We loved this 3 hour tour. Jordan was delightful and inspiring. His passion for Ketchikan is admiral. The Tongass Forest is beautiful and the hike to the beach thoroughly enjoyable. We never felt rushed at all. Jordan explained alot about the area and we learnt some interesting facts.
He also took us to Potlatch Park to the view the totems and other interesting things there.
Jordan kindly dropped us off at the Creek Street entrance and gave us some info and tips that helped us get the most out of the area.
Thank you Jordan for an amazing morning. Don't ever lose your zest for life.
One of the best tours we've done. Highly recommend this company and Jordan.

We had a beautiful forest and beach walk with our guide Jordan providing commentary on the flora and fauna plus Ketchikan and the surrounding islands. He took to a quiet forest setting with few people which was great! He was very accommodating and initiated an early departure because we were all ready and dropped us back off at our ship. He’s very pleasant, bright and interesting to talk with.

I had a wonderful time on this tour with Jordan as my guide. We went on an awesome hike in the Settlers Cove State Recreation Site. The rainforest there is spectacular and Jordan was super knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna that exists there. We made our way through the forest down to a beach where we saw many sea stars, sea anemones and tiny crabs.
After the hike we visited Potlatch Totem Park and Museum where we saw beautiful totem poles and wood sculptures. The museum part of the park had some interesting antique guns and cars.
The tour was fantastic and I could tell Jordan really loves guiding people through the forest and area around Ketchikan. I highly recommend this tour and Jordan as your guide.

This tour was a highlight of our trip! The day of the tour, there was heavy rain and high winds in Ketchikan, but our guide, Jodan told us that while we would get wet, we would experience none of the annoying effects of rain driven by high winds – the reainforest absorbs all of that. He was right, and we were glad that we braved the elements. Jordan brought the rainforest to life with his explanations of what we were seeing. We even found a mother bear and two cubs in one of the creeks, and the rain and wind stopped for our time on the beach. We highly recommend this tour.

Jordan was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable! Best excursion out of all the ones we did on the Alaska cruise. Ketchikan was our favorite port stop. Wish our stop was longer.

Great hike through the rainforest and to the beach! Our guide, Justin, did a wonderful job of explaining all the fauna and flora we were seeing, and he took lots of photos for us too. We were very lucky to have perfect weather too.

We had a 3 hour excursion through the Tongas Rain Forest in Ketchican. Jordan was our excellent guide! He took us to the north side of the island where the we almost had the place to ourselves. Jordan was a walking encyclopedia about the wildlife, trees, plants and native history. He could not have been any better. It was about a mile walk through a beautiful forest and coastlines. We all had a great experience and highly recommend this excursion.

It was a perfect day for this excursion and the short amount of time we had from the ship. Although, we did not see any wildlife that day, Jordan was very informative about the area and rainforest.
We also had time afterwards to visit the town before returning to the ship.

Our first excursion off the cruise ship and it was the best. Only rainy day on a 14 day cruise but Josh brings the rainforest to life and his genuine love of Alaska is contagious. The hike is not super strenuous and there is plenty of time to look around and explore.

We loved the walk through the rainforest. We were the very first tour and were the only people in the rainforest.
I loved that we felt secluded and not in big crowds. Learned a lot about various trees, frogs, mushroom, berries, etc.

Jordan does an amazing job sharing his passion for the rainforest and ancestrial people with you. His ability to find and point out land and sea creatures as you traverse the forest made the tour more interesting on another level. Sea stars, banana bugs, mushrooms and stories on the life of trees and language they share made the tour fascinating for everyone.

This is a lovely walk through a beautiful rainforest on narrow smooth paths with some boardwalk areas and short flights of wooden stairs. Beach at low tide reveals lots of sea creatures. Our guide, Jason, was knowledgeable and shared his love of the area with enthusiasm. Wonderful experience.

This was such a great experience. We were so lucky to have Jordan, the informative and knowledgeable guide, all to ourselves! He knows so much of local plants, animals and communities and seemed happy to answer any and all of our questions. He even gave us a little souvenir from this wonderful hike. Our guide Jordan was awesome! Super friendly guy and extremely knowledgeable. He is a native to the area and you can tell he really enjoys getting to share the history of the area. He took us to the other side of the island from downtown about a 20 minute drive to hike in the rainforest area. Very pretty nature hike that allowed us to see streams, small waterfalls and the ocean. If you are looking for a non tourist attraction where there are not that many people around, I would highly recommended. We visited in early June 2025.
