- Children age 5 and under are free with accompanying paid adult
- Dress appropriately to avoid unwanted exposure on glass and mirrored floors. We recommend wearing pants, shorts or tights when possible.
- Wear comfortable shoes. Stiletto heels, steel toe boots, sports cleats and other footwear that can damage mirrored flooring are not permitted.
- Outside food and beverage, smoking or e-cigarettes, large packages, suitcases, or weapons of any kind will not be permitted beyond the security checkpoint.
- There is no storage for person items. Large bags, large backpacks and luggage are not permitted.
- All SUMMIT tickets are timed. You MUST arrive at your scheduled time, which is indicated on your ticket. SUMMIT operates at full capacity. You might not be able to get in if arriving more than 20 minutes after the time indicated on your ticket. Any late arrival is subject to availability and a rescheduling fee from $25.00

We visited the Vanderbilt Summit while in New York and really enjoyed the experience. It was a fun and unique attraction with great views of the city. The exhibits were cool and it was definitely something different to do while visiting. I would recommend other travelers check it out if they’re in New York. I’d give it a solid four stars overall.

Very clean and organized, staff was very helpful when my other half and I was navigating the elevators. My 1 y/o daughter loved everything. She couldn’t get enough of the rooms of mirrors and the ball room. Very stroller friendly as some attractions make you leave your stroller at the door.

Well worth the price but we went at night and it was amazing with all the lights from the buildings! Highly recommend this attraction and what’s great is that you view each floor at your own pace.

The building and the scenery looking out along with taking pictures were beautiful even if it was cloudy outside. By the time we made it to the third level it was clearer. Playing with the silver balloons were spectacular.

The event should have been canceled. You could not see anything there was nothing to view. It was so cloudy and a total waste of money also time.

We went in the afternoon at 11am and the sun was kissing us. It wasn't crowded like I thought it would be. Staff was amazing and helpful. Definitely a must do. Was worth the money! I would like to bring my children back so they can experience The Summit!

We were late to our scheduled time. We were told to go to the desk. We waited a while at the desk & were then told we needed to pay $10 extra per ticket. They said it was because we were over an hour late. It was just a few minutes over an hour . We waited at least 30 min in the desk line. It’s strange that they would charge considering once you go in to your appointed time- you aren’t asked to leave at a specific time. So it somewhat just seemed like a money grab.

It took 40 minutes in line before being able to view the museum and 30 minutes to exit. It seemed that the museum was overpacked this day. I didn’t enjoy this experience

I had visited the Vanderbilt in the summer and wanted to show my son the spectacular views during his first visit to New York. I flew in to New York in the afternoon - so was unaware of the poor visibility. I assumed because the experience was open the views must still be ok.
After making our way uptown and going through security checks etc etc we reached the top.
It was an utter white out and you could not see a single thing. It was like white black out curtains surrounded the building.
How the Vanderbilt can operate in such weather conditions in good faith and not explain what it's like at the top to visitors astonishes me.
We felt like we had wasted our evening and felt utterly scammed.
I am sure there are all sorts of warnings with the ticket - so technically they have the right to open and not inform customers - but in real terms we felt utterly scammed.
My advice - check ahead and look at the weather forecast - if it's cloudy/misty/rainy- cancel. You get a full refund and can book for a better night.
Don't, in good faith, assume the event would do the right thing and let you know at the entrance that you can't see a thing as they don't.
So disappointing and leaves a really bad taste in your mouth.

A slight trigger to the vertigo but I managed. Mirrors, glass floors and silver balloons.. Do go!

I was visiting from out of town and met a friend who lives in the city to go to the Summit with. The staff was the best especially Samuel M, who was very very helpful and informative. I can tell they take their jobs seriously. It made the experience so enjoyable. I can’t wait to take my family when we are in the city the next time.
