We took the night golf cart tour. Our guide, Simon, was very friendly and showed us some wonderful spots around town. Our favorite was a beautiful church I didn't know about before and we were able to go inside and view. Simon was also patient with us at stops that we took time for pictures. Ernesto was absolutely wonderful! He drove us to see all the major highlights while taking us backroads to see new parts of the city. He gave us interesting historical facts about each place and district we drove through. If I could request Ernesto again, I would do so in a heartbeat!

We booked the English speaking 90 min evening tour. When we arrived at the meeting point, we were all advised which cart to join. The other family on our cart were late & the guide advised their policy was to wait 10 mins before leaving. They arrived just in time & then another man appeared who turned out to be our driver. He had no headset, couldn’t speak much English & spoke to another guide before we set off. We pulled up to the other guides cart 3-4 times during the tour to hear him speaking but had no commentary whilst driving at all, unlike the other cart. At one point the other guide told us he needed to be back bang on 9:30 as he had another tour meaning we didn’t get our 90mins as we’d set off late. One of the guests from the other cart told us they were being told lots of interesting facts whilst being driven around which we obviously missed out on. We tried to complain & requested a partial refund after the tour but Viator weren’t interested at all! They simply sent a message saying that Luxurbe (the golf buggy company) refused any refund. If this had been my first tour with Viator I wouldn’t have used them again as this was very disappointing.

Matt was a fabulous tour director. He took us to all of the sights. He provided us lots of information about the neighborhoods we were passing through and of all the sights we visited. Seeing the coliseum lit at night was exquisite. We spent a perfect amount of time at each sight to get pictures. We were fortunate to have a beautiful evening to tour around the city. If you get the opportunity to take this tour, do it later in the evening-less tourists, less traffic and the sights are incredible when lit up. Ask for Matt.

The experience is good , but not worth so much money. Especially since this is only a 90 minutes tour. I would say the price of this should be $30-$40 per person. And now they are charging double

Dino was wonderful and my issues were not with him, but with the lack of organization and working equipment from Luxorbe. Registration was total chaos with too many reservations and not enough cars as several were late to arrive. Then Dino’s microphone wouldn’t charge and he had to yell- the back row could never hear him. He did his best with a bad situation and was informative and fun!

Unfortunately we missed some of the sights or were limited in time at the site due to delays starting, a long walk to carts and wasted time elsewhere. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful and if we had seen all that was advertised the rating would have been much higher

Unorganized, started 30 mins late, 10 people Waiting to tour - only one golf Cart. Had to wait for another one to come. No audio to go with the tour. Saw many other golf cart tours going by with audio guides. Rushed through the sites. Then just dumped us at Spanish steps and didn’t take us back to the meeting point. Said there was no time that the tour was over. Took us over half hour to get back as we had no idea where we were going. Driver didn’t want to do the tour that night as he said he tried to give the shift away! So he wasn’t that into it. I was expecting this to be the fav part of Rome. Wishing I went with a different company.

A little confusing at the pickup area, but once the tour was underway, 5 stars! The guide was professional and knew a lot about the history of Rome, and a very good driver too! Would definitely recommend!

We thought this would be a fun way to see several of Rome’s highlights at night. It possibly could have been with a different “tour guide,” but ours left much to be desired. We can’t tell you who to avoid, as he never gave us his name. He showed up 15 minutes late for our tour, without explanation or apology. He gave very limited information about our first stop, and no information for any stop thereafter. He took us to/by only 4 of the 8 listed stops before asking us if we wanted to end the tour there (30 minutes before it was scheduled to end), but we asked to be taken to one more. We then waited in the golf cart for several minutes while he went and got himself a pizza. He appeared visibly annoyed throughout our tour. Seems like he should probably find a different job. Definitely not worth the expense.

Buyer beware!

The tour states “About 3 Hours”, 1/2 our party arrived on time the other half was running late due to traffic and the guide informed us that the tour was only 1.5 hours because the crate needed to be in the garage at 12:30. The tour started at 11:00pm and was supposed to be about 3 hours.. the guides were ok but only one cart out of 3 used a speaker so you could hear what they said. 5 minutes per stop and 3 stops later we were told the tour was over. $1300 down the drain! Buyer beware the tour is not 3 hours, unless 1.5 hours means about 3 hours to you!

They couldn't accomodate us on the date booked and I in good faith agreed to shift dates ! I'm with family and mentioned that I have elder family who are senior citizens. But not hospitable at all and no chivalry not only that we were dropped off and just left there stranded!

RIP OFF-You will not see the sites listed.

RIP OFF!! Do not book this tour! We only had one nt in Rome so chose this tour bcuz the itinerary incl. the main sites we wanted to see. There were 6 people total - one couple is sitting backwards in back of cart-very bumby and unable to hear guide( that was us).When it ended we were shocked because the driver skipped 4 of the 7 listed sights !! Incl. the colisium and Trevi Fountain!! Not happy, we asked why and driver casually said" i go where the passengers want to go " WTF? he never asked any of us and why have an itinerary if you don't intend to follow it??After disputing with Viator, Viator denied because they made up a fake excuse that people took too long looking at other sites leaving not enough time. Total lie. Why skip the 2nd stop then?? He gave us designated time to return ( usually 5-10 min) . He also added a stop that wasn't on the itinerary. Beware , there are many better options out there . Hoping AMX will resolve for me because this is bad business .

(It is listed and even displays photos at bottom from others who have gone on tour) When we were done w tour, 3 of us asked about it but our tour guide (who was great w everything else btw) said its not included, which is not true! Guide arrived late. Had to ask guide to use the speakers to begin with and of course they were not working so we were unable to hear anything in the back. Did not follow the itinerary! Did not see the Trevi Fountain. That was what we wanted to see most with the lights at night. Did not see the Pantheon. Did not see Piazza Novona. Just peaked in through buildings as we quickly drove by. Had to request to see the Spanish steps. He stopped at the top and you could not see the steps or the lights. WASTE OF MONEY! We scheduled this for our last day and were so looking forward to it. It was a huge disappointment!

Our guide Ernesto was great and the tour was fun. It was unfortunate that we had to wait for 15-20min for 2 people who had booked that weren’t in our party. Even though we left late, the tour still ended at 9:30 shortening our 90 min tour to 70 minutes for something that wasn’t our fault.

Golf cart was a great way to see the sites, our tour let us get off and actually go take pictures and spend a couple minutes at each site. ‼️ Don’t sit on the back seat of the golf cart, it sits higher up and you’re facing backwards and you can’t see a thing because of the golf cart roof. no view!

You should be clear that this is not a 'Guided Tour'. You literally just visit some sites where you can stop and take photos. The city at night does look entirely different than it does in the day. The trip did what it said on the tin and was worth it for some great pics.
