We had an excellent tour with Ines. Knowledgeable, funny and very friendly. Clear directions on times and what to do and see at every stop. FATIMA was especially moving. Ines is an excellent driver. We covered all the sights with adequate times at each. Ours was a foggy, misty day so the weather was not our friend. Suggest you wear non-skid shoes and bring an umbrella.

As clearly stated on our page we do not accept any cancelations within 24h of the start of the tour. You did not show up for the Tour and you canceled after the 24h period was breeched.

This tour was disappointing, especially since my group and I have taken this tour before and know how rich the history of Fátima, Óbidos, and Nazaré truly is. Unfortunately, the guide felt more like a driver than an actual tour guide. There was very little historical explanation, enthusiasm, or context provided, and many important details were minimized or skipped altogether.
The guide appeared disengaged and made it clear she was a freelancer, which did not inspire confidence. She needs to have training with a real tour guide to know how to present information better. She appeared as someone who is unhappy with her job, like a substitute teacher who resents the class. Please take this as constructive feedback. I am openly not using her name to protect her privacy.
For first time visitors, this is especially unfortunate, as they would leave without understanding the significance of these incredible places. In Nazaré, the focus remained on the beachfront, while the much more meaningful sites above the cliffs, including the lighthouse and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, were not properly highlighted.
Overall, this experience fell far short of what these destinations deserve. These are extraordinary places with rich history and cultural significance. They deserve guides who are knowledgeable, engaged, and passionate. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and ensures a higher standard of guiding in the future.

Tour and guide were ok.
The travel inside small van was very,very, uncomfortable. We were like sardines inside a small can.Traveling for an hour and half was very irritating,unpleasant,can’t move,sardines in a small can
Van used going to sintra was very, very comfortable,can move freely.Same number of people were in each van.

Our guide, Miguel, was amazing!! He was very professional and informative. I was quite impressed with his management of the group, his manner of engaging with each member of the group to make them feel included. He was very considerate of each tour member and made sure each person was comfortable and enjoyed their trip/experience.
The only issue I had on this trip was due to the tour company and their representation of the itinerary. Reading the itinerary, it gave the impression that we would spend 2 1/2 hours in Fatima. There was no indication that this included travel time to the location or included shared time with any other activity. I booked this tour based on that factor. Once at the location, the group was told that we would only be there for 1 1/2 hours. I made the best of it, but was a little disappointed that the company did not uphold their end of the time indicated in the itinerary. Viatour may have pulled a bait and switch with me based on their desire to fill all bookings, even if it meant shifting bookings to other providers with “similar” itineraries. Now, this is NOT the fault of the tour guide, and I do not blame him nor should he be blamed for any of the itinerary misrepresentation. Miguel is awesome.!! He is truly a five star tour guide!!!
We went on to visit the monastery at Batalha. Miguel provided some amazing insight about the location and details about the carvings around the entrance?
We went to the Vista point at Nazare followed by lunch in the town.
We then went to visit the town of Obidos. I was surprised by how much I liked this little town. It was like being transported back in time.
One thing to be aware of, is the starting point and end point of the tour. Some tours start and end in the same spot, but this one ended in a different location. Which meant if you are driving to the starting point, you will have to figure out a way to get back to the starting area. Fortunately for us, we had good weather and it was an easy downhill walk back to the starting area.

Our day began with a smile and greeting from our guide Rafael. His knowledge of Lisbon, Fatima, Batalha, Nazare, Obidos and areas along the drive is directly due to the fact that he grew up here and lives locally. Rafael also graduated a three year program in tourism, which helped us 8 people in the van fully understand everything during our tour. This tour was exactly 9 hours, and it did not disappoint. If you are looking at visiting Fatima (which was the focus of our excursion) this is a tour for you. Our timing allowed us to attend an English Mass, with time to tour the other Fatima highlights. The restaurant lunch recommendation was spot on. The value that we received by taking this tour enabled us to check off many things on our bucket list. Having a very good driver with tremendous knowledge of history was comforting as we did not have to worry or plan anything from the moment we met at our morning meeting point. Thank you for the memories. If you’re having any doubts about booking this excursion, be assured that it is a day very spent!

Fantastic Day Tour with Nuno!
We had an amazing day exploring Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré, and Óbidos with Nuno as our guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of each place we visited. Nuno gave us plenty of time to enjoy each stop, answered all our questions, and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. His storytelling brought the sites to life — from the spiritual atmosphere of Fátima to the breathtaking cliffs of Nazaré and the charming streets of Óbidos.
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day. Highly recommend this tour with Nuno to anyone visiting Portugal!

The stops were very memorable! Our guide Rafa was knowledgeable & friendly.
We were in Fatima on the actual feast day of Our Lady of Fatima.
Obidos was an incredibly quaint medieval fortified city.
We had a delicious traditional Portuguese lunch on a terrace of a local restaurant! We walked a few minutes down to the beach.
