Itinerary
Your Golden Gate Bridge bike tour starts at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, where you’ll meet your guide. Then take off along a mostly flat route that follows the waterfront of San Francisco Bay.
Pedal past sights like Aquatic Park Cove, part of San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park, and enjoy views of Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. Then continue past Fort Mason Center, a National Historic Landmark; Marina Green, where beautiful homes face the water; the Palace of Fine Arts, built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition; and Crissy Field, part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
When you arrive at Fort Point, at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge, take advantage of a great photo op of the iconic red towers before crossing the bridge’s 1.7-mile (2.7-km) span, which ends at Vista Point, another panoramic viewpoint for photos of the bay and city skyline. Complete the last stretch of your bike tour into Sausalito, a small, upscale town known for its picturesque waterfront scenery.
From Sausalito, you will be on your own to continue exploring however you wish. Continue biking around the area, using your provided map to perhaps conquer the hills of the Marin Headlands or see more of San Francisco, such as the Presidio or Ocean Beach; refuel with food and drinks at one of Sausalito’s many restaurants (own expense); and return to the city at your leisure, either by biking back across the bridge or taking the ferry from Sausalito with your bike (ferry tickets are at your own expense).

A great biking experience with an experienced instructor. It made us feel so adventurous riding along the coastline and then crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. My 9 year old grandson had a blast going downhill towards Sausalito. Even though there are two uphills to ride, they are doable and fairly short, you won’t need an E-bike in case you are wondering.

Jody did a very nice job - great way to see San Fran and Sausalito. We took the ferry back which was a nice option so we didn't have to bike the same path home. Also, we were able to keep the e-bikes until 6:30pm so we do our own tour when the formal one ended.

A must-do San Francisco experience! We had never ridden e-bikes before and this was a perfect introduction, but also fine for experienced riders. Our guide Ryan was excellent, request him if you can. He offered thoughtful commentary, was attentive to our safety, was engaging, and is an all around kind and interesting person. Views on the bridge are breathtaking, and we made just the right amount of photo op stops. A highlight of our trip.

From start to finish this experience was spectacular. Efficient, clean, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had a guided tour that was safe and enjoyable. Mia was our guide, who provided us many places to stop for beautiful pictures, along with wonderful historical facts about the locations. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Our family consists of two adults and two teens. We rented the E bikes, highly recommend them to make the tour more enjoyable.

Adam was our tour guide and he was amazing! He is literally a walking Encyclopedia-he knew so much about the city and made us feel safe. We had a family member who was petrified of bridges and he helped her along and made her feel comfortable and safe and for that we were so grateful. Highly recommended this tour!!

Would probably recommend the electric bike just because there is 3 hills that can be slight difficult to go up on, if you do want a challenge then the regular bike will do. I had a very great experience Adam was out tour guide and he did a amazing job on guiding us and helping with our helmets and offered us sunscreen. Adam also made sure that everyone was in a group and didn’t left us behind.

this was such a fun experience! our tour guide was Ginger and she was great. She took us all around. Told us fun facts about some of the different spots that we stopped at gave us plenty of time to take breaks to grab drinks or snacks. The bridge was super fun, but the wind was crazy strong!!! 💨💨 overall GET the E-bike option for those crazy tall hills, if you buy the regular bike you will SWEAT trying to haul up the tall hills! I can’t wait to do this again!!

Our guide, Ryan, was awesome! He was knowledgeable about the city’s history and brought his own interests into what he shared with us; really interesting insights into the city. He guided us on the bikes through the city, up the hills and across the bridge with ease, and never made anyone feel as though they didn’t have enough experience along the way. He made sure everyone had a good experience, keeping us motivated along the way as the tour was challenging. This was a fantastic tour. If you're a cycling enthusiast, you're in for a real treat and a great workout. Our tour guide Ryan is the G.O.A.T. Kind, knowledgeable, and very down to earth.
The stops along the route were great, learned a lot about the city's history and got some fantastic photos.
I highly recommend this tour. It was a great experience, especially if you want to do something outside of traditional sightseeing.
