Fantastic Tour of the Met
Our tour was great and our guide Robin was truly exceptional -one of the best museum guides I’ve ever experienced. Her background as an academic and former museum curator was immediately evident in the depth and clarity of her storytelling, but what made the tour unforgettable was how engaging and accessible she made everything.
She didn’t just point out artwork- she brought it to life. Robin seamlessly wove together the history of each piece, its provenance, who donated it, and the broader cultural and historical context. She connected artists to their contemporaries, explained how styles evolved across periods, and made insightful comparisons that helped us actually see the differences between movements.
As we moved through the American, European,Medieval, Renaissance, and Egyptian collections, she struck the perfect balance between highlighting the “must-see” masterpieces and introducing us to lesser-known works that were just as fascinating. She also gave us a global perspective, pointing out where other major works by the same artists are housed around the world, which added a whole new dimension to the experience.
On top of that, her knowledge of the history of the Met itself added another rich layer to the tour.

Our Central Park pedicab tour with Viator was fantastic from start to finish!
Our guide was excellent—effortlessly blending comedy with deep knowledge of Central Park’s history, landmarks, and movie spots, which kept us entertained and engaged the entire time. He pointed out highlights along the way, shared fun stories, and was happy to stop for photos so we could really enjoy the scenery. The weather could not have been more perfect at around 70 degrees and sunny, which made riding through the park feel relaxing and comfortable. The whole experience was smooth, well organized, and such an enjoyable way to see Central Park that I would absolutely book this tour again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York City. Our flight was delayed on the original day we had scheduled the tour and it was very easy to reschedule the tour to the next day.

Our tour was led by Kevin of New York Historical Tours. Meet up outside of the museum was easy and communication was excellent. Kevin was very knowledgeable and the 2 hour tour was delightful, touching on highlights of the museum collections and given our family great insights on how to spend more time at the museum after the tour.

Nothing like a clip-clop through Central Park
Fred was fantastic. We got a great historical overview of the area and he pointed out several spots from famous film scenes. There's nothing like a carriage ride through Central Park, even in the freezing cold – and my god it was cold – and nobody better than Fred to conduct it. Highly recommend!
