We thought we had signed up for a GUIDED tour of the monuments at night- we were provided a very nice driver and a lovely vehicle but he was NOT trained to give us any information- so we resorted to “google” for our information about the sites we visited.
Do NOT be fooled by the ad which says “Each stop is not just a visit but an experience, enriched with stories and insights provided by your knowledgeable personal guide.” It was a very expensive car ride with a nice driver!

The private tour is designed as a private luxury transportation experience with a professional chauffeur, rather than a licensed tour-guide service. While our drivers are highly experienced and knowledgeable about Washington, DC, they are not trained or permitted to provide formal historical narration. This distinction is noted on the Viator product page, where it says tour guide is excluded; however, we sincerely apologize that part of the description led you to expect a fully guided tour.

When I purchased this excursion, it said guided tour. Then the day of the excursion, I received a text saying he was only a driver. It was very disappointing when we paid a lot of money and didn’t get what we paid for. I think the driver tried to point out some buildings, but he wasn’t sure if their names and gave little to no information about any of them.

Sameer was great! What a nice way to see the sights without the fuss or time of being in a big group. It was tailored to what we wanted to see and up to us when we wanted to jump out to take pix. Highly recommend!

The tour was worth every cent! Our tour guide, Sameer, was absolutely wonderful! We were able to decide what sites were most important for us to see and somewhat customize our experience. There were only (3) of us, but my mother walks with a cane and my brother is a a transfer wheelchair (meaning he can transition into a seat and his chair folds for stowing). Sameer made sure we had easy access to locations and made sure my brother was able to purchase some souvenirs. Sameer even took us to Ben’s Chili Bowl! The entire experience was wonderful! We would highly recommend this private tour.
