This was an awesome tour! We loved that there were only 4 on our bus so we got to interact quite a bit with our guide Megan. She was awesome and shared lots of information about Ketchikan and herself and how she got there. This is something you won't get in a large group. The tour lived up to our expectations and the online description. We saw multiple bears including 2 babies as well as bald eagles and lots of salmon. We got out at multiple locations including a beach as well as at the totem pole park. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this tour!!

Lauren was an awesome guide! She tried so hard for us to see a bear but the day was too warm. Saw about 10 bald eagles all in one spot, seals, ate wild berries and learned a lot about the area! And she will drop you off wherever you want along the way back to ship. Would highly recommend!!

There is one main stop to see wildlife which you spend 30 minutes at - you need to be lucky to see the bears. You’re looking into a sanctuary which has better views. The other stops were quite random and we pulled up on the side of the road. It didn’t feel like we had entry/admission to anywhere, just pulled up to the side. I’d try another tour next time as this did not feel like a wildlife tour.

We had Hal as a tour guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and was eager to share his wealth of knowledge with us. He made this a very rewarding and enjoyable experience!

Teddy , was a great host , lots of great info for everyone. Fun time saw bear and salmon and plenty of eagles.
tracy_c, Jul 2026
Teddy was a great tour guide! He brought us to where Salmon would be (if there was any). We got to see Bald Eagles, a couple of deer, and a black bear. He also brought us to a beautiful waterfall. I would recommend this tour

Honestly speaking the tour guide and the owner were very nice, I just didn’t find it worth it. I thought I wasted my time. I could’ve stayed in the downtown area and would have seen more. We were taken to Totem park(I guess) and just left in the parking lot without mentioning what it is, what can we do there or see. There were tour guides taking the groups and explaining.

Very disappointed. For a family of 5, it was an expensive van ride. First the positive. The people were nice, guide was a native and was knowledgeable about the area, and the van was clean and nice. First of all, we didn’t stop at the salmon ladder or rotary beach. So what did we do? We stopped twice at an overlook to try to see a bear. We drove a road to try to spot a bear, had a quick photo stop at a small waterfall, and stopped at the Saxon “village”. FYI: it’s one building, about 10 Totem poles and a gift shop. It’s not their fault the salmon are late and there were no bears, but it was a very boring 2 1/2 hours. Especially for $700.

Hal was an amazing guide. He showed us all the great spots and the van we traveled was not overcrowded

Kaitlyn was amazing! She took us to see (a lot of!) starfish, the beautiful bald eagles, worked very hard to find us a bear, and we saw deer as well. She was full of great historical info, fun Alaska facts, and smart about all things wildlife related! It was a great time!

The van was crowded which made it hard to see what people were pointing to and it was raining, which it does very often in Ketchikan. Still, the waterfall and lucky enough to watch a bear were great. The totem poles were very interesting. The ride around the area also very interesting.

It was awesome seeing bald eagle, deer and salmon berries. Unfortunately no bears and salmon arrive when they arrive! All bears, bald eagles and fishermen eagerly awaiting them! Ted was an informed and enthusiastic tour guide, mindful of all on the tour. Thanks for an amazing day ❤️ in Ketchikan🤗🎉🇳🇿😘

Great trip! Highly recommend! Be sure to request Leo as your Guide. Very knowledgeable on his native community.

If you get the right guide (we had Teddy) this is a phenomenal experience. He took us to all the right places and gave us time to experience the areas. We were able to see Bears and Seals ..of course we saw Eagles but they are plentiful in Alaska.
Noreen_M, Jul 2026
Leo was a very nice guy and very informative but often didn’t wear his headset so we couldn’t hear him in the back row. We saw plenty of of bald eagles, a beautiful waterfall and even 2 bears which was exciting. We went to the same spot three times looking for bears which I thought was a bit much but in the end we did get to see two bears in that area. I expected more from this tour but overall we were happy

Teddy was a great guide and went above and beyond to get us to the best viewing sites. Enjoyed the small shuttle
ToniMarie_M, Jul 2026
We didn't see any bears. Our tour guide really tried but they just weren't coming out. I think we spent too much time at Herring Cove.

Great tour! Teddy was very informative and funny. Really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend
joy_g, Jun 2026
Leo is an excellent guide born locally and knows his area. That is where the excursion drops off.We saw nothing of the wildlife but a baby bear cub.We saw a waterfall that was very very small and not inspiring and that was the tour.Add a few dollars and look for a better one

The experience was amazing with our guide Jody Hunton she shows us a wonderful wild life I recomend be with her.
Nancy_P, Jun 2026
We were met right on time and hopped into the comfy vans. Our guide (can't remember her name but she is the owner of the company we went with) was full of enthusiasm and information. We went searching for bears in all her favorite spots---didn't see any but we had been warned we might not because the day was so warm. We did see several bald eagles! And learned plenty about the totem poles the town is known for.
Nadav_N, Jun 2026
It's a tourist trap at its best. They took us around town, nothing more. you can literally walk to the salon ladder and see 80% of it. Rest is useless.
Stefanie_M, Jun 2026
Teddy was great. He had a ton of information and told some pretty good jokes. We didn’t see a bear (although he tried hard to find one) but the eagles and salmon were amazing. I’ve never seen so many eagles in one place or see them trying to catch the salmon.
Barb_R, Jun 2026
Great tour and Teddy was fun and knowledgeable and he went out of his way to make sure we saw a bear
Shayler_L, Jun 2026
It was decent tour but not worth the price. You can't control the wildlife but after a few attempts, go to a different place would have been better. Great tour guide though
Jennifer_R, Jun 2026
Ted was a fantastic tour guide! He know where to find the bears and to draw the eagles close and was a bit funny and overall a great experience! I highly recommend it! Even brought us back to our Berth rather than the original pick up at visitor center. Tour is flexible enough to be aware of various persons ship boarding times.
Deborah_P, Jun 2026
This was a great tour of Ketchikan Creek, Saxman Village, Rotary Beach, a waterfall and bear sighting. Our guide was great!
Nancy_K, Jun 2026
Overall, we felt fortunate to see black bear, cub, eagles, black tail deer and other wildlife on this tour. Too early in the season to see salmon. The tour met our expectations.
James_W, Jun 2026
Very nice tour with accommodating host. While many cruise ships dock right in Ketchikan, our NCL ship docked 20 minutes away in Ward Cove and we missed our appointed tour. The tour operator was kind enough to let us take a later tour.
Marjorie_K, Jun 2026
It was very organized. Teddy our tour guide was full of information. We learned a lot about Ketchikan . He was very knowledgeable and tried so hard to enable us to see wildlife. He was so focused that we finally did see a bear. We saw lots of eagles as well. We saw a little bit of the rainforest and beautiful gardens, totem, poles, and waterfalls..
