We loved this 3 hour tour. Jordan was delightful and inspiring. His passion for Ketchikan is admiral. The Tongass Forest is beautiful and the hike to the beach thoroughly enjoyable. We never felt rushed at all. Jordan explained alot about the area and we learnt some interesting facts.
He also took us to Potlatch Park to the view the totems and other interesting things there.
Jordan kindly dropped us off at the Creek Street entrance and gave us some info and tips that helped us get the most out of the area.
Thank you Jordan for an amazing morning. Don't ever lose your zest for life.

Absolutely enjoyed every moment with Jordan. It was best part of entire cruise. . Rain forest is breathtaking. Reasonably priced, highly recommended. Could use some more time to savor the scenery.
What a great way to spend a few hours with a true nature walk. Jordan is an awesome host. I would highly recommend.
My husband and I were lucky enough to find this company on Viator while cruising to Ketchikan and it was one of the best experiences of our ten day trip!! Jordan is knowledgeable, flexible, and so supportive of our questions and interests! We were blessed to have the tour to ourselves (end of season on a Monday) and it felt like having our own personal guide of the island…. Made my husband and I think about moving up here!! His recommendations were spot on, his passion for the outdoors was palpable and he was just an awesome human!! We got to see a bear up close, salmon, sea lions, hear bald eagles, and learn about the rainforest!! Please do yourself a favor and try this company and this tour; you won’t be disappointed.
Jordan was amazing! If you want an authentic experience he’s your guy. His knowledge of the land is incredible and so interesting. We saw bears up close, sea life and he shared so much. Highly recommend.
This was such a lovely excursion. Jordan was delightful and it was very educational. He took great care of us and is an amazing human. We saw a mama bear and her cub catching salmon, learned a ton about the trees, fauna, and mushrooms. And thoroughly enjoyed the 1 mile hike that was not difficult at all. Well maintained trail with lots of handrails etc.
This was s lovely walk in the woods, there were stairs and rails the whole time, so it was an easy hike. Lots of bear activity in the area but we felt safe, and got to watch a bear fishing8
Our guide, Jordan, was fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable of the flora, fauna, wildlife. We hiked through the forest, saw a magnificent waterfall, learned about the local trees, mushrooms, ate wild berries. We saw a bear fishing in the stream while we were on a bridge. We walked down to the beach and where there was quartz on the shore. This is a great excursion. I would definitely recommend..

Jordan and Lilly were wonderful!!
Very knowledgeable, took thier time explaining the ecosystem.
There were bears in the area. Both were very conscientious about our safety.
We were lucky enough to see a bear eating salmon in the river from a bridge above.
The tour exceeded expectations.

I was very lucky to have Jordan for my personal guide on this excursion. His knowledge of plant and animal life in the rainforest was extensive, and it was readily apparent how eager he was to share that knowledge. He had much information about the medicinal properties of plants in the rainforest. He shared how his spending time in the rainforest with indigenous natives added to his knowledge. I very much enjoyed spending time in this beautiful habitat with someone whose love of the habitat was contagious. We also spent some time on the beach, where we saw marine life. I would strongly recommend this excursion to anyone who enjoys immersing themselves in the beauty of nature.

This is an awesome excursion!! This was my second time this season taking this tour. The temperate rainforest is incredible! It's a beautiful walk, everything is lush and green. It's definitely the freshest air I've ever breathed. Jordan is a great guide. He's very knowledgeable and informative, and he is the owner/operator. He is extremely accommodating! Jordan was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable, patient, entertaining and everything you look for in a guide. Only thing we would want to notate would be that all of the descriptions about it stated it was ‘an easy hike’. Yes, there were stairs…but there were well over 200 stairs and very steep stairs. Two of us had prior injuries and the trail was a bit hard due to it. Just feel the description should mention the stairs more. But Jordan was simply great and patient.

It would be good to include in the description that there are many many stairs on the trail. While walking sticks are available and very helpful, some people might not be up for the amount of stairs.

We do want to clarify that the tour description does explain that this is a hike through the rainforest and is not recommended for travelers with back problems, heart problems, or other serious medical conditions. Hiking poles are also included because the coastal mountain terrain can be steeper and more uneven than some guests may be accustomed to.
Additionally, the presence of stairs and the nature of the trail are addressed in the waiver that all guests are required to read and sign prior to the tour. We certainly understand that the amount of stairs may not be suitable for everyone, and we appreciate your suggestion.

My husband and I went on this tour with Jordan during our Alaskan cruise.
He was very communicative from the day we booked our tour.
He was very organized and answered any questions we had prior and during our tour.
Pick up easy at Ward Cove with very clear instructions from Jordan the day before.
Jordan was very knowledgeable, goes above and beyond where you see he really loves his job.
The rainforest and beach walk was beautiful,
a tour my husband & I would highly recommend if you’re in Ketchikan.
It was my favorite part of our trip!!!

Jordan was an excellent guide, kind, caring and helpful with my mom who had some trouble with the walk due to so many stairs. This should be noted somewhere that there are 100ish stairs and sometimes without railings to hold on. Otherwise it was beautiful and we lucked out with no rain that day. It may have been slippery on the walkways and stairs if it had rained. But we all enjoyed it very much.

Rain Forrest hike is highly recommended. Amazing scenery and informative guide. Were not provided poles and ponchos as represented but the guide’s hiking pole was impressive. Bring your own but the scenery is well worth the cost. Just don’t tell people something is included when it’s not.

We’re a little surprised by your comments regarding the hiking poles and ponchos, as these items are available on every tour. Before each hike, we specifically ask if anyone would like a hiking pole, and we have plenty available in the van. The poles are stored in the rear of the vehicle. We also have ponchos hanging on the backs of the seats and readily available for guests.
On the day of your tour, the weather was bright and sunny with no rain, so we’re also unsure why a poncho would have been necessary during your hike. It’s possible our announcement regarding the available equipment was simply missed, but we certainly do not intentionally advertise equipment that we do not provide.

My sister and I took this excursion Jordan was so knowledgeable smart and made us comfortable in the wild as we went at 7AM and never saw another human tell the end which is nice as many excursions are crowded We have been to Alaska a lot This excursion was amazing you are in The midst of nature breath taking beauty.
