Sahrah was an awesome tour guide!!! She kept the group moving and kept us safe. She provided a lot of history and background wherever we went. She also gave just the right amount of time to take pictures and fill up our water bottles. Would not hesitate to recommend her!!

Great tour guide, but it was hard to enjoy as the roads are very busy with cars and pedestrians. This city is not built for bikes.

I often book a bike tour when visiting cities and this one was excellent, our guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. I was with a small group which meant no one got lost! Would recommend! We got to see many of the highlights in Rome which is always helpful to decide where to go back to.

We had a great few hours on the tour. It was very very busy so take this in mind if you’re not a confident rider. Very informative and funny guide. Would totally recommend

I loved sightseeing by bike! Rome was my first time, then I decided to repeat this experience in London.

A wonderful activity as a family and to get your bearings in Rome! Our guide, Bruno, went above and beyond to care for our children and to keep us all safe. We got to see at least 10-12 major sites and a great explication of each site.
Be sure to have your phone online and confirm that we are on your way before the activity. Each person has a radio/earpiece so that you can hear the guide's explanation and directions. Truly a wonderful experience!

I would highly recommend this cycle tour of Rome. 4 hours is the perfect time to get a snapshot of the city's highlights, which you can then return to if you want. The riding is easy as Rome is flat and, our guide (M. ) was excellent and informative, giving us great recommendations to visit in Rome separate to the tour! AR

Excellent way to see some of the highlights of Rome. We felt completely safe. Stefano was an amazing guide! It was not taxing at all. Very flat. Highly recommend!
Maren_W, Aug 2025
We really enjoyed the bike tour in Rome - it gave us a great opportunity to see the most important attractions and get to know them through all the information Mat gave us during the tour, we had time to walk around as well and learned some insights and further Must Sees in Rome. Many thanks

We had a fantastic time. Our flight was very delayed out of London and we arrived late to Rome- weather issue. We rushed in the heat and didn’t realize how far the office was from us (blame Chat GPT for helping us!). When we arrived after rushing in the heat, my daughter wasn’t feeling well. She hadn’t eaten lunch or drunk any water. The tour needed to start. The staff were so professional. We asked for them to help us out. They got the tour started with the other bikers while my daughter recovered and when she was ready we got on the bikes and they caught us up to the rest of the tour. We had a fantastic tour and would 100% do it again. We got all the main highlights in the center of Rome. I am so glad we decided to book with them. I hate I can’t remember our leaders name. Female. Lovely. Alessandro helped us out to catch up with the group when my daughter felt better.

It’s a good balance between rides and stops. Our guide was sweet and knowledgeable about pretty much everything we saw and was commenting as we rode, then we would stop for a few minutes ( as much as 20 sometimes) to hear more about the site or to have ice cream or coffee. The ride was mostly flat, no need for e-bike. It’s an excellent way to see many sites from antique Rome to 20th century via renaissance and baroque era.

It was very informative fun to be on the bikes. Guide was very sweet and knowledgeable.. unfortunately in the afternoon crowds are pretty bad so probably better to do it in the morning

Perfect tour and perfect guide. The guide was very attentive to the group members with great humour!
Claire_B, Jun 2025
While riding around Roma and visiting some of its famous sites was good, the lack of depth in the Roman history our guide gave us on those sites was more than disappointing.
It’s the 1st bike tour I book via Viator that I am not happy with.
I wouldn’t recommend this bike tour if the quality of the guides we got is representative of The Fat Tire guides. Disappointing
Melisa_F, Jun 2025
Fat Tire Tours offer the best experience, quality of bikes and Guides.
This is the only bike company to use.
I would highly recommend as we have had a bad experience with other operators in Munich.
Thank you so much

Daniele gave us a wonderful tour. He clearly knows the city, and entertained us with fun facts and details you don't see in a guidebook.
We liked his take on the people, places and events of ancient Rome, how he compared eras in Roman history to Netflix seasons, or layers in a lasagna. We felt safe even if everyone now tells us "You rode bikes in Rome?" This was truly one of the highlights of our stay in Italy.

We landed in Rome and did this bike tour that afternoon. It was a great was for us first timers to get an overview of the city, stretch our legs after a long flight and learn a little history. The tour made stops in a lot of the spots everyone wants to see. At each stop, our guide, Marika, gave us a little history and a few minutes to explore each of them. Enough time to walk around, go inside a church and take some pictures, etc. Was nice because we didn’t have to go back to those places later in our trip because the bike tour took us there (Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona, Campo dei Fiore, etc). Loved seeing the city this way. Rome has cobblestone streets and it’s crowded. So know that before going. It’s uneven and you have to dodge people. Rome is flat so pedaling was easy. Our group was 9 people and it was easy to keep up. Sometimes it was a little hard to hear through the headset while riding but Marika stopped frequently to make sure we were all together. Great, fun tour and Marika was great!

Matt was great. Very knowledgeable and got to see many sights in Rome. He was great with recommendations as well
Shannon_B, Apr 2025
lovely experience. our guide was knowledgeable and delightful! we saw the important sights of Rome but we never felt rushed at all while stopping at each part. i definitely recommend the e-bike. it made it very leisurely while pedaling up some difficult hills.

Elena was magical! She knew so much out the city and it was a dream to travel by bike. She dazzled
Us with many stories and made the history of the city come to life! Highly recommend this tour! Thank you
