This tour and tour guide (Becca) were exceptional. Highly recommend if you are interested in beautiful mansions from the Gilded Age that have now been purchased by countries to house their diplomatic missions to the US. Lots of scandalous stories, too! Loved every minute of the tour.

This tour is ok if you know nothing about history. But do not expect to learn accurately. The guide made many errors in "facts".
Route was not unique.
Do a walk on your own with Google as you go.

This is an inaccurate description of your tour. As evidenced in other reviews, the guide is incredibly knowledgeable and nothing she said was incorrect, but you arrived at the tour telling the guide you've already taken this tour before and spent the entire experience interjecting your own thoughts and opinions to the point that the other family complained. We offer a 2 hour experience that could easily be expanded into a full day walk but as no one requests that we don't share every fact about every thing that can be seen in this historic neighborhood. Arriving at the tour with an open mind to hearing new stories is a benefit to all guests on the tour.

It was informative. And we learned some fun facts. Did not care for the tour ending in the middle of a neighborhood. To make it easier for the out of town people taking the tour, Would recommend circling around to end the tour back at the meeting place where it began.

Thanks for your feedback. Since this is a neighborhood tour, it does start, tour and end in the neighborhood. We want to be able to show as much of the neighborhood as possible so we don't end where we begin, but the tour does end within sight of both the meeting spot and a Metro station to assist with guests heading to other locations, but also we want guests to spend time visiting the museums and restaurants of the neighborhoods to really experience the visit. We'll work with the guides to make it clearer how close we end to a metro and the starting location.

Becca was the perfect tour guide: personable, prepared, interesting, informative. Embassy Row itself was full of beautiful gilded age mansions with interesting histories and architecture. Most of the buildings we saw on the tour are now embassies, which added another layer of interest to their stories. One of the best tours I’ve ever done! (Also liked the very small group size.)

Terrific walking tour in a beautiful Washington DC neighborhood! Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable and informative about all the interesting history and details. The small group format made it very easy to participate. Taking this tour really added a lot to our visit to Washington. Well worth it and highly recommended!
