This was a lot of fun. Good practical class. Small group of 8. Highly recommend. It’s out of the busy city of Rome in a country setting and you have a wonderful meal as well. Teacher was good and learned so much!

The cooking class was such a fun experience!! From start to finish the class was engaging! We got to make homemade pizza and put it in the pizza oven ourselves (SO COOL)! Making pasta from scratch was an experience I’ll never forget! The class overall I would recommend time and time again! It was so fun and left with a full stomach!!

We had a wonderful experience at a pizza and pasta making class in Rome/Laurentina and highly recommend it. While it does take a bit of travel to get there, it’s absolutely worth it and shouldn’t discourage anyone from going. The total travel time including Metro from Rome Center (Spanish Steps) and van drive is approximately 50 mins. The class was excellent—well organized and fun—and the instructor was knowledgeable and engaging. The food we made was fresh and delicious, and the complimentary wine and water were a great touch. The night was ended with Tiramisu and lemoncello! Overall, a memorable and worthwhile experience.

This was a great experience to learn how to make authentic pasta and pizza dough. Alysia (not sure of spelling), the instructor was very friendly, knowledgeable, people oriented and funny.

Tucked away in a hidden part of Romes countryside within the city limits is this wee gem of a cooking class:) Alessia has the perfect balance of teacher and entertainer, keeping things light and fun as we learnt about pizza dough and how to make different pasta. Fab experience!

This was easily one of the worst experiences we had booking an activity during our trip to Italy, and I would strongly caution anyone considering this class. The Viator listing presented multiple pickup/location options in Rome, but it did not clearly identify where the cooking class would actually take place. Because location was important to our plans, I began contacting the provider on September 5, weeks before our scheduled class, specifically asking them to confirm the actual location. I reached out multiple times and received no response. Despite having weeks to answer a very simple question, the provider did not confirm the actual location until we were already inside the 24-hour cancellation window. Their only excuse was that they don't check their viator chat, and that it was my fault for not pursuing other contact methods. The location they finally provided was not the location marked on the map as pickup location on the listing and was substantially farther outside central Rome. They advertise transportation, but the designated pickup point was roughly 20 minutes away from the pickup point provided on the listing map, while the actual class location was only about another 10 minutes beyond that. Also, their 'free transportation' was just meeting at the train station. Had the actual location clearly been disclosed on the listing or had they answered any of our attempts to confirm it. We could have made an informed decision while we were still eligible to cancel. Instead, after repeatedly trying to get this information well in advance, we finally received it only after the cancellation deadline had effectively passed. When we explained the situation and requested a refund, the provider refused. As a result, we lost the entire $265 we paid for an activity we did not attend. To be clear, this was not a case of us changing our minds at the last minute. We proactively contacted the provider weeks beforehand because their listing was unclear. The combination of multiple locations being presented on the listing, their failure to answer repeated requests for clarification, disclosure of the actual location only after we were inside the cancellation window, and then refusing to refund our $265 was completely unacceptable. I can't review the cooking itself because we ultimately could not attend. I can, however, review how our booking was handled, and based on that experience I would never book with this provider again. If you're considering this class, get the exact location of the class itself confirmed IN WRITING before booking. Do not assume that any of the locations presented on the listing are where the class will actually take place.

Overall a good experience! Instructor was good and patient. Great with kids. Only downside is the location. It’s misleading. The address on Viator is not where you go. It’s a 20/25 min train ride to the last stop from Rome termini and then one of their employees picks you up and that’s another 15 mins. I picked his place based on location. It wasn’t that bad but still, i wasn’t aware of that it’s so far from location. Pizza was good. Atmosphere was good. My kids would remember the experience as being positive.

Wonderful experience except for the heat wave. This venue is outdoors in a beautiful country side but not recommended for August with heat and mosquitos. We did have a fabulous time learning new cooking methods.

Confusing does not give it justice

Make sure you call the guy at least 3 times and confirm the correct meeting point as they give you four different addresses 1 of which doesnt exist the others being at least 30 mins away from the other and a 70 euro cab ride . ... heads up its not even in the city of Rome its in a cooking school outside the city limits. We asked for a refund since we had 75yr old and a 10 yr old and obviously went to the meeting point in there most "recent" message to us. Oh BTW there were multiple confusing changes that were sent via whats app half of which made no sense. They them selves say dont click on the location point in Google maps cause its no where near the place.. then why have it. They refused to issue a refund so I have now reported them to BBB and canceled the card on file Good Luck to them. BE CAREFUL READ ALLLLLL SMALL DETAILS lots of confusion

