the port. A short walk to the car he was very knowledgeable about the island. Had so much fun talking with JJ and all the stops were amazing. The animal sanctuary all the animals were well taken care of and very clean you can tell they are loved. The snorkeling was amazing! Such a beautiful reef with so much life! Then the beach club had such a good set up! So clean and easy to get food and drinks and watersports. Absolutely would reccomend this tour to everyone! After a full day of fun JJ made sure we made it back to the boat on time!

Exciting day around Roatan

Diana gave us a personal tour to West Bay and the animal encounter with Sloths, Monkeys, birds etc. She was very happy to take us around the island. She set us up with our snorkeling guide. Watched our personal belongings while snorkeling. Assisted us when Needed. She gave us a big hug when The trip was over, and before we tipped her. Ask for Diana if you take this tour. She was wonderful.

Don’t Think About It—Just Book It! ❤️

This excursion was AMAZING! Planning an activity for 8 people can be difficult, but there was literally a little something for everyone. We felt so loved, welcomed, and safe with our tour guide, Jessica. She was incredibly knowledgeable and truly went above and beyond to immerse us in the culture. We even stopped at a supermarket, which was personally one of my favorite parts because I LOVE trying new snacks whenever I travel to different countries! 😂 Every part of this experience gave us a deeper appreciation for Honduras, and each of us left with a new love in our hearts for this gorgeous country. The food was amazing, the culture was rich, and the people were so kind. We loved the entire tour, and honestly, we especially loved getting to spend the day with Jessica! Don’t think about it—just book it. You won’t regret it! ❤️

Carlos our driver with MJ Tours was amazing! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was a very safe driver and stopped at tourist locations where we could take a family photo. The animal sanctuary is a perfect place to stop with the family and West Bay Beach was extremely nice and not crowded. MJ Tours also gave us each an ice cold water to stay cool.

Loved it!

This was amazing! Just know, it's a bit of a maze to find them. Just go through all the vendors, to a street filled with a hundred tour guides. We finally met William who led us to Base Camp. Then John led our group to the first landing. There are 16 zip lines and 24 platforms, all with experienced guides. I suggest booking the earliest time as it gets hot. Afterward, you can tour the monkeys and the sloths. We were offered a van to take us to the ROATAN sign further up the coast, we paid $5 per person, (there were 6 of us) definitly worth the $5 because they also took us back to the ship.

Our tour guide was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions! She got us everywhere safely and managed our time well and made sure we were back to port in plenty of time. The excursions themselves were wonderful! We had a lot of time with all of the animals and learned so much about the native species. The private island was so beautiful! The beach was clean with crystal blue water, lots of marine life to see while snorkeling, and the drinks were 💯! We can’t wait to come back!

Excellent time for all ages

I traveled with my dad, my fiancée, our four kids ages 2, 5, 13, 15 and my adult niece and her boyfriend. Even with all the different age ranges, we all agreed that this was the most incredible experience. We had Isaiah, he was absolutely amazing and fun! He gave us to much information about the island, he was so patient and kind with my kids, and we felt safe with him the entire time. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. The monkeys were fun, we had Pancho and he was jumping around on each of us. We couldn’t touch the sloths but were able to get really close to them. One was pregnant! We stopped at Mayak Chocolate, which was delicious! We then stopped at the rum store and got to sample some flavors. There was a bar in the back, the drinks were really good. This company went above and beyond for us. This was our third cruise but first time in Honduras, it ended up being our absolute favorite! We can’t wait to return.

Absolute blast!!!

We had so much fun on this excursion and would very much recommend it. My best friend and I are in our 50s and had our teenage boys with us and we ALL had a blast!!!! We were definitely tired at the end of the day but it was so worth it. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end.

Amazing Mother-Daughter Experience—Safe, Personal, and Unforgettable!

My teenage daughter and I had a wonderful experience on the Monkey, Sloth, and Drift Snorkel Tour in Roatán! It was just the two of us, and we felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the entire excursion. Meeting our guide just outside the cruise port was easy, and we had our own private driver. He was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our guide at the monkey and sloth sanctuary was amazing—welcoming, informative, and patient. He answered all our questions and made sure we each had plenty of time interacting with the animals. Our snorkeling guide was also wonderful. He explained everything clearly and helped ease any anxiety we had about snorkeling in the ocean, making us feel safe and confident. The entire experience was well organized, personal, and enjoyable from beginning to end. My daughter and I made incredible memories, and I would absolutely recommend this tour—especially to mothers traveling alone with their children or teenagers!

Having a blast around Roatan with Joe Black

We had an amazing time on this tour! Our guide, Joe Black, was outstanding from start to finish. He was friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and made sure everyone felt safe while having a great time. The itinerary was perfect—we started with a visit to a wildlife animal sanctuary where we got to see and learn about some incredible animals. Next, we had an absolute blast riding dune buggies through exciting trails, which was definitely a highlight of the day. To top it all off, we relaxed at a beautiful private beach resort, the perfect way to end an unforgettable adventure. Joe made the entire experience fun, smooth, and memorable.
