Your day tour starts by meeting your guide, who will provide a brief introduction to your electric-assist bicycle, which looks like a regular bicycle but has a small motor that takes most of the effort out of pedaling. Then take off along Rome’s historic streets, stopping occasionally for photo ops and to listen to commentary from your guide about Rome’s many famous landmarks.
Exact routes vary by day, but all of the following sights mentioned will typically be included. Let your bike do the work as you ride up Fagutal Hill (part of Esquiline Hill) for a view of the Colosseum, and then head to Piazza Venezia, the geographical center of Rome, before continuing to the Trevi Fountain, where legend says that if you throw a coin in the water, you are sure to return to Rome someday. Pass by the Spanish Steps on your way to Piazza del Popolo, from where you’ll cycle into the Villa Borghese gardens for a leisurely ride along shady paths.
Stop by the Pantheon and ride through piazza Navona before sitting down for lunch at an Italian trattoria - a meal including appetizers and a dish of pasta or pizza and a drink. After lunch, go see the square and the Basilica of St. Peter as well as Castel Sant’Angelo; ride through the secret back alleys and less-known squares
As your guide takes you over the river to Trastevere, you get to enjoy the colorful ambience of this authentically Roman neighborhood. At the close of the tour witness the monumental ruins of the Roman forum from the vantage point of the Capitoline hill, before making your way back to the shop.

This tour was awesome. We saw everything there is to see in Rome, so didn't feel like we missed anything... if there was something we wanted to see in more detail, then now we knew about it and could schedule a more detailed tour later. The pace was easy and our guide was very knowledgeable. The lunch was fabulous, as well! Really glad we did this tour and have recommended it to many others.

Our tour was amazing! Rik took us through the city and was wonderful. We were fortunate to basically have a private tour for the four of us as no one else was signed up for the tour. I would highly recommend this actitvity to anyone considering booking it!
Response from Host, Jun 2026

Awesome way to discover Rome! Our guide Ximena was excellent - super knowledgeable, friendly and easy to follow on bikes. We learned a lot from her about the city history and landmarks and she made it lots of fun. She was very good about stopping in quiet areas to explain the history/monument and would then watch over the bikes while we would see the sightings. Rome is a busy city and I was afraid this bike tour might be challenging, but it was super smooth! Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun active way to discover the city and its neighborhoods!

Great way to get an introduction to the city and learn a lot of history! So much better than walking or the Hopon Hopoff bus style city tour.
Meghan was friendly, down to earth, full of knowledge and passionate about the city and country. She was a great guide and host and managing to navigate through the crowds and traffic without incident was very impressive!
Bikes were very high quality and everything very organized and professional. Great lunch stop. Would recommend this to anyone even if you are not someone who gets on a bike very often.

7 hour tour @ 20 km distance many stops to see the sites. Lunch was good, nice place shaded off the street behind a small park. Tour guide was Youp, studying history so we got the dirt on everything. Would recommend, will take another tour next time in city. Bike was good, comfortable and easy to use.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We’re so glad you enjoyed the balance of sightseeing, history, and a relaxing lunch stop with Youp. Delighted the bikes were comfortable, and we can’t wait to have you join another tour!

This was THE best tour of all the things we did in Rome. We saw parts of the city we never knew were there. Worried about E-bikes? They are super easy!! This was our first experience and our groups had people of all ages. You don’t have to be in shape or accustomed to bike riding to enjoy this tour. If you can balance on a bike, this tour is for you. Highly recommend!!

A wonderful way to get to see all the highlights of Rome in a day! Our guide, Arina, was fabulous! Lunch was delicious. The e-bikes were in great shape. Climbing the hills was a breeze with the e-bikes! Would recommend 100%!!!!

It's nice to see that you enjoyed the tour! This one in particular is the most complete, it offers a 360° view of Rome: you travel through the history of the Eternal City, you try good food and you are in good company with our guides! All accompanied by the pleasure of driving an electric bike that makes everything easier!

Top Bike reached out ahead of time to reschedule us to a half day tour as they didn't have enough for the full day tour. They gave us plenty of notice and a choice of half day alternatives (with a refund of the difference or the option to cancel) We did the half day sights of Rome tour with Fabio.
We had a great experience. Bikes were top-notch, and the guide was outstanding. The tour was very informative with lots of depth and detail at every stop. The tour was also really fun, zipping through alleys and parks. Fabio paid lots of attention to the group safety on the bikes, plus shares his passion and love for the history of Rome.

Rik was amazing! We had a great time on the E-bikes! It was the perfect way to see a lot of Rome in a short amount of time. Rik was very informative and knowledgeable on topics that helped us get a better understanding of the history. Could not recommend this tour more. I would warn you should be decently fit and comfortable riding around some of the busier streets on the e-bike but our guide did great at helping us navigate when necessary!
Erica_H, Apr 2025
Great guides - very knowledgeable about the history of what we were seeing and so friendly and safely took us thru the city. Would definitely do this again - one of their other tours. Super fun!