Lei si è rifiutata di prendere il mezzo più semplice e sicuro per recarsi al meeting point che le sarebbe costato 1 euro non 70. Suo marito aveva perfettamente inteso il meeting point, che é facile da raggiungere e dista 15 minuti da dove lei si trovava (erroneamente e non per causa nostra ovviamente). Adesso questa recensione dimostra il vostro atteggiamento malevolo nei nostri confronti. Mi ha chiaramente minacciato che se non l'avessi rimborsata avrebbe sia aperto una disputa bancaria ed evidentemente non le é bastato. Noi non abbiamo informazioni scritte in piccolo di nascosto, lavoriamo onestamente da 14 anni e ovviamente quando un cliente ci chiede cancellazione e rimborso durante il collecting del meeting point perché non ha letto dove dover andare (come le ho dimostrato su whatsapp) non possiamo accontentare la richiesta.

This was a wonderful experience! Yes Viator has the incorrect point marked on the map. However the school tells you this in all its communication. You can take the metro to Laurentina, which is what we did. David was our driver and was there as expected and we had wonderful conversations on our way to and from the school. Now, onto the class! We can’t say enough about this fantastic experience!! We had Chef Michele and he was informative and entertaining. We learned about how to make pasta dough then we made two types of pasta: cavatelli and fettuccine. The pastas were made with a red sauce for the cavatelli and simple “alfredo” sauce for the fettuccine… no cream as we are used to in the USA. Both were amazing. Making of the pizza was another highlight and the favorite for my younger children. It was delicious! Easily the most delicious pizza we had during our tour of Italy. They provide wines, from a local winery, and plenty of cold water included with the class. You will not leave hungry or thirsty! Such an amazing experience with wonderful people who love what they do. We hope you are up for a bit of an adventure and visit this beautiful hidden gem.

Worse experience with any cooking class ever. Started with issues with location. Wanted me travel 35 mins by metro when it says it close to the colosseum. Once this issue was raised they finally decided to say they would pick up from the original location. We went and spent the day at the colosseum then we found a babysitter and spent 250euros for one for the hours we were gonna be away and then the driver never showed up. She messaged me that they were there and sent me in a wild walk all around but no one was there. So disappointing as this trip we got married and we’re hoping to have a cool cooking experience in the heart of rome

When this was clarified, you requested a refund and explicitly wrote that, if we did not refund, you would leave a negative review. We have the written messages documenting this. Despite this, we still arranged a team member at the requested meeting point at the scheduled time as a courtesy. The issue was never a refusal to assist you; the issue was that we could not legally and safely transport or admit an infant to the facility. Your review states that the driver “never showed up,” but our written conversation and operational records show that our team was sent to the meeting point and was actively trying to locate you. We cannot compromise guest safety or insurance requirements, and we cannot treat a refund demand linked to a threatened negative review as a fair description of our service. We are sorry the class did not happen, but we stand by our conduct and by the safety rules that apply to every guest.

This activity is way out of the way but was a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed seeing more of a woodsy/country section of Rome and that class was fun and informative (and yummy). Highly recommend. Just be sure you are aware of the distance. They offer a free van which is useful if you want to take the metro to the pickup area, or happen to be near that area.

Great experience! My 15 year old daughter & I did this at the height of summer - so much fun, and the location is beautiful! Be advised that much of the experience is outdoors - in the shade at all times, but outdoors. It was very warm when we were there, makes it a bit difficult to enjoy pizza and pasta when you’re hot - but they did a marvelous job and would recommend highly!

This was a great cooking course. Our chef Alicia was very knowledgeable and explained well so I now know I can make author pizza and pasta at my home. However they advertise the wrong pick up location so we had to pay to catch the train at the last minute to make our booking. This added stress to my afternoon and meant we had to catch the train back to town at night. They were aware of this issue in their listening but do not fix it.

Wonderful Day Activity

We booked this experience in advance and felt like we received plenty of information and directions on how to get there. We opted to take the Metro, and were greeted with a friendly smile within the timeframe they said we would be picked up. The class was located outside of Rome, but we loved getting to see outside of the city. It did take additional time, but we felt it was worth the journey. The cooking class is outside in rustic style huts and outdoor area. It was so quaint and pleasant. Our chef for the day Alessia was so engaging, funny, and helpful. We are so glad we read the reviews about not eating before! We did the 10:30 class and it was perfect timing for lunch. We ate our homemade pizzas, pasta, and tiramisu and were stuffed. We were impressed with the class and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to do a fun half day activity.

The directions were not very clear. It’s really far from the initial point. I would have never picked it if they said I would have to take 3 subway stations. Just say one address !!! The directions in maps also we’re not clear

We actually don't have 3 subways (2 and very easy to use) in Roma, you were the only one who had problems to get our team because you didn't read the instructions. We gave all the support to help, but probably you were tired for your day.
