Very friendly at the agency. Everything was arranged quickly and easily. Instructions were accurate. Location very close.

Outstanding tour! The Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s are breathtakingly beautiful and certainly must-sees. Silvio was able to share very interesting insights as he led our group. One couple was late arriving, and one of the employees personally brought them over to meet up with our group.
The earphones seemed a little large, so they would fall off easily, especially when we’d look up at the ceilings, but that was a minor annoyance.
Highly recommend this tour!

There is so much to see. It was crowded and there is only one exit from the building which forces you to follow a specific route. Don’t be in a hurry while visiting.

Very busy. Give yourself at least 3 hours. Pre book tickets a must. The museums are a bit of a maze and hard to know where you are going. Lots of diif displays from Egyptian, African, Roman, Religious. Book tickets and go on time schedule. Early gets turned back.

I will never book with them again nor do I recommend booking as the customer service was very poor. We had an unpleasant experience with this service. I messaged the operator in advance to get details about where to meet, and did not receive a response via messaging nor phone call. Once we asked several people in front of the Vatican they pointed us in the right direction, but the companies name is completely different on the outside than what is on Viator and the address was incorrect as well so it took a while to find them. Once we found them and tried to explain the situation they kept rushing us and didn’t address our concerns as it was two back to back tours.

The Local Tour Operator changed Tour guide to much earlier time which was unsuitable. Didn't offer an alternative. Am hoping to get full refund as a result.

Was go glad we got the skip the line tickets! The line in order to buy the tickets was enormous and would have taken hours to get tickets! This is definitely a time saver!!!

Your access to tickets and bombardment of emails is a nightmare! Please simplify system, send tickets when activity is bought. Make instructions clear!
Helen_B, Apr 2026
I was emailed the night before my booked tour to say that my booking time had been changed due to availability. As I was flying home that day it meant we were then going to be rushed to get round in time.
On arriving at the Vatican we were told that as our tour time had been changed the tour would be in Italian and there were no English guides available. The guide recommended we just go it alone as there were no other options.
Therefore we were not only rushed for time, we had no guide and just shuffled through not really knowing the significance of what we were seeing.
Thoroughly disappointing all round. Would not recommend. I paid £122 for 2 tickets and have been told there will be no refund due as ‘the operator has not approved it.’
Thoroughly disappointing - would not book with this company again. AVOID

Terrible experience with Viator and woulf NOT recommend BOOKING THROUGH THEM. Booked the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel guided tour.
We Received a booking confirmation email and location to meet the guide. Arrived 1 hour before your just like email said. At the entry location from email, the security guard said we did not have a ticket. We Called the Viator number and they gave us a different location to go and GET THE TICKETs FROM, WHICH WAS NOT CLOSE THE THE ENTRY location WHERE THE EMAIL INSTRUCTIONS SAID TO REPORT TO. WE never received a confirmation email with Tour Guide name or other information.
After walking back to get the ticket, waiting in security line, and getting to the meeting spot the TOUR GUIDE HAD ALREADY DEPARTED!
Missed the tour completely and had no one to show us around. We left immediately and contacted VIATOR. they blamed the THIRD PARTY TOUR company for poor email instructions and says there is nothing they can do!
Zero STARS for this terrible Viator company. Will never use them again anywhere in the world.

Given the anticipated high attendance, the tour should incorporate additional exhibitions that focus on detailed data within a limited number of displays.
Headphones need to be improved
Falling off most of the tour

Very straightforward and easy. Tickets were sent over WhatsApp the day before with clear instructions.

Ultimately we got in and toured so I can’t give only 1 star. I woke up on the morning of our reservation to a notification that moved our entry from 9:30am to 9am which may not sound like a big deal but when traveling in a group and coordinating it was a bit of a scramble. We were told to meet at the office so we walked past the entrance to the Vatican only to have someone hand us a printed ticket at the that could have been emailed, then we had to turn around and walk back from where we came from (all a half hour earlier, on short notice). There was no one who walked us up to the entrance as explained in the tour description. This was just an overpriced and inconvenient way to get skip the line passes. Would not recommend.

