Great food. Enjoyed dessert. Not a long walk. Beautiful day. Guide was very knowledgeable about the city of Denver and the food.

A beautiful day, great food, a light walk, and a delicious dessert sounds like the perfect afternoon. We're glad our guide could add some great city insights and history to your day!

Fun, Food and a Little Bit of History!

Response from Host, Jul 2026

It's wonderful to hear that you had such a great time with Barry! Marco’s Coal Fired Pizzeria is definitely a crowd favorite on this route, and we're glad you enjoyed learning about our local neighborhoods and historic buildings.

Food and guide quality overcame environment

David_P, Jun 2026
Our guide was excellent. Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Denver is a shadow of what it was. The streets and sidewalks are filthy. The area smells like piss and there’s drug addicts and bums everywhere. Saw a guy with no pants and a guy with half a foot that might have been dead. Other than that the food was delicious. 5/10 would recommend.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for joining us and for sharing your feedback, David. We’re so glad to hear that your guide was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, and that you enjoyed the food along the way. We’re sorry to hear that the surrounding downtown environment affected your overall experience. Like many cities, Denver is still working through visible urban challenges, and we understand how that can impact a guest’s impression. We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective and are grateful you chose to spend part of your visit with us.

Nice collection of food...

James_G, Jun 2026
Nice collection of food venues. All food selections were very tasty! Michael shared many interesting insights about the various foods and venues.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Michael loves peeling back the layers on our partner kitchens, so hearing that his culinary insights hit the mark is fantastic. Those curated Downtown dishes are chosen specifically to showcase the best of our local food scene, and we are thrilled you found every bite tasty.

Great customer service

Arienne_H, Jun 2026
I needed to cancel due to extreme heat, and they were very understanding and supportive. I was able to get my money back right away. Thank you and when I’m back in town I will rebook!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Mother Nature definitely turned up the thermostat, but your comfort will always come before a tour schedule. We were happy to get that refund processed instantly so you could focus on staying cool. Whenever you make it back to Denver under friendlier skies, we will have a spot on the route waiting for you.

Great food, great tour, great guide!

Sally_S, Jun 2026
The food was great and our tour guide Ann did a great job giving the history on why certain foods are local to Denver.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Ann has a genuine gift for weaving Denver's rich history directly into the flavors on your plate. Diving into our local food scene is always better when you understand the roots of what you're eating. We appreciate you spending the day with us and are glad the entire experience hit a high note.

Mary_C, Jun 2026
Dee was a great guide and clearly loves food! She was fun and knowledgeable too! Food stops were very interesting choices. I really didn’t care for the pork belly taco, a little too exotic for a big group.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dee’s food passion is wildly contagious, though we certainly appreciate your honest note regarding the pork belly taco variant. While we love bringing adventurous flavors from innovative kitchens to the table, formatting the menu to keep a big group uniform yet thrilled is a balance we’re always fine-tuning.

Dawn_F, Jun 2026
Barry was an excellent guide! We really enjoyed soaking in the history and factoids! He’s so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was all excellent too. Highly recommend this tour!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Barry is an absolute expert at making historical factoids go down as smoothly as our favorite local dishes. We are so happy his warm demeanor turned your afternoon stroll into a complete highlight of your time in the city.

Don’t eat a big breakfast...

Anne_M, Jun 2026
Don’t eat a big breakfast before you go! Learned about the Lower Downtown area, including Coors Field and the Dairy Block.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Skipping breakfast is an elite insider tip for tackling our LoDo routes, especially when the itinerary snakes past the Dairy Block gems. We’re so glad you enjoyed soaking up the neighborhood history right in the city's historic core.

Michael is amazing! He is very knowledgable of history and the food scene. He also gave great suggestions of restaurants at the end!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Michael is a master at delivering a premium city overview, and his custom concierge recommendations at the end are designed to fuel the rest of your vacation. We love pointing our guests toward our absolute favorite neighborhood spots.

