Driver was excellent, very nice, and a very good driver. Our vehicle broke down on the way to the port and he called an Uber to come and get us to finish the trip to the port, they paid. We had left more than early enough as we always plan for “just in case” and still arrived more than early enough. We were only 20 min delayed due to this. Would still highly recommend.

Tlhese people are scammers. I booked and paid for a minivan because my wife requires a wheelchair. They contacted the night before and said that due to my wife having a wheelchair I would need a minivan and in order to get I would have to pay the driver an additional 50 euros.

We are sorry to read this review as it it not true. First of all you did NOT book and pay for a minivan but for a sedan. That is why we asked you if you wanted to upgrade to a van to be more comfortable. You said yes so we proceeded with the upgrade. Otherwise we would have simply sent a sedan that you booked and paid for.

Excellent door to door service

Excellent service from this company. We asked them to pick us up an hour ahead of scheduled and they were. Able to meet that request. We had a pick up at the hotel in Rome, which the driver arrive 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Pick up at the hotel was a breeze and easy ride to the cruise port. No issues. Very professional. Would use them again. Better than taking a taxi where you won’t know how much you’ll pay until you get there. Recommend the service.

Inexperience transportation company

NEVER AGAIN! Reserved transportation for five adults from Rome to the cruise port and they send a van that accommodates five passengers but can only hold two large suitcases in the back. You would think, five passengers, five suitcases with most likely five carryons yet I was told it was my fault for not conveying the number of suitcases so no refund. When do you have five passengers going to the cruise port and only have two suitcases, go figure.

We are sorry to read this review, as it is absolutely not true. We sent a 6 seats van, however you each had 3 or 4 oversized luggages each plus some bags (we have photos as proof) and failed to mention so in the reservation. If you had mentioned it, we would have contacted you to arrange another form of transportation.

Driver arrived at little early which was fine but we had arranged checkout from our hotel a bit later. Vehicle was upscale and the driver pointed out some interesting sites as we passed them. We arrived conveniently as the driver had a pass to get into the port. Only slight negative was the driver insisted that we provide a cash tip.

I will admit we had a lot of luggage but we booked for 7 people. The van they sent had seating for 7 with the front seat. We willing to ride with luggage in the car but he said he could not because of Italian law. He was not helpful in providing any solutions, calling a taxi or any solutions. Very frustrating and driver was less than pleasant on the drive

The driver tried to change our pick up time to an hour later and we said no, that’s not what we booked. She was 15 mins late and had people in her car when she pulled up to get us. She made that family get out even though it wasn’t their hotel. It was not a good situation.

It is true that the driver was 15 minutes late because of an accident on the road to your hotel, however she did not try to change the pickup time: she just contacted you saying that, due to the accident, she might have been a bit late. As for the clients she had in the van, what you said is simply not true: she had clients going to your accommodation, so she took them at the destination and then picked you up.

We're sorry to read this review as it does not tell all the truth. We recommend to tell us in advance if carrying many overized luggages (as it was your case) so we can send the appropriate vehicle. You did not disclose this information, and when our driver arrived he could not fit everything safely in the car. Viator did not grant a refund because we sent proof of all of this.

Do not take a transfer thru Viator the driver was 20 minutes late and had a small car that could only carry two pieces of luggage and one passenger we asked if they could get a larger vehicle they said it would be impossible and left us in an alley in the center of Rome

Second of all, we recommend to tell us in advance if carrying many overized luggages (as it was your case, there were 8 oversized luggages for 2 people only) so we can send the appropriate vehicle. You did not disclose this information, and then berated our driver and tried to force the luggages in the car. The driver did absolutely not leave you in an alley, he was polite enough to tolerate your abuse and simply said that the luggages won't fit in the car before going away, you were still at your hotel.

Another Horrifying Experience With Viator Services!

We were picked up way too early. Although the time was set for 7:00am, I asked to be picked up at 8:00am but wasn’t accommodated. Then the driver called me to tell me that she had already arrived at 6:30am. I told her that we were supposed to be picked up at 7:00am. She mentioned something about the traffic this and that and the sooner we left, the better. So i’m here in Rome not knowing where anything is so I went along to get along. The car again was very small and uncomfortable and could have used a wash. I paid close to $300 for another disappointing car SERVICE. Again people don’t be FOOLED by VIATOR telling you that you would be traveling in luxury because that is far from truth. It looks like they just call someone they know and ask if they could do them a favor. I purchased 3 cars for this trip and it cost me also $1,000 for the three cars. When I go on vacation, I try to treat myself SPECIAL BUT THIS EXPERIENCE WITH THESE CARS AND THE DRIVERS WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. Anyway, the driver got her way and we arrived to the port so early that we were left outside the cruise terminal on a VERY COLD DAY freezing because the terminal wasn’t even opened to the public. Another VIATOR HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE!