This bike tour was simply the best! Our guide was Carmen, our guide, I would highly recommend. The tour was seven hours long covering about 20 km with Many stops for photo opportunities. Carmen was very educational! And we had a delicious lunch at the halfway point. the bikes were in perfect condition and they’re simply no better way to see all of Rome!
Response from Host, Oct 2024
Thank you, Larry! We are delighted to hear you've had a great day with Carmen on our tour! We agree there's no better way to see Rome than on a bike!

Ariana and Francesca were amazing tour guides. We had the true Italian experience. The places we visited were rich with culture and history.
Our lunch was at a bar and ristorante with wonderful food and a fun waiter Valentino. Grazie!!

We had a wonderful day with Arina. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She worked with our large group (10) that included some teens. The lunch was very good as well. We highly recommend seeing the city this way - I loved the little back roads/paths that we took to avoid some of the congestion.
Stephanie_P, Jun 2024
Best tour we did in Rome! We saw all the major sites and our guide, Youp, told us loads of interesting information at each one. The bikes were easy to ride and a really fun way to see the city. Book this tour! You won’t be disappointed.
Ruth_L, Apr 2024
This tour was a brilliant way to cover so much ground. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and lunch was delicious! Would recommend.
Jennifer_K, Mar 2024
The BEST way to see Rome in a day! Fun, relaxing, great guide, and so much covered. It felt like a local experience biking around. I’d do it again just for fun. Loved the neighborhoods we got to see!
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Having the possibility to pass by little alleys and backroads is what really make the difference, and we are happy that you had fun doing it!

This was an amazing way to see so many sights in Rome. The host was so friendly and knowledgable. The bikes were high quality and in great shape. Each stop was short, giving us time to see everything. For the attractions we wanted to have time inside, we booked individually. The lunch stop was amazing.
Response from Host, Nov 2023
Rome in a day tour really gives you an understanding of Rome to the maximum. We are glad that you also enjoyed lunch!

Rick was amazing- this was the best way to see the city and our guide was truly an expert. He made everyone feel comfortable and answered all questions with a thorough understanding of the sites and history. A little tough navigating crowded streets of Rome but worth the challenge!

This was one of the best tours we’ve ever done. It was an excellent way to view the city and stop at the major milestones as well as some hidden gems. My family and I (two college students, my husband and I and my 80 year old father in law) absolutely loved it! Our hide, Arina, was excellent. I would do this tour again if we came back to Rome. This is a wonderful tour.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
We are glad to hear you enjoyed Arina's company! Her spirit and the e-bikes make the 7-hour tour pass like a breeze!
Hope to have you ride with us again!

My family (including a 12 and 14 year old) loved this tour so much. The kids LOVED the e-bikes and I did as well…riding was so easy. All 17 miles. You cover so much ground and have a wonderful overview of the entire historic area (along with all the history). This is a great way to start your trip so you can decide where you want to explore later. I would highly recommend this all day tour! Valerio was such a great guide with so much knowledge and patience. Thank you!! We hope to do another tour in the future!
Ingrid_H, May 2023

This was a fantastic experience. I recommend seeing Rome this way! The e bike made this possible for my fitness level and it was so fun! We met nice people as we spend the day seeing the sights and being guided by our excellent leader Joop. We learned a lot! I felt safe and looked after also going through the town with traffic and such, Joop was a good leader. The lunch they took us too was top notch and delicious. A little rain did not stop us and we thoroughly enjoyed this experience. So very glad we tried this for the first time.
Jessica_R, Apr 2023
This was such a great way to see Rome. A truly once in a lifetime experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable and accommodating. Do this tour on your first day here, you will not regret it!
Kelly_G, Mar 2023
I actually was not able to attend the tour with lunch as there were not enough participants so they rebooked me with another tour and offered to refund the difference. True to their word the refund was issued same day. The tour was amazing and Arina was so knowledgeable and friendly. I loved seeing the city by bike. A favorite, biking through Villa Borghese.
Mark_G, Nov 2022
Loved that we were able to go to all the major sight seeing areas at high level and places that otherwise we would not have walked to due to distance or hill level. The group was small so we were able to stay together at all times and converse with each other during the lunch.
Guide was knowledgeable and helpful with less experienced riders and a big plus is that we had a 2nd guide who was in training, loved it.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Dear Mark,
Thank you so much for your feedback! We are delighted to hear you've enjoyed your tour with us! In our opinion, the e-bikes are just the best way to zoom around Rome, being able to see places and go up hills that you simply wouldn't get to by foot. Of course, even better when you get two guides for the price of one!
We hope to have you with us again in the future!
Brian_S, Oct 2022
What a great way to see Rome. Can’t believe how many interesting places we visited and how much we learned. Our guide, Elena, was absolutely outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other riders. And as if that was not enough - lunch was delicious. Highly recommend this adventure.
