My flight unfortunately was over 2 hrs late, so I had to make some serious compromises on what I could see, but my driver was there awaiting me, and together we made the best of a crummy situation. He did a great job figuring out how to get through traffic and as close as possible to the couple of stops we did get to make. He was wonderful!

We were supposed to be picked up at the airport in Rome for an English speaking tour of the city before being dropped off at our cruise ship. The driver was over an hour late even arriving to the airport so being in a foreign country unable to communicate in the native language, unfamiliar with the airport and having no idea where to go or what to do was a distressing start to say the least. Then once our driver did arrive he didn't speak ANY english. We had booked an English speaking tour! We had to communicate via Google translate on our phones and he pulled up English Wikipedia explanations of what we were looking at. We paid A LOT of money for this tour - more than double, approaching triple, what we paid for any tour anywhere in Europe over the next two weeks. DO NOT book this if you do not speak Italian and especially if you are relying on it as the start of a great vacation.

Fabio was excellent. He was knowledgeable, efficient and his English was excellent. He’s a master at driving through very tight streets and his timing was impeccable. Our flight was delayed and we were stuck in the immigration line for over an hour but he waited and was exactly where he said he would be. We traveled with 8 people (ages 11 to 83) and the transfers and tour went as smoothly as one could ask for.

Our tour guide and driver, Fabio, was very accommodating and we were able to see all the sites we wanted to see in Rome in a very limited amount of time. He even took us to additional places that he thought we would enjoy seeing. We highly recommend this tour!

Perfect Rome 4-hour tour for pre-cruisers

Our driver was just outside the FCO arrivals waiting for us, making it an easy pickup. He scurried us to Rome to make the most of our time before returning us to the port. We saw everything in a short amount of time. Really need a full day for Rome sights but for the time we had, we saw a lot with the experience of the driver knowing lots of backroads and ways around traffic.

Too Much to See

Our driver, Luca, was awaiting us as we left baggage claim. He helped us get loaded and then, at our request, took us to a small cafe for coffee. (We had arrived at 7:00 a.m.) He then took us to the highpoints of Rome--the Forum, Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Vatican City. He allowed us as much time as we'd like at each to take pictures and was always waiting and ready to move to the next spot. The van had ample room for the six of us and was very comfortable. We arrived in plenty of time to board for our cruise. This service is excellent.

Our guide was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived. The van was extremely comfortable. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and the must see sights. His command of English was very good and we were able to understand most of the information he was giving us. After the extensive tour of Rome he drove us to the port. We feel that we received excellent value for the cost of the service we received..

We were very happy with our driver - the pick up was on time, easy to find well chosen itinerary but also flexible when we asked to stop for a coffee or to see something else. One caution - even though the tour advertises driver/guide, not much guiding is happening so don't expect a real guided tour. But you get to see the sites and find out what they are so overall it was a great experience. Thank you!
