We had never been to Portugal, so this half day tour let us see some of the countryside, including a Templar castle. Patricia was knowledgeable about what we were seeing, and was very competent at handling the van through some narrow, winding roads. She pointed out the cork trees, some of them recently harvested, labeled so the grower knows when they can be done again. The winery was small but with excellent wines for the local markets. No shipping to the US, sadly.

The guide was great, and very accommodating! He had a good relationship with the tour guides at wineries, and was very knowledgeable about the history of the region. We were able to see many things without feeling rushed. Highly recommend!

There was four in our party, the morning half of the trip was very good and the winery we visited was very generous with their sampling.
We ordered a wonderful cheese, very inexpensive to go with our wine. A wonderful experience even at 11 am. The afternoon winery although large and well known served so so samples. Lunch at the fishing village was excellent. Family owned and very reasonable.
Beautiful. I recommend the morning trip only.

This was truly a private tour and we had a great time wine tasting and enjoying a tasty seafood lunch in sesimbre.... Would recommend doing this tour as it takes you off the beaten tourist path and into the local flavor of portugal. Our guide, Gustav, was very lively and had some great stories to share with us as we passed through the country side seeing the various landmarks.

This was an excellent tour. Joana was the perfect guide. She arrived on time, was exceptionally friendly, fun, and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. She had lots of information on both Lisbon and the surrounding area but didn't overwhelm us or make us feel like we were on a school trip. The winery we visited was small and quaint and the wine was very good. We sampled 6 different kinds and these were large pours.. not just a mouthful like you get in Napa and had the opportunity to just relax and chat while we sampled. We also purchased several bottles as the cost especially compared to the US was so cheap! The drive back was relaxing and laid back with some stops for photo ops of some lovely scenery,
