Ultra crowded and very hot. Could not stop and appreciate the art because of the crowds. Our tour guide was fantastic, though.
The tour was wonderful. Very explanatory. Really gave us a great overview of the Vatican, what it is and how it works.
Our Vatican tour was great with Alasandra and Crown tours! She was clear, kind, went at a good pace and kept the groups together. We really enjoyed the history about everything in the Vatican museums !
Zara was an excellent tour guide. Very professional and knowledgeable with great interaction with all of the tourists. 5 stars! Definitely recommend!
The tour was one of the best we did in Italy. The guide was amazing and knowledgeable and did a great job of keeping us moving while giving us the time to explore. The Sistine Chapel is a must!
We had an amazing experience. Paula (Spanish speaking tour), our guide is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about what ahe does and professional. I have done this tour before, this one was the best!
If you book for several people and need to cancel a person from your group make sure they cancel the correct person. One of our group couldn’t go and they canceled the wrong person. The one who went couldn’t get in because the name on the ticket didn’t match the person.
Also very crowded. Try going off season. Only had five minutes in Sistine Chapel. Very disappointed.
A lot to see in a short time. Unfortunately we got rushed through the Vatican museum, as im sure everyone on a tour does, but it doesn't allow for you to actually look at things.
The rest of the tour was OK, but next time we might choose to do it on our own
Guides are friendly and knowledgeable. Added interesting context and value. They do a good job of communicating and reminding.
Our tour of the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica was nothing short of extraordinary. Every step felt like moving through layers of history, art, and human achievement that words can barely capture. The grandeur of St. Peter’s, with its soaring dome and intricate detail, was breathtaking in a way that photos never quite convey. And then the Sistine Chapel—standing beneath Michelangelo’s ceiling was a genuinely humbling moment, the kind that makes time feel like it slows down just enough for you to take it all in.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was our guide, Zara. She had an incredible ability to bring everything to life—not just reciting facts, but weaving stories that made the art and history feel vivid and immediate. Her passion was obvious, and it made the entire tour more engaging and memorable. She struck that rare balance of being deeply knowledgeable while also warm, approachable, and genuinely enthusiastic. It felt less like a tour and more like being shown around by someone who truly loves what she does—and that made all the difference.
Ambra was wonderful!! Very kind and knowledgeable. We loved every minute of it. The vastness of the Vatican is insane, and beautiful.
Tour guide was very personable and knowledgable. Vatican City sights can be overwhelming but guide made sure to hit highlights. I do think more could have been seen if we had not stopped so frequently however. This tour was actually organized by Crown Tours. Only note here is they tried to upsell us to $350 smaller group tour, max 20. We declined and discovered our current group was only 7 people lol. So I would skip any upgrades
Crowds will be large even when skipping the line. Guides are sometimes difficult to hear with headset and feedback. Unbelievable sites. Definitely recommend splitting it up over a few days
This experience was great! It was very helpful that we all met at a location near the Vatican before entering. We skipped the line which took about 3min. It was very busy but our tour guide Zara helped our group stay together. She was very knowledgeable and informative! Overall a great experience!
Guide was very knowledgeable. I can’t imagine touring the Vatican without a guide. Well worth the price.

The tour started out great until our tour guide left us in the Sistine Chapel. She gave us 10-15 minutes to check it out then meet her right outside the door, but when we came out 10 minutes later, she was nowhere to be found. There were three of us in the party, so we all heard her instructions. So, we completely missed St Peter’s Basilica. When I told the tour company, they just laughed it off. Never apologized, didn’t offer compensation.
Wonderful experience. Our guide was very informative and had a great personality. She made the tour, which was our first tour of our vacation absolutely amazing. Truly memorable.

No photos allowed inside the Sistine chapel and no shorts either. Our tour guide Helena was great. She was knowledgeable and witty
We took the Vatican Tour: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica with Crown Tours and it was an exceptional experience. Our guide, Paola, was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and very accommodating. She guided us smoothly through the crowds with skip-the-line access while sharing fascinating insights about the art and history. Paola’s enthusiasm and humour made the tour both engaging and enjoyable from start to finish.
Highly recommend Crown Tours and Paola! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tour guide Gina was very good. She explained loads of information all different aspects of the tour some bits we knew buts lots we did not. We could hear her clearly through out and anything we needed she was attentive. Thankyou for our experience and to the other woman that got us registered forgotten her name. Overall great experience. Thanks again Gina from Mr and Mrs Arcaro 👍👍

Disappointed in this tour.. Our guide rushed us through the Vatican and gave us no time to shop.. she said “it’s too expensive in here let’s keep moving”.. we were able to get to the Sistine Chapel, but she had us in there for over an hour waiting on the Basilica doors to open. When the doors didn’t open she said she was going to take us around and wait with us to get in and that would be approximately 30 minutes. The tour guide took us completely outside of the Vatican and then walked us to the corner and told us to “follow the wall to the Basilica”, then she left us.
We had no way of knowing she was leaving us and she did not tell us she was taking us outside of the Vatican leaving us no time to shop or explore on our own.
I had such high hopes of seeing this amazing location and was just left with my family and other tour members standing outside just stunned at being just left before our tour that we paid a significant amount for was not completed and we had no way of getting back into the Vatican.
I have messaged the tour operator and hopefully they will make things right and at least refund some of my fee paid. I just saw another couple that was in my tour and left as well and they booked through Get Your Guide and they were refunded their entire purchase price.. we’ll see what happens.
We had a great guide. My wife has lupus and it was difficult for her to walk. He showed extra care. Great.
The tour was over crowded and we didn’t get to the Basilica due to the possible long wait. The guide spent too much time talking and it led to us taking 3 hours to complete the museum tour. The whole tour was supposed to take 3 hours.
Julian was our tour guide. He was very informative. I gave him five stars. He always made sure his group was there before he moved on. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Elena was great. She kept us together and navigated the crazy crowds well. Her passion for art was enthusiastic and informative. The Vatican Museum was great. Saint Peter’s Basilica was so crowded it felt a bit chaotic, not Elena’s issue more about the crowds.
Looong tour. Last-minute change that excluded St. Peter’s Basilica was disappointing. Too large a group size made it difficult to navigate and follow along, particularly since it was super crowded even with the “no waiting in line” option.
The tour guide was awful she walked way to fast so you lost 90% of what she said and she was more worried about her next tour you felt like our group was an inconvenience. It really soured the experience for the people I went with and we left disappointed with a bad taste in our mouths. Might be better to buy a fast pass and use your phone as the tour guide
The only perk of this tour was the ability to skip most of the line. Asides from that it felt very rushed.