Excellent food tour with Michael! All the food was tasty. We enjoyed learning a little about Denver history and the local food scene.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Michael loves proving that the history of a city is best understood through what's being served on its plates. We are delighted that you found our downtown walk both highly educational and uniformly delicious.

Daria_P, Jun 2026
The food selections were all very good and exemplified the restaurant experiences that are available in a diverse city. Not only was the food very good but it was substantial. Our guide was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and attentive to the group's needs.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Our local restaurant partners pride themselves on serving up substantial, chef-driven portions that display the magnificent diversity of Denver's food culture. We'll pass your warm words along to your guide, who loves keeping the group’s pacing perfectly attentive.

Great tour guide Di. Very friendly.Easy to talk to. We were able to change food choice if you didn't like what was provided online

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Di prides herself on being an absolute breeze to talk to, ensuring our guests feel like accommodated VIPs from start to finish. We love making seamless adjustments behind the scenes so that every single person leaves our tables completely full and satisfied.

Great food

Susan_N, Jun 2026
Great food while learning about Denver culture and history. Pizza was my favorite, will probably go back to Marcos.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Marco’s Coal Fired Pizzeria has a funny habit of turning first-time guests into permanent regulars with that authentic crust. Strolling through our city's culture while saving room for a slice is our favorite way to explore the neighborhood.

Jena, Jun 2026
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we would highly recommend him. The first two tastings were amazing. The third one was changed last minute and not very good. The sliders were average and the dessert was very good.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you so much for joining us and for sharing this helpful feedback. We’re so glad to hear that your guide was knowledgeable and that you’d highly recommend him. We’re also happy the first two tastings and dessert were highlights, but we’re sorry that the last-minute change and sliders didn’t meet the same standard. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. Feedback like this helps us keep a close eye on our restaurant partners and the overall flow of the tour. Thanks again for spending part of your day eating your way through Denver with us.

Good food, but more history please

Kelley_F, Jun 2026
The lineup for this tour is great, but the execution did not meet expectations. We learned very little about the city either presently or historically. Our guide was lovely, but not not strong in this department. Without much to share, there was too much down time at each location. Also, we were disappointed we didn't not get to see the Oxford Hotel as mentioned in the description.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for joining us and for taking the time to share this thoughtful feedback, Kelley! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the food lineup, but we’re sorry the tour didn’t deliver the depth of Denver history and storytelling you were expecting. That’s an important part of our Downtown Denver Food Tour, and we appreciate you flagging that the balance felt off. We’re also sorry you didn’t get to see the Oxford Hotel as expected. While routes can occasionally shift based on timing, restaurant flow, or access, we understand how disappointing it is when a stop mentioned in the description isn’t included. We’ll use your comments to coach our guide team and tighten the guest experience, especially around storytelling, pacing, and setting expectations. Thank you again for the helpful feedback!

Great food, great drinks,...

Dan_I, Jun 2026
Great food, great drinks, and great company… everything was pretty close so it wasn’t too much walking and you actually get to know the other travelers with you

Response from Host, Jun 2026

That is exactly what we call our "Social Rotation" framework in action—the short walks between our five partner spots mean you are never trapped sitting next to the same person for three hours. We love that you enjoyed the craft drink pairings, the close-knit neighborhood setup, and the chance to actually trade travel stories with a great group of fellow foodies.

Awesome food.

Idylle_P, Jun 2026
Austin is organized and knowledgeable. Be prepared to walk. Eat a very light breakfast before so you can enjoy the food.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for the review, Idylle! Austin always keeps things perfectly organized and informative. You gave the absolute best advice—arriving with a light breakfast and comfy walking shoes is the ultimate recipe for food tour success!

Austin and the Downtown Denver Food Tour

Angelo_C, Jun 2026
Our tour guide, Austin Shrader, did a marvelous job. Not only did he give a description of the history of each restaurant that we visited, he also told us about the history of Denver and how development has occurred over the last 40 years.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback, Angelo! We are so proud to have Austin on our team. It’s fantastic to hear that his deep dive into Denver’s 40-year development and restaurant history added so much value to your tour.

