This Marian pilgrimage center evokes the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children, Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta, which occurred in 1917 and were recognized in 1930. The Menu publisher was a rural property called Cova da Iria, belonging to Lucia's parents, who donated it to the sanctuary. Five of the six apparitions took place here. Great sights, great value!

This was a great guided tour experience for tourists who want to see a lot of sights but who don’t wander to handle the logistics of transportation, tickets, etc. Our tour guide Gelao was very funny and engaging, and he also provided a lot of historical information along the way. The actual sights we visited (Sintra, Regaleira, Peña palace, Cascais) were all wonderful and it was a well-curated tour. Highly recommend as a great value-for-money day trip!

Fantastic tour

Fun in the Rsin

Palace of Pena was very interesting to all of us six travelers (3 couples unknown to one another) from various areas in USA. It was nice in downtown Lisbon, but started to rain hard when we neared palace; fortunately our driver was equipped with umbrellas for our use. Tickets for admission were purchased at kiosk at base of steep hill to palace and we added optional bus tickets as spouse was unsteady that day. We did not know that admission to inside of most of palace was not included and id purchased at palace itself for sn additional fee for each of us. Both our guide and driver were very courteous and knowledgeable re: the area and provided all of us with lots of useful information. On our return to van parking area, we found out that a bus had crashed into a wall (no injuries) and was blocking the downhill roadway. Local police re-routed traffic downhill after a wait of >1 Hour. We then drove to Sintra at bottom of hill and had >1 hour to visit this little town shopping area and restaurants.

Great boat experience!

It was a great experience of an hour boat tour. The ride was amazing. The people were friendly and welcoming. We missed our first tour due to flight delays. Fortunately, this company rebooked us for another time and it worked out really well. Don’t expect anyone to do the history brief for you. There is a QR code in different languages that you can select from and it will tell you about all the sights you’ll be passing by. If you want a relaxing boat experience for an hour this is the best tour for you. We booked the 10:30AM and there was not a lot of people and there was enough room for everyone. By the way, it was a bit windy but sunny and warm during that time.

This has been a fabulous day. Paulo is an incredible guide whose passion and love of history mean he is a joy to listen to. It is a long day but the breaks are well spaced and the trip has been well worth it. Definitely a great experience. No doubt many will snooze on the bus now that we are on our way home.

It required a lot of walking, but our tour guide was careful to work in necessary breaks with traditional Portuguese treats along the way. Amazing Lisbon to Sintra Day Trip with Emilio & Co!

Emilio and team were great guides and great fun ☺️! The Pena, Regaleira, Cabo Roca Coast and Cascais sights were amazing with the warm weather and the timings for each tour were just right. Comfy and informative bus ride back and forth to Lisbon. Tip: To travelers taking the trips to Pena and especially Regaleria please note the terrain requires some medium to heavy incline walking during the given window, so be aware of your health limits. The coast and coastal city of Cascias are just picturesque and sweeping views. We definitely recommend this team, they were great! Here's to Portugal and Ronaldo 😜!

Nice Tour

Firs thing, this is not a private tour but a shared tour with a group in a bus. It was a great experience despite the weather. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure we had enough time in all our stops and ensured everyone enjoyed. Few things to note : there is a LOT of walking. The food options for vegetarians are very limited in Sintra. For Pena Palace, skip the interior unless you really want to visit it. The "gardens" are a walk to the Palace.
