Our guide was knowledgeable and this street art was both pretty and interesting. Knowing about the history of the area, the background of the artists and some of the techniques the artists use makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

Erika did an awesome job with this walking tour. Not only did we get to see a variety of excellent street art in Lisbon, but we also learned a bit about Lisbon history, saw beautiful Lisbon sites, and explored a few different neighborhoods. Erika’s deep knowledge of the artists, enthusiasm for the subject and natural kindness made it feel like we were walking the streets of Lisbon with a friend who happened to be a street art history expert. A tour of the street art in Lisbon includes a lot of history, visits to culturally rich neighbourhoods, city views and architecture, art history references as well as current political social issues in the world. The tour guide did an excellent job of explaining how this artwork is not vandalism but rather a very important genre with conventions, important dialogues and depth of ideas.

The tour was amazing, from beginning to end. The tour guide, Erika, was extremely knowledgeable, and put the "street art" into a social, cultural and historical context. She expanded the concept of street art to include murals, graffiti, and buildings decorated with tiles and enlightenment-era art. I learned so much, and the three hours felt short.

A highlight of my trip! A great way to see the city- our guide was very knowledgeable and super nice. We must have seen more than 3 dozen -or perhaps even more- different street art pieces, and learned a lot about the artists, the way the city allows (or doesn’t allow) for art to stay, the international street art scene, and more- it was really interesting and fun. You’ll be glad you went!

This was a great experience and a great way to see Lisbon in general. Our tour guide ( I've forgotten his name but I want to say Luis?) Was very helpful and patient with the needs of the group, particularly patient with some slightly out of shape, slightly ignorant Americans who had joined the tour. There were well placed stops at scenic locations.
He was clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about the street art scene in Lisbon and further afield in Europe which really helped bring the tour to life.
There are hills, its a lot of walking, but this is a walking tour in the city of Hills so consider this before booking!!

This was a great walking tour and the graffiti we saw was fabulous. Leith, our guide, was so interesting, engaging, gave great insights into what we viewed and was fun. Our guide Lake (sp?) was knowledgeable, funny, and energetic. He engaged with each of us individually and encouraged questions, which he answered in depth.. The selection of street art pieces varied from small tags to a mural on the side of a large building. He explained the context, meaning, and place in history of each piece and the artist who painted it. A street art history class in three hours!

Lait, the tour guide, is well-versed and well spoken about street art and is a street artist himself. He even brought a spray can for participants to try it. You learn the street art meanings and jargon and he relates it all to street art around the world.
