Winery tour was fantastic. Tour of Frascati was just okay. Tour guide was great and knowledgeable, but town is small and easily navigable. Would rather have walked around and did our own thing.

Tour was great at the winery and in town. Sampling the local wine with the porchetta and the meal were excellent. Would highly recommend tour to anyone. Tour guide Alana I believe was her name was super. The only difficult part was finding platform 20B at termini station with long walk

Fascinating vineyard with an interesting history. Our host, Paola, was an expert and gave us some fantastic tips on how to spot good wine.

The tour largely focuses on wine production in Frascati and, in particular by one vineyard. The owner was very knowledgeable and pleasant, and her tour included time among the vines as well as in her cave cellar. We tasted three wines, two from her vineyard and one from Rome and she taught us what to look for when tasting the wines. The setting was lovely! After the final tasting and a chance to purchase wine, we went to the city center for a short walking tour that included a tasting of the local pork. We then walked to the restaurant for the included lunch, which was great. The guide departed during lunch, so it was up to you to get back to the train station at a time of your choosing to return to Rome. With respect to the train tickets that were supposed to be included in the price, I never received them, but it appears that it was a miscommunication between me and Viator. Make sure to send a confirmation email when they send the excursion ticket. If you don't get sent train tickets, they are easy to purchase at the terminal and cost under 5 euros for the round trip.

Our day in Frascati at the vineyard couldn’t have been more enjoyable. The short ride from the train station to the vineyard was beautiful and once on property it only got better. We were able to walk around the vineyard while learning all about how the grapes are harvested and the history of the land the vineyard was on. We stepped into the wine cellar and were completely taken aback by how beautiful it was and the history of everything. It was so amazing being able to drink wine that was being made in a building that was hundreds and hundreds of years old. The wine. The olive oil. All of it was simply amazing!! Once we left the vineyard we got go on a tour of the city itself and enjoyed a simple and amazing lunch as well as some snacks from a local shop. I would recommend this trip to anyone. You will not be disappointed!!

The winery was amazing. Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was perfect as was the setting. The portion of the tour after in the city was strange. Our guide walked us around and the dropped us off at lunch. We did not go to the bakery that we were expecting. Seemed like it was Saturday and she had other things to do. Also, the meeting location in the Viator app was incorrect which made us miss the meeting site and have to taxi all over to find our way. I gave 5 stars for the winery experience only. Viator messed this one up!

The instructions for traveling to Frascati were excellent. We met our group and traveled 5 minutes to the charming winery. Simone was a friendly, knowledgeable and fun. After a wine tasting with delicious cheese and bread we were transported to the town of Frascati. Our tour guide Paola, was full of energy and much fun. The group lunch was also very good.

Frascati has an amazing view overlooking the city of Rome. Easy train ride takes you out of the city into the countryside. Hard to believe so close.

From the beginning everything was perfect! The tour of the winery with Paola to the delicious wines and foods paired perfectly with the wines. Paola was an absolute amazing and delightful host!

we took the train to frascati and well informed about where to meet ; we have been taken to an amazing wine cellar and vineyard , there was a table that perfectly decorated for us ; we have been to the vineyard to learn about how they cultivate and preserve the grapes for great wine ... we had tasting and then we moved to frascati center for lunch and tasted porchetta w wine on the way there ... lunch and bio-wines were soooo tasty and we had a lovely group that we really enjoyed their company... but the best of all was out tour guide Giovanna... she was born and raised in Frascati and she had perfect knowledge about everything that you might ask about the city...

The wine explanation and history of the winery was exceptional. The rest was lacking. Limited wine tasting and after explaining why house wine is mediocre we are left at a restaurant that served less than average house wine. The tour of the city was not informative. Overall over priced for the experience.

Excellent tour guide. Told interesting stories, was very informative and has a sense of humor. Samples of wine and cheese at the winery. The food at the restaurant was mediocre.

It was great discovering the history and culture of both Frascati wines and the Frascati town via the owners of a small wine and olive growing and producing family and a passionate local tour guide.
The history of the wine cellar has to be seen to be believed. The wine tasting and traditional Italian meal were great.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this trip and it was a perfect introduction to the Frascati region. Both guides were very personable and they made us feel like part of the family. The wine tasting was amazing and we loved the intimate setting in the vineyard. The old town was equally as pleasant and we could not complain about the food and wine on offer at the local restaurant. We would seriously recommend this trip if you fancy an experience outside of Rome!

We are extremely saddened to read this review, especially after all the efforts we put into making sure you could still do your tour since the driver you chose to arrive to Frascati took the wrong direction three times which delayed your arrival of 1 hour and a half.
We are a little surprised to read that the lunch was poor since you had several antipasti, a primo, and coffee and cookies since due to the late arrival you missed the bakery in town.
The winery had to stay open late just to make sure you could have an amazing experience despite this inconvenience - which again, was not our fault.
When you say "We were promised a lot more", are you referring to the food only?
Because we were adivsed that since you were so late, YOU insisted not to have the tour in town and go straight to the restaurant, but the town tour was indeed included.
Finally, after you did your tour our coordinator got a message from you about how great this tour was, so we are a bit saddened to read a review where you complain about several venues but do not mention what you appreciated on the other hand.
Nevertheless, we hope you had a lovely trip to Italy.

We loved every minute of this tour and it ended up being in our top three favorite things we did on our entire Mediterranean trip to Italy, Greece and Turkey. The people spoke with such passion, Simone was a great and very knowledgeable guide (we learned a ton) and the wine was perfect. We were looking to get out of the busyness of Rome and this was the perfect choice. Book it - you won't regret it.

Our host at the vineyard was very informative and friendly. She made us feel welcome and the wine was excellent. We also appreciated the short tour of the town of Frascati and the lunch was very good. It was nice to get out of the city for a day and enjoy the views from the hills. We had an amazing experience during our tour in Frascati that exceeded expectations. We learned about the local grapes and history of the area, got a tour of the vineyard, and tasted delicious wines. Afterwards, we were taken back into the town of Frascati and given a walking tour of the town before going to the restaurant for lunch. Lunch was delicious with meats and cheeses, pasta, and wine. Definitely would recommend this as a day trip out of Rome!

We've been to several wine tasting events in other countries and can say this one was by far the most enjoyable. The lady who hosted our party was the boss but, unfortunately, I can't remember her name, however, she was really informative and lead the event well. Both the historic setting and the buildings were really interesting with the caves/vaults below being an added bonus. The wine tasted wonderful and the tasting instruction was educational. The only pity was we didn't have an opportunity to buy any at the winery.
We then visited the quaint and historic town of Frascati where we had lunch in a local restaurant. The weather was against us but this part of the event was also very enjoyable and worthwhile.
A highly recommended wine tour.

We had a great day meeting lots of new people and a very informative tour. The wine freely flowed and we were given a great tour of the wine cellars and the environment where the wine is made.
We later went on for a guided tour of Frascati which was lovely and gave us an insight into the local produce, this was followed by lunch with our fellow tour participants. Wine again flowed well and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed with a nice traditional Italian lunch served where the locals go!
