Unlocking the grand stories of Colorado history while stopping for premium bites along the 16th Street corridor is Austin’s absolute specialty. We're glad his friendly expertise made your morning trek both incredibly informative and exceptionally tasty.

Very knowledgeable & food selection was great. I'm sure those were places that we probably would not have found on our own.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you, Lakeisha! That is exactly what we aim for—introducing our guests to those incredible, hidden-gem spots that you might completely miss on your own. We're so glad you loved the food selection!

We loved this tour! Our guide Austin was friendly and helpful. He was able to weave the historical, architectural, cultural and current affairs of Denver into an interesting presentation. Humorous stories about Austin’s past experiences as a tour guide were also quite engaging. The empanadas from Lozo were the very best food option out of the restaurants we visited. While Denver has many beautiful buildings, our favorite was the Brown Palace at the start of the tour. This was an excellent travel experience for our group.

Austin is truly a master at weaving all those different threads together to give you a full picture of Denver's heartbeat! We’re so glad his "tour guide tales" and deep dive into our architecture—especially the iconic Brown Palace—made for such an engaging presentation. It sounds like those Maria Empanada bites were the star of the show for your group! Thank you for joining us for such an excellent travel experience.

Really interesting tour—learned tons of new info about Denver. Enjoyed meeting the other folks on the tour, too—locals and visitors alike. Foodies are almost always fun folks.

Austin was outstanding in his knowledge of the history of the food industry including trends over time in the context of other historical events and trends. It was surprising to learn how many restaurant chains and trends started in Denver.
The food selections were very good. The excellent buffalo chile was very similar to the beef empanada and the toast with the burrata was not as crispy or flavorful as we’d have hoped. The muffin was outstanding although having the sweet first and while walking was a surprise. But really a worthwhile tour we enjoyed.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Appreciate the thoughtful review, Roy! Austin really knows his stuff—Denver’s influence on food trends is bigger than most people think! Thanks for choosing our 16th Street Food Tour to explore the city's culinary roots.