LaDawn_F, Jun 2026
This tour was so incredible. We learned very interesting things about downtown Denver, and every spot we stopped for food was delicious. Absolutely love our guide, he was very engaged, friendly and knew so much about everything from food to hot spots for entertainment. I think he should be my best friend so I can experience what he knows about everything Denver. Thank you!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

What a stellar review, LaDawn! We love that you wanted to become best friends with your guide—that's the ultimate compliment to his energy and local entertainment knowledge! We're thrilled every single food stop hit the mark for you.

Carissa_W, Jun 2026
I would recommend doing this food tour the first day of your vacation, so you have time to eat at the places you try on the tour or that Barry recommends.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you, Carissa! We highly second this advice. Booking Barry's tour at the very start of your vacation is the perfect way to build your Denver culinary game plan. We hope you got to revisit some of your favorites!

Appreciated the history...

Ron_S, Jun 2026
Appreciated the history lesson along with the great food. Anne was an excellent host. Hope you like pork!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, Ron! It’s wonderful to hear that Anne took such good care of you and kept you both well-fed and entertained with Denver's history.

Awesome foodie tour!

Emmanuel_M, Jun 2026
Both the food and wealth of information were great! Barry is very personable and full of Denver and global foodie knowledge. All 5 of the locations were delicious, unique, and notable on a city or global scale. The tour, though concentrated to specific area of Denver, felt like we walked through 4 different neighborhoods. I learned a ton. Definitely recommend; I know Barry has a few extra options as well, so make sure to check out which works best for you.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for the fantastic review, Emmanuel! We're thrilled to hear that Barry's blend of local and global foodie knowledge made such an impression. It's awesome that the tour felt like a journey through multiple distinct neighborhoods, and we're so glad you found every stop unique and notable. Come back and see us next time you're in town!

Great!!

Lori_V, May 2026
This tour was great. Do it when you first arrive in Denver so you can plan out the best places to eat for the rest of your trip.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you, Lori! That is the ultimate pro-tip—taking a food tour right when you arrive is the absolute best way to map out your dining strategy for the rest of your vacation. We're glad we could kick off your Denver trip on a high note!

Manivanh_B, May 2026
Highly recommend if it’s your first time in Denver. Anne our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and the food choices and portions were perfect.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you, Manivanh! We love being the first stop for visitors exploring Denver. It's wonderful to know that Anne took great care of you and that the food portions were just right

Great experience

Sallie_N, May 2026
This was our first food tour ever and we definitely will be doing more! Eva our guide was awesome! She shared so much information about food places and all of the food was delicious! She was also very accommodating to special walking needs for me. She was fun and energetic. Well done!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

What a fantastic review, Sallie! We're so proud of Eva for ensuring everyone in your group felt accommodated, comfortable, and energized. It's wonderful to hear that we've officially hooked you on the food tour concept—we hope it's the first of many for you!

Great walking tour and food samplings!

Jennifer_M, May 2026
This tour was great! Even as a solo traveler, I felt really comfortable with the group, and the guide, Austin, was really personable, knowledgeable, and didn't put any pressure on us to rush. The 5 spots were well chosen for variety and everything was really high quality. And filling! Definitely come hungry. The extra little bits of history and trivia and food halls during the walking tour were neat additions and I was glad to see some sights I want to follow up on again later. Would definitely do another food tour.

Response from Host, May 2026

Being a solo traveler can be a roll of the dice, so we are especially happy to hear that Austin made you feel right at home with the group! It’s great that you enjoyed the "no-rush" pace and found some new spots to circle back to later. We’ll be waiting for you when you're ready for your next tour!

Fun food tour!

Ryan_J, May 2026
Great experiences and cool way to not only see downtown but to also learn about the city. I’d do this every time I go to Denver, although I probably enjoyed myself a little too much with the drinks.

Response from Host, May 2026

"Enjoying yourself a little too much" is usually the sign of a successful afternoon in Denver! We are so glad the drinks and the downtown sights made such an impression. We'd love to host you every time you’re in town—just maybe keep an eye on those delicious cocktails next time!
