This was an awesome tour! We loved that there were only 4 on our bus so we got to interact quite a bit with our guide Megan. She was awesome and shared lots of information about Ketchikan and herself and how she got there. This is something you won't get in a large group. The tour lived up to our expectations and the online description. We saw multiple bears including 2 babies as well as bald eagles and lots of salmon. We got out at multiple locations including a beach as well as at the totem pole park. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this tour!!

Our guide Teddy was fantastic! He happens to share the same name as my son, so having two Teddies in the car made the trip extra special. Teddy showed us around some wonderful local spots and was kind enough to take photos for our family. It was truly an unforgettable experience in Ketchikan!

Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the area and took us to various spots to view wildlife. Tour length was good since our port time was limited

Great experience! Our tour guide was awesome—friendly, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable about the area’s history. They made the tour both informative and enjoyable, sharing fascinating stories and interesting facts along the way. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable experience!

This was a really good tour! Al was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. We were his last tour and he was determined to find some bears. On our way over we made one last stop at Herring cove and saw a bear and her cub. It made the trip so worth it. I loved seeing the city of Ketchikan and all the eagles. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Very little wildlife. Saw eagles in trees across the street at a stop sign, one bear FAR away. Lauren was wonderful but we didn’t see any other wildlife. Totem pole area felt like an afterthought. Not worth the price.

This was not anything like I expected. We were on and off that bus so many times and we only stayed at a location for about 15- 20 minutes. I felt very rushed and our guide seemed a little irritated with some of the guests. Which made it a very awkward. The communication on the tour could have been better, he did not communicate how long we would be at each stop. He just kind of yelled out. Hey “my group” it’s time to go. Most of the areas were just ‘pull on the side of the road’ and walk up to something and hope to see wildlife. We didn’t see very much wildlife, which is totally fine, you can’t plan that. I mean, if we would have seen wildlife maybe I would’ve been OK with the no communication, the frequent stopping and the lack of time at each location.
I really wish I could get my money back and I would not suggest someone go on this unless you were certain you would see wildlife, especially bears, but that’s impossible!
So save your money and walk through Ketchikan because it is a cute town. I have been a couple of times and so I was fine but our friends had not and I wish they would’ve been able to just enjoy Ketchikan at their own pace.

Tour was easy to find and well organized. We didnt see any bears. Rain is down and salmon are late so bears were hiding but our guide tried twice. We did see deer and alot of eagles up close and stopped at waterfalls and beach for short stops to explore. Time for short walk and photos. Also short visit to totem carving site and salmon ladder. Lets you off to walk around creek street and get back to boat yourself or drops off at beginning. Our guide was native alaskan and had lots of good information. Bus ride comfortable and snacks were fun to try reindeer jerky and smoked salmon.

Absolute waste of money and time. We haven't seen any wildlife since it was a middle of the day, huge traffic of tourists and cars.
Jose_R, Jul 2026
Entertaining, saw a bear cub, salmon and plenty of eagles. Very informative guide and funny. Would highly recommend

Teddy was great . Learned a ton about salmon . Saw a mama bear and cub come out of nowhere and saw baby crying because mom went to eat salmon without him. Incredible .

They had a glitch with our booking but handled it professionally and took great care of us. These people are great

Hal , our guide was very informative and friendly. Unfortunately, the animals didn’t come out to play today , which was somewhat disappointing. The cultural part of the tour was very interesting.
Big thanks to Hal , he tried hard..

We saw very little wildlife. The tour guide kept telling us to "look for whales" while driving 45 mph along the road with trees and only glimpses of the water. We did see salmon swimming up stream and an eagle. The best part of the tour was seeing the totem poles.
Jessica_A, Jul 2026
The tour sounded like the perfect way to see all the big sights in a short time, unfortunately we were disappointed. We were supposed to go to the beach and have a snack provided, neither of those things happened. Our “visit” to creek street was not existent, the guide pointed to it in the distance. If you were lucky enough to be on the right side of the van you got to see the salmon ladder, otherwise you were out of luck. We stopped at the totem pole village for 15 minutes which was just long enough to go to the bathroom and snap a photo. We did see several bald eagles and one bear which was great but this tour did not live up to what was advertised.

