We loved this 3 hour tour. Jordan was delightful and inspiring. His passion for Ketchikan is admiral. The Tongass Forest is beautiful and the hike to the beach thoroughly enjoyable. We never felt rushed at all. Jordan explained alot about the area and we learnt some interesting facts.
He also took us to Potlatch Park to the view the totems and other interesting things there.
Jordan kindly dropped us off at the Creek Street entrance and gave us some info and tips that helped us get the most out of the area.
Thank you Jordan for an amazing morning. Don't ever lose your zest for life.
One of the best tours we've done. Highly recommend this company and Jordan.

The Rainforest hike was the highlight of our trip. Our guide Jordan was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share his knowledge of plants poisonous and edible, and wildlife experiences with us. The beach was very interesting as well and we seen plenty of starfish, slugs, a squirrel and even a frog.

My husband and I were told, at the start of the excursion, that our tour guide was sick and would not be running the tour. Our tour guide was the one to tell us. He drove to the dock but cancelled the tour. Although he texted me the night before to confirm, he did not text us the day of. We were already off the boat and waiting for him. There was no back up plan. The company royally screwed us over. I can’t understand how he was so sick that he couldn’t give us the tour yet he was fine to drive and speak with us. The only reason this gets one star is that he did put in for a reimbursement within the hour. However, we could not get any tour that came close to what we were going to do. It was a terrible way to start our vacation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize that we were unable to provide your tour as scheduled.
On that day, our guide became unexpectedly ill and completely lost his voice, making it impossible to safely and effectively conduct a guided rainforest experience. As a result, we made the difficult decision to cancel all five scheduled tours that day rather than provide a substandard experience to any of our guests.
We attempted to contact you the day before your tour and again on the morning of your scheduled departure. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach you because your phone was unavailable while you were traveling. Wanting to ensure you received the information, our guide personally drove to the cruise docks despite being ill to inform you and your husband in person that the tour had been canceled.
A full refund was promptly issued to your party, as it was for every affected booking that day.
While we understand your disappointment, we respectfully believe this review does not reflect the quality of our tour experience, as the tour itself never took place. We encourage future guests to read our other reviews, which reflect the experiences of travelers who were able to participate in our tours.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by an unexpected illness. We appreciate your understanding and hope that, despite this unfortunate situation, you had a wonderful visit to Alaska and enjoyed the rest of your cruise.

I did this tour with my 75 year old mother and my 7 year old child. The hike through the forest had mostly gentle inclines and declines, and stairs to help with the steeper parts. Our guide, Jordan, was so patient with everyone's physical limitations and used rest stops as an opportunity to teach about our surroundings. He was extremely knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, and history of the area. He pointed out things that I never would have noticed with my untrained eyes - such as the way the ancient cedars nursed new trees or the teeny, tiny orchids along the trail. It really gave me a deeper appreciation for the unique ecosystem in the area. He answered my 7-year-old's (many, many) questions with enthusiasm. We really had a great time on the hike, learned a lot, and saw some truly breathtaking scenery. I would repeat this tour again in the future without hesitation. Thank you, Jordan, for such a fun, memorable experience!

This was a great experience! I ended up with a small group of myself and a another couple. Jordan was super informative and had a ton of knowledge he shared. We had time to walk and stop and talk about things we saw and ask questions. I'm so glad I picked this experience!!

This was a fantastic way to experience the Tongass National Forest and escape some of the crowds in downtown Ketchikan! Jordan did an amazing job of sharing a wealth of knowledge regarding the Ketchican area and the variety of trees/animals to be found in the forest! We learned a TON about the various plants and their uses and identification. We had a super enjoyable time and will definitely come visit again if we come back to the area!

Jordan was very easy to communicate with prior to meeting for the tour. He was friendly + informative during the commute + hike. Really enjoyed this experience & so glad we did it. Our guide, Jordan, was very knowledgeable about the area. The trail was secluded and so beautiful. We were the only ones on the trail and it was so peaceful. I recommend this to anyone, you get away from the crowds at the main docks.

We had an absolutely amazing time going through the rainforest with Jordan. He is extremely knowledgeable, and clearly took joy in sharing that knowledge and his love for this beautiful place. It was not at all crowded despite the perfect weather, and we were able to take in the full beauty of this forest and beach at our leisure. Cannot recommend him and this tour more highly.

Our family enjoyed the tour. Jordan knew the area well and by booking with him rather than the cruise, we got to hike in a less busy area. He picked up right at the cruise ship, even though we parked further than the city and have us the option to be dropped off at the city or the cruise ship on the return. I appreciated that since we wanted to check out the city. Is recommend this tour.

Exceptional experience! Our guide, Jordan, is a great naturalist and was extremely knowledgeable. It was a beautiful walk and the views are spectacular. Jordan was giving us facts and information the entire way. He is very passionate about what he does, and it shows. The trees and plants are amazing! When you take your picture at the beach, it looks too good to be real. It is a great tour for cruise passengers. Jordan is very accommodating and he even allotted us some extra time and took us to the Totem Park on the way back to the ship. A nice unexpected extra!
Wild View Alaska Tours is a local company that is owner operated by Jordan. He does an incredible job! I highly recommend this tour and would definitely do it again.

Jordan is awesome! Super knowledgeable about Ketchikan and the rainforest. If you are looking for beauty in nature, this is your tour. My kids loved learning about the trees, plants, mushrooms, and wildlife. Bonus: Jordan is a small business owner! This is not like the big commercial tours. It felt very personalized.

I can't recommend this tour high enough. Wonderful afternoon with Jordan. He is extremely knowledgeable. On the beach we saw a humpback whale, sea stars and sea urchins. In the forest we saw a Black Tailed Sitka deer. He knew so much regarding the trees, plants, mushrooms, etc. in the forest. And he points out a lot of interesting things about Ketchikan on the drive out there. If you are in Ketchikan you must do this tour!

What a beautiful hike with huge trees, moss, waterfall, coastal water with sea stars and harbor seals. Jordan was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the rainforest forest.

This was great. Very knowledgeable and personable guide, the owner of the company. Learned a lot! He was very generous with wildlife and fauna information. It was a nice small group, a beautiful hike, and we saw a humpback from the beach. We were expecting rain but had some lovely sun. All around a super tour.
