Jody did a great tour for us in Ketchikan. She knows the island well. We saw a black bear and many bald eagles. She got us right back to a great jeweler after some fine salmon and chocolates. I will always look this tour in Ketchikan.

We had a great time with Jodi and were fortunate to have a private tour. Unfortunately we didn’t see any bears but Jodi tried very hard to find them and we did see some eagles and a beautiful waterfall. A very pleasant couple of hours to see and hear about life in Alaska. We really enjoyed it!

We booked this excursion last minute and it turned out to be the highlight of the trip! We loved everything about it - the small size of the group, finding rocks on the beach, stopping to buy smoked salmon from a local stand, and of course seeing bears! Our driver, Pam, was great and you could tell she really loves Ketchikan and getting to show parts of the town to tourists. The snacks, water, and comfort of the van were a bonus as well. We highly recommend this tour!

This was the most fantastic tour. Our driver, Pam, was excellent. She provided a wealth of information about Ketchikan and the people. Speaking from not only the heart, but as a resident. Her knowledge of the are put us on two black bears, two deer, countless eagles and a scenic waterfall.
I was concerned about the time of my tour and called. They were graciously able to accommodate me with an earlier time.
I simply could not give a higher recommendation for this tour.
My sincere thanks and appreciation to the whole operatio n.

Great tour. I was not expecting such a close up encounter with 3 bears. Also enjoyed the eagle show, waterfall and creatures on the beach. Caitlyn was knowledgeable and pleasant as well as a good driver. Highly recommend this experience

LOVED everything about this tour! Watching the bald eagles (at least a dozen) dive for the salmon was awesome. Nice waterfall, too, but the highlight was seeing black bears in the wild!! A mama and 2 cubs! A bucket list item checked off for me! Can’t say enough good things about our tour guide/owner! Went out of her way to track down the bears. Definitely use this company!!

This was an amazing experience. Pam was awesome. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. She wanted to be sure we saw the BEST of her city and we did! This tour did not disappoint. Thanks so much.

This tour was so wonderful! Our family very much enjoyed this tour with Pam. She was so sweet and so kind. Very patient. We went on a bear hunt and found a mama bear and two cubs. Definitely the highlight of our Alaskan trip! Thanks Pam!

It’s low key in a comfortable outdoor setting. The meal was delicious and there was no waiting around for it once we arrived. Our bus driver gave us information about the area on the way.
Anita_D, Jun 2026
Boring bus ride through Ketchikan. Saw a small waterfall and some eagles. Not worth the money paid. Pam was informative and very nice, but again, not worth the money paid.
Donna_M, Jun 2026
Bus driver Pam was very knowledgeable. But was not up to my expectations on what he read that it was that good of a tour. Did not see any bear. Did see bald eagles but someone else fed them so they would come down on the beach. The waterfall was just water comin out of the rocks on the side of the road. Not what I expected at all.

Great local tour. Guide was friendly and really tried hard to find bears for us. Unfortunately they weren’t cooperating

Jody is an absolute pro! She is so knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating and made our day in Ketchikan so so special. Highly recommend!

Kaitlyn was an excellent tour guide, being native to the area she knows everywhere to go to maximize your experience, really great tour for only an hour and a half leaving a lot of extra time to enjoy strolling around Ketchikan, highly recommend!
Eliza_L, Jun 2026
We were disappointed not to see any black bears, but nice to see some bold eagles. The falls we visited were short ones but pretty.
Michelle_B, Jun 2026
Pam, our guide and driver, was a wealth of knowledge and so friendly too. We enjoyed hearing about Ketchikan nature and wildlife.
John_P, Jun 2026
Pam had a lifetime of experience to share and it was a real pleasure to spend the afternoon with her.

Tour Guide was excellent, informative! Hit or miss with wildlife. No bear sightings 😔
She really tried
Rachel_H, Jun 2026
We had the absolute best experience with Pam. We had plenty of time to view eagles and a bear and she told us lots of history of the area. Very comfy van. A highlight of our trip.

Tailored to the group. Jody was exceptional. Exactly what was advertised and more. Shared history of island and native residents. What shaped the town.

Jody was on point - what I really appreciated was a text from her saying exactly where to meet once we were off the ship. She was informative, knowledgeable, professional and knew of some hot spots. We got to see the falls, Eagles being fed fish and the prime bear viewing area. Jody is so experienced and has lived in Alaska for decades. Jody also stopped by a local roadside smoked salmon & jam stand. It was delicious! She is versed in the Tlingit culture and the amazing work and meanings/symbols of the Totems. She gave us extra time so we could see Totems, Creek Street and a beautiful park with a stream where the salmon run. She had us back to the cruise ship on time. Wish we had more time with Jody - she's led a very interesting life of different jobs in Alaska.

It was nice, went out to a beach, some little kids had sea creatures in a baby swimming pool and they were awesome to see!Beautiful waterfall! Pam our guide was wonderful!

Great few hours with the wonderful Jody searching for wildlife. We were the only ones on the tour which made it such a personal experience. So, if nobody else books you've got yourself a personal tour to tailor to what you want to see rather than a big group.
Jody met us on time and asked what we were interested in, then took us around various locations giving us as much time as we wanted at each stop.
We spotted eagles, deer, a little bit of whale activity, waterfalls and the highlight for Australians at least, a bear. While other tour groups were waiting around Herring Cove to spot bears so early in the season, our guide took us around another way closer to their den where spotted a bear sitting in a front yard.
We probably could have spent longer with Jody, she gave great insights into areas, the wildlife and locals (and where to get the best blueberry fudge).
While there are many tours in Ketchikan, we were so grateful to have had Jody as our guide and would 100% recommend. Even at capacity you would still be a small group.

Pam was excellent with our family of 7 age ranges 18-72. She knew exactly where to go to see bald eagles and was full of information on ketchikan! We went to a lot of “look out” spots for great pictures!
Cynthia_H, May 2026
Pam was very generous with her time and knowledge, showing us beautiful locations and wildlife. She actually gave us an extra half hour so we could visit the waterfall site without running into crowds. Very enjoyable trip with lots of great stories from an affable guide. Thanks, Pam!
Courtney_C, May 2026
Jody was a fantastic tour guide and made Ketchikan feel so personal and special. She was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We saw several eagles, deer, a waterfall, and really gained a sense of this unique community. Jody was patient and didn’t rush us through any part of the tour. It didn’t feel like a big corporate tour or money grab, but was highly professional. Would definitely recommend!
Dawn_R, May 2026
Jody is an absolute treasure! She was so kind, patient, and well informed! Jody texted me the day before to make sure I could find her van. When we met, she was cheerful and immediately began giving me Ketchikan’s rich history. She took me to locations to find bears and eagles… and we did! I also got great photo Opportunities! Jody hung around popular spots after large crowds left and arrived early to beat the crowds! It allowed me to take unobstructed pictures which was great! It was a win all the way around. Thank you, Jody!!

We have been to Alaska 14 times and this tour I rank in the top two we have done in all of our trips to Alaska. Pam was very informative and she took us to parts of of Ketchikan we have never been to. We will book again with this company the next time we come up.
Javrild_H, May 2026
Pam was a delightful knowledgeable guide. We had the opportunity to see Ketchikan beyond just the shopping areas. A truly beautiful place.
Devin_M, Apr 2026
Jody was very knowledgable about the island and shared a lot of history with us, including a quick drive through the Saxman village so we could see the totem poles. We saw a lot of bald eagles but no other animals.