Want to thank Caitlyn, went beyond her to provide excellent guidance, demonstrated professionalism, patience and excellent navigation to various sites of interest.
Jolie_M, Jul 2026
Tour was just ok a bit dull.
saw some cool starfish.
Disappointed no bears were spotted
Did not see much wildlife
Cindy_R, Jul 2026
Various sites are not very far from Ketchikan and really enjoyed it. Leo worked very hard to make sure we got to see a bear. He pointed out eagles and other wildlife.
Rondalyn_S, Jul 2026
Leo was awesome! He took us straight to the bears! Saw a male and female fishing for salmon. Great experience, this made my day! I’ve booked other excursions triple this price and didn’t see one bear! Leo knows the best areas to go, , gave us lots of information, along with some history of Alaska.
I highly recommend this excursion, ask for Leo. He will not disappoint!
Craig_M, Jul 2026
Leo was a great guide, patient and was able to help us see a bear.
Clean bus and easy to hear and see, no matter what seat.
Tiffany_R, Jul 2026
Hal was great! He took us to several stops including the beach at low tide, eagle viewing and a bear sighting! He was very knowledgeable about the town and we had a great time! Would highly recommend!
ying_j, Jul 2026
This tour provided much better information about kechikan and we really enjoyed! The driver was very fray d knowledgeable. We got to see some of nature life in varies spot and totem site was very interesting!
Rob_M, Jul 2026
Lauren was an awesome guide! She tried so hard for us to see a bear but the day was too warm. Saw about 10 bald eagles all in one spot, seals, ate wild berries and learned a lot about the area! And she will drop you off wherever you want along the way back to ship. Would highly recommend!!
Kristopher_R, Jul 2026
There is one main stop to see wildlife which you spend 30 minutes at - you need to be lucky to see the bears. You’re looking into a sanctuary which has better views. The other stops were quite random and we pulled up on the side of the road. It didn’t feel like we had entry/admission to anywhere, just pulled up to the side. I’d try another tour next time as this did not feel like a wildlife tour.
Matthew_M, Jul 2026
We had Hal as a tour guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and was eager to share his wealth of knowledge with us. He made this a very rewarding and enjoyable experience!
Jose_S, Jul 2026
Teddy , was a great host , lots of great info for everyone. Fun time saw bear and salmon and plenty of eagles.
tracy_c, Jul 2026
Teddy was a great tour guide! He brought us to where Salmon would be (if there was any). We got to see Bald Eagles, a couple of deer, and a black bear. He also brought us to a beautiful waterfall. I would recommend this tour
MUMTAZ_H, Jul 2026
Honestly speaking the tour guide and the owner were very nice, I just didn’t find it worth it. I thought I wasted my time. I could’ve stayed in the downtown area and would have seen more. We were taken to Totem park(I guess) and just left in the parking lot without mentioning what it is, what can we do there or see. There were tour guides taking the groups and explaining.
Samantha_D, Jul 2026
Very disappointed. For a family of 5, it was an expensive van ride. First the positive. The people were nice, guide was a native and was knowledgeable about the area, and the van was clean and nice. First of all, we didn’t stop at the salmon ladder or rotary beach. So what did we do? We stopped twice at an overlook to try to see a bear. We drove a road to try to spot a bear, had a quick photo stop at a small waterfall, and stopped at the Saxon “village”. FYI: it’s one building, about 10 Totem poles and a gift shop. It’s not their fault the salmon are late and there were no bears, but it was a very boring 2 1/2 hours. Especially for $700.
Sarah_M, Jul 2026
Hal was an amazing guide. He showed us all the great spots and the van we traveled was not overcrowded
Denise_K, Jul 2026
Kaitlyn was amazing! She took us to see (a lot of!) starfish, the beautiful bald eagles, worked very hard to find us a bear, and we saw deer as well. She was full of great historical info, fun Alaska facts, and smart about all things wildlife related! It was a great time!
