Amazing experience and 100% worth it. We had Shannon and Lainey, both of whom were skilled and knowledgeable. We got close to multiple whales, and even had a very close interaction with a whale swimming under our boat and surfacing next to it. Was also very cool to listen to them sing with the aqua phone. A few dolphins also decided to say hi and jump around nearby. Boat was smaller but stable and comfortably seated our party of about 16-20. I struggle with seasickness but took a angi-drowsy Dramamine and popped a ginger chew when getting on and had zero issues.

This boat was clean and great. There was enough seating for everyone who got on to see clearly. The people who ran the boat James and Mindy were very knowledgeable and friendly. They got us to the whales and we saw so many! The coolest thing was also listening to them with their microphone underwater.
We rate this boat and its people 10/10 and we will definitely be back again! love love loved it! The price was right too! It was perfect!

Shannon and Emma were so knowledgeable and also so very caring. They led us to the right place. We experienced so many whales and were fortunate enough to see a baby breach 4 times just off the boat. We had an excellent time. I highly recommend this boat.

The most amazing whale mugging ever! We had an upclose encounter with whales swimming around and under the boat! Emma was fun and engaging! Definitely recommend this company.

This was a great time! They left on time, details were well communicated, it was well organized and we saw lots of whales! There is nothing like being out on the water with the whales. You can really see the details of them and see how big they are. I love that this is a woman owned and ran business. You could tell they really care about their customers and wanted to give them the best experience possible. The naturalist knew her stuff and so did the captain. We trailed 3 big whales for quite a while and enjoyed their company. Just book it! I highly recommend!

This all girl crew knew where to go to see whales. We saw whales 10 minutes out of the harbor. Moms and calf’s, escorts, trio of three males traveling together…whales were everywhere. We like the 6:45 am time because the ocean is normally so clam and it’s easier to spot whales. They did a great job.

Second time with them, once at the beginning and again on our last day. Captain James and Mindy were fabulous!! They both were very knowledgeable about the whales. Small enough boat that there was no bad seat. Book with them you will not be disappointed!!

This is hands down the best Whale watching tour we've ever been on. Captain Emma and first mate were friendly, informative and were just as excited as we were to see whales. The boat is extremely comfortable and the whales came a lot closer than with a catamaran tour. If you're in the area look no further than this tour, guarantee you will not regret it.

We did the sunrise whale watching tour with Maui Ocean Adventures and had a truly wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information about the whales and the surrounding ocean, which made the experience even more meaningful. They also kept the trip light, engaging, and fun the entire time, creating a great balance of education and enjoyment. Watching the whales at sunrise was absolutely magical, and the crew made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. My husband and I went on the early morning tour and it was great! We saw so many mommies and baby whales. Very enjoyable and they are very knowledgeable and taught us a lot and answered all the questions!

Great whale watching adventure with Captain Emma and First Mate Reese!!!! Boat was comfortable, roomy, and easy to get on and off and high enough out of the water that my husband didn’t have to worry about his camera getting wet. We got to see the sunrise and tons of whales. The highlights were a) seeing a heat run with at least five male whales fighting for the female, b) having a humpback come up to us and swim right under our boat and c) finishing the trip with a calf breeching multiple times. Reese also put the hydrophone in the water so we could hear the humpbacks sing. Very cool! Going on a whale watch is a must if you are in Maui during the whale watching season and we highly recommend doing your whale watch with Maui Ocean Adventures!!! They are terrific!!!!

This was a great trip from the beginning. Captain Chrissy called 2 days before our trip to reschedule because of the storm coming into Maui - we got rescheduled for Saturday morning with no problems. Captain Emma and Jess were the best. We saw numerous whales and it was amazing. Highly recommend this company!!!

We had an amazing time! Everyone on the boat was super nice. They gave us cool facts about the whales are were able to find tons of whales for us to see! The sunrise was gorgeous to see from the boat coming over the mountains. I highly recommend this experience and to use Maui Ocean Adventures to anyone who wants to do whale watching!