The Vatican museums are amazing, but I would not recommend using Viator to provide tickets and I will never use them again. They stuffed me up twice on my recent visit to Rome, by not providing the tickets that I had purchased, and on each occasion they gave less than 24 hours notice.

A breathtaking journey through art, history, and masterpieces—crowded but absolutely unforgettable experience
Natalie_J, Apr 2026
Museum was fabulous but the ‘skip the line tickets’ were just tickets like everyone else with tickets had. The person that was supposed to help us into the correct queue never materialised. We picked the tickets up from a shop, they were supposed to be for 5pm but were for 4:30 instead, no explanation given as to why that was. We found our way to the queue without assistance.

This was a very nice tour. You pickup your tickets from the provider and go to the entrance where you wait about 5-10 minutes. Then you go get your tour information, get assigned a tour guide and go on your tour. The guided tour is a awesome experience.
Joe_L, Apr 2026
It’s incredible. Seeing that many masterpieces is overwhelming. You could spend a few days to a week there.
Dorothy_M, Apr 2026
Great to skip queues. All
Went smoothly. Communication good. Happy with two teenagers. All as stated.
Giovanni_L, Apr 2026
The tour was informative and helpful, very clear information and gave time to take pictures. Didn’t have to wait on a line.
Jennifer_G, Mar 2026
I bought this pass because the Vatican online tickets to skip the line were sold out. The line to buy tickets wasn't too long at 10 am on Friday, but I don't know how much time it took for people to get in.
The Vatican Museums are huge and gorgeous. Absolutely worth the visit. Going earlier in the day is definitely better for crowds, but even at 8 am the train from Termini was packed. Consider your transit options!
A few of the museums can be explored independently, at your leisure. If you want to see the Sistine Chapel, you have to follow a prescribed path through several of the other museums. The path I chose took me about 90 minutes and the Sistine Chapel was at the very end. Don't rush through the Sistine Chapel. If you can, find a seat and enjoy the experience. No photos though!
If you want to visit St Peters Basilica, you have to leave the Vatican Museums and go around to a separate entrance. You can get skip-the-line tickets for the Basilica online for 7 euro on the day of your visit. Don't let the sales people at the entrance bully you into paying 25 euro!
Jing_N, Mar 2026
It still has very long queue, not skip the line at all. I would not recommend anymore, as it doesn’t match what it says in the description.
Kaisa_M, Mar 2026
Very nice, person will guide you into the museum and we had great experience with no enormous lines.
Johnie_F, Mar 2026
Unforgettable experience.the place is unbelievable ,hoping to comeback someday..the whole experience was great
Samuel_O, Mar 2026
Jump the queue to the extreme……. Our guide who got us to the front of the queue was amazing. Literally straight to the front. Would definitely recommend.
Diane_S, Mar 2026
Definitely need skip the line tickets! The company we worked with was amazing - calling to mae sure we could find everything correctly. The lines at the museums are long and confusing. Don’t be afraid to show your ticket and ask questions! We thought we booked a tour, and found out we did not. We used chatGPT to guide us through to make sure we saw the most important works of art. Even then we spent two hours in the museums! Plan a full day when you choose Vatican City. There are long lines and much to see!
Dorothy_L, Mar 2026
Ticket office was easy to find and staff very helpful. It all went very smoothly. We made our in at the alloted time.
Benedicte_M, Apr 2026
Cut girl very nice but the service stops there. We were obliged to take the audio-guides at an extra cost as the planned visit was in Italian.

Very good organization, Lucia, the attendant is at the top, her explanations are clear and animated

Too expensive! The tickets would have cost only 140 euros without the agency. The agency takes over 100 euros extra for the placement. The museum was great.
